My package has been ready for pick up for a week now. 😑😶😐
Like holy crap.
I ordered from Scrapbook.com and it was picked up next day. Already at my post office and will arrive tomorrow. I ordered Monday.
When I order from ACOT, most of my packages get shipped out same day. Then get scanned at that PO next day with an ETA.
Why is SSS like this?

Normally I would commiserate with you but my last order was placed on Feb 1st and it shipped Feb 3rd, and arriving on Feb 8th.
But this is a rare occurrence. I've waited a long time for shipping from them.
Maybe they are just really busy? If it's been like that over a week now, maybe send them an email.

Hopefully it’s actually on its way but just didn’t get scanned when it was picked up. It’s not common but from time to time USPS messes that part up. I had thought SSS had fixed that problem - every order used to be like that. I’d start thinking “ooh, my package must be almost here” and go to the order and see it hadn’t even left the building yet Probably a big part of why I haven’t bought from them in many years.

That’s weird. I placed an order on Monday and it was picked up by USPS on Tuesday. It’s scheduled to be delivered next Tuesday.

Shipping used to be ridiculously slow. They did get better but I rarely buy from them since they don’t have many sales or a rewards program. I agree with Giantsfan. Try emailing them.

I have had really slow shipping from SSS in the past, but my last couple of kits have arrived in a really timely manner. Maybe the kit shipping slowed down your shipment this past week?

SSS is slow with shipping and that's improved from what it was many, many years ago.
It surprises me that they are so slow. They must not have the needed staff for their shipping department.

I need to be patient was the reply and they are blaming USPS. Supposedly they don't have enough workers.
Yet everywhere else I buy from I chose USPS shipping and get the product shipped out same day or next day with 2 to 3 day shipping time.
Specialty pet meds.
Shirts from Kohl's.
Shirt from JCP.
Scrapbook.com
ACOT.
A video game.
So why do they all seem to have it together and have no issues with USPS but SSS says I need to be patient and it's USPSs fault.
Oh and one of my purchases is from the same state. Go figure. Shipped out next day.
After a week with no pick up maybe it's you. Maybe look to see if the item is still in your business??
I won't be buying from them again. I will just get the paper on Amazon (which is cheaper by A LOT). Was just trying to support a small business.
The longest was 5 days before my package was sent out. 8 days now is crazy

I hope your order ships soon.
I had the worst experience with Pretty Little Studio. My order didn't ship out for 21 days. That is ridiculous! I won't ever order from there again.

That sucks. And isn't Monday a holiday? They can't ship on Monday either.
I was hoping that their shipping has improved. I've been eyeing their inks lately. But I'd rather invest in inks that I can buy at a variety stores. Although scrap.com has slow shipping sometimes. I really like that ACOT has a priority ship option. For only $2 they can ship same day if the criteria is met.

pantsonfire I'm curious, does your SSS order just say that a label was created and no movement? If that's the case, I'd say what you ordered was out of stock and they are holding your order until it comes in...probably thinking it would be in stock in a day or so. I ordered on 2/10/25, my label was printed on 2/10/25 @ 2:55pm and was scanned as accepted by USPS on 2/11/25 @ 8:46pm. If they are saying that USPS did not pick up your order, then are they saying USPS just picked up some boxes and left others? Or are they saying USPS picked up your box and it's now lost in the USPS black hole? I'm not sure they will let you cancel if it's been picked up.

So SSS said that I need to be patient because USPS has it but don't have enough people to scan and check items in. And can take 2 weeks or more for tracking to show up.
That is where I call BS.
I have ordered several items with no issues.
And one item came from the same state and was labeled, picked up same day.

"Your order was shipped and transferred to USPS on Feb 7." according to SSS. Yet USPS doesn't state that. It shows pending pick up still

That’s a ridiculous amount of time to wait. Orders I’ve placed with ACOT have gotten here in less than a week and they’re half the country away. I ordered from Chewy Saturday and FedEx delivered today even though it’s a holiday (not for most people I know though).
Hope they can make it right for you.

have verified with USPS and with our fulfillment team that we did indeed have a pickup on Feb 7 and that pickup was transferred to the Columbus Distribution Center. All of the orders from that day have not been scanned yet by USPS. Because they have not been scanned, USPS will not be able to look it up in their system and will tell you that they don't have it. We have seen this happen at least 4 other times since 2025 began and each time we reach out to our contact who tells us that this is due to weather and staffing. Each time the tracking does begin between 1 to 2 weeks after it's been shipped. We have reached out for an update, however, yesterday was a federal holiday so we are hoping to hear back today.
If nothing has changed by Friday, 2/21, please let us know and we can start looking into a new package. This will allow the full 2 weeks that were informed as possible.
I told them straight out I don't want a new package. I want a refund.
And if they say no, I will contact my bank. Jesus

pantsonfire I am sorry you are dealing with this. I am from Ohio close to the Ohio River. USPS, FedEx, UPS and Amazon have been very slow in the whole state my packages give a delivery date and they keep getting pushed back by days. Our local postman says the whole state are very short staffed, along with weather affecting delivery and many are out with RSV, Flu, Bronchitis or Covid. FedEx told us the same thing when we contacted them over constant delivery delays. Hopefully things will get better. My daughter who used to work as a postal carrier had to work all the time with hardly a day off here in Ohio moved to South Carolina and was going to transfer to another post office was basically told she would never have a day off and would average 10 to 12 hour days finally had enough and got a different job.

I have a package from them from the same day that has not moved from label created with USPS and I received the same response. My item is still in stock so it's not a matter of going out of stock. I think there is definitely an issue with that days shipments but I'm not sure if its really the post office or them.

Still no update on tracking and still no package.
I emailed yesterday asking for a full refund since it has been 2 weeks. The 2 weeks they asked me to wait.
No reply.
I emailed at 9am, 11am their time (?). Nothing.
Looks like I will go Monday to my bank and file. 🙄
I will no longer buy from SSS.

Sad that you had to deal with this crap. Thanks for posting though. Buyer beware.
There are plenty of other sites where I can spend my money: ACOT, SBC, Frantic Stamper (unfortunately going out of business at the end of the year), Amazon, and various companies’ websites.
Hope you get your refund.

I am very sorry that your package is not on it's way yet, it can be difficult to wait when one has shopped elsewhere without issue. I personally don't understand why this incident will stop you from purchasing from SSS in the future. To be clear, I've had my beefs with SSS as well as other companies (paper related and not).
* This is something that happened that is beyond SSS's control. Your package was turned over to USPS, SSS no longer has any control of it, and how and how long it takes to get to you once that happens. There have been weather and other factors that have impacted USPS (and other shippers) in Ohio and the Midwest and east recently.
* Waiting two weeks to see what's what doesn't feel excessive to me.
I hope you get your package and/or your refund, and that some time in the future you decide to try shopping with them again.

I have had issues with them in the past, like waiting 8 business days for my package to be sent out (single stamp/die set back in the fall). So this isn't the first time. But ignoring my email on Friday was enough for me. I have communicated with them during the 2 weeks and expressed that if there was no movement on Friday I would ask for a refund. Friday came, nothing came (mail is delivered early in my area) and no update on tracking. So I emailed that I want my refund. In the morning. No response. That did it. And as of today, still no movement with the tracking number. Still shows waiting for pick up. I also am curious to their reasons when other packages from the same state and recently one from the same area were processed next day, picked up, scanned, tracked, and arrived or will arrive within 3 business days. That is pet meds and some dress shirts DH ordered on Thursday. Oh and they told me they would reach out to their postal rep. Never got a response on that either even after an inquiry. So the fact that there is no response to emails irritated me. Why spend money with a business that won't help it's customers?

They want me to wait another week. 😶 That was the reply. So it went from sorry for the delay. To oh it can take up to 2 weeks. To wait another week.
And I was told that if after 2 weeks I could request a new item. But now it's wait 3 weeks for new package or refund.
They can't even follow their own rules...
"We ask that you please allow a little more time for your package to begin tracking and be delivered." (A week in)
"If nothing has changed by Friday, 2/21, please let us know and we can start looking into a new package. This will allow the full 2 weeks that were informed as possible." (2 weeks in - when I asked for a refund not a new package)
"If we do not see any movement on your package by February 28th, we will reship your order or issue a refund." (Today, 2 weeks and 4 days. So I guess I can't ask for a new package like they stated last week)
Copied straight from the emails.

That is a bit excessive to say the least!! On Simon's end and the USPS for sure.
Not defending Simon in any way....but I almost feel sorry for online retailers these days. Rock and a hard place with a bumbling USPS. I wonder how much of this indifference to our missing packages comes from them just being defeated and weary from their losses. Like I said, not defending them. There should've already been a resolution offered to you.
If (general) you happen to live where your UPSP distribution center is dependalbe, and have a great post office and carrier-that is great.
But so many of us don't. Our local hub is a train wreck, and my local Post office is so bad about losing packages and mail pieces at our home mailbox that we rent a PO in the next town over for packages and mail for our business. We had several packages go missing in a week's time and the postmaster actually told us they were using a substitute carrier and she just disappeared. It sucks to pay USPS more money in rental fees because they are so bad in our town. But we have had zero late or missing issues with the PO box once the mail does leave the local hub.
Can you imagine how much money retailers are losing on a weekly basis? And how many emails and customer service hours it takes to sort out USPS mess?
I have noticed slower shipping times across the board lately, and tracking has been a hot mess.
