I’m a huge outdoor gardener (flowers etc) but never had any inside. Well I’ve lost my mind and now have about 10 new “babies”. Does anyone use a plant app to track your purchases and/or wish lists? Favorite site for plant info? Amazon purchases that changed your plant world?
Thanks in advance!

I have a bunch of African violets which are relatively easy to grow and keep blooming. They is a very wide variety of blooms. I buy them online at specialty retailers or Etsy.

I had a plant app that was decent. It also cost $30+ a year. I used it for one year to get the information, but it wasn't great. You can do a 7 day trial with some of them. I would recommend that you start with that and see if any are what you are looking for. My issue was that I could find the information easily online for free. They also tell you certain things are overwater OR under watering. Clearly... but which one? I'd look each plant up online and see where they like to be. I do a lot of moving in my house. I have a good 40 indoor plants. Nothing makes me happier than when I see my orchids start to rebloom. One lady I really enjoy is PlantswithKrystal www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBzzVjd8GgU Also, make sure your soil is right for each type of plant. Using peat moss and other more specialized soils can really make a difference. Again, Google is your friend.

I just keep a wish list in my notes app on my phone. Then I check them of when I buy the plants. My favorite purchases were plant stakes off of Etsy (just search Plant Stake and so many will come up). I swear by Happy Happy House Plant Fertilizer - also check her instagram because she shares so much knowledge about houseplants there.

I have some house plants, and evidenced by you guys, they should be taken away. 😁
I can't recall killing any plants, but really, I just water them.
I don't know the names of most of them, but they are all common ones. I have plants that trace themselves back to my great grandmother that my grandmother gave me as a girl. After I finished Basic Training, I brought a cutting of that plant with me when I served in the Army. I have a Wandering Jew, a college roommate gave me a cutting of that, came from his grandmother. I also have a Peace Lily who was originally cared for by Bing Crosby.

I am a crazy plant lady- no app but have learned a lot and been collecting for probably 20 years. I have way too many. Seriously, really make sure you love a plant if you buy it. I have plants that have moved thru like 5 states- I don't love them anymore but they are survivors and refuse to die. Anyway, I love my plant babies but they get out of control really quick.

PURCHASES- Perlite so you can overwater I get mine on Amazon and the bigger junky one.
I get the clear pots originally on amazon but later on temu. You can see if the plant is dry or wet easier and see root growth.
Temu is cheaper I got on amazon but switched to temu eventually and same items really. Moisture measuring tool trellises Plant clips for vines yellow sticky traps (for gnats)

Also, the quality of plants sold on Amazon are crap.
