Looks like it just may be me and my dad watching the Super Bowl this year and I think we're just going to snack on appetizers instead of having a full meal. I have some Pastry Pups and Mac and Cheese balls from TJs, but I'd like a couple more easy apps to go with. My dad has very few teeth so it needs to be soft and not super chewy.
What are your go-to apps?

our menu is undecided so far although dd18 did request sliders
options we're considering:
meatballs in bbq sauce/cranberry sauce little smokies wrapped in crescent roll dough a veggie/fruit/cheese platter sausage rolls deviled eggs tea sandwiches (we like cucumber/cream cheese, egg mayo (egg salad), cheddar/tomato, crab/cucumber, tuna mayo(tuna salad)) - we usually make 2-3 types when we do this some sort of homemade dip with crackers or crisps (chips)
Since it's just the three of us - I like to make things that either are in small quantities or that work well as leftovers
I'll probably add something sweet as well - maybe brownies or cookies or ...I don't know yet

Chicken wings
Vegetables (all cut) - cucumber, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, radishes, green onions
Chips
Dips - nacho, ranch, onion

Oh, Im also making bacon-wrapped water chestnuts. I havent made them in years although I love them! Curious how you make these as I love them too. I’ve seen recipes where they are basted with a bbq type sauce. But those that i remember seem to have the water chestnuts marinated in some type of soy or Worcestershire type marinade. I’ve never tried to make them so I am clueless and may be way off base. 😄

Bacon wrapped water chestnuts are always a hit at holidays around here. My kids always ask for them. compeateropeator I just wrap a whole water chestnut with a 1/2 strip of bacon and secure with toothpick. Bake in a 400 degree oven until the bacon is crispy. So yummy and easy!!

Id have to look up the exact amounts and how long they go back in the oven with the sauce if anyone is interested

I'm not American and don't watch the Superbowl, but I saw someone making a Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla Ring on Tik Tok. It looks fantastic and so easy.

I figured it was bbq sauce.

Bacon-wrapped Water Chestnuts
2 cans whole water chestnuts 1 lb bacon, cut in half

Wrap each chestnut in half piece of bacon, secure with toothpick. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until bacon is cooked.
Combine sauce ingredients. Place chestnuts in a casserole dish and top with sauce. Put back in oven at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
