And here we are again, I don't know about you but last week just rushed right by so fast. That was a nice pace after the 638 days of January, right? Work was busy, life was busy, the only thing that wasn't busy was my scrapping life. Grrr. I think I'm needing to set some monthly goals for myself to accomplish. Have I said that before because that sounds eerily familiar. It's a three day weekend, so I think I'll knock out household chores today and play with scrappy things tomorrow. And maybe even Monday. We had a good time on our dinner date with friends last night, another couple decided to come as well so it was a fun time. The restaurant had live music, and draft beer We have another dinner obligation this evening that won't be as fun as last night. I call it an obligation rather than a date, it won't be as relaxing as last night but they're people that dh has had a friendship with forever. It probably won't be as bad as I'm anticipating, but it's certainly not as comfortable a feeling as yesterday. So, what's happening in the coming week? What did you get accomplished last week or plan to get finished this coming week? Any fun plans for the evening, or next week? Let's Chat!

I find that adding scrappy time to my calendar AND announcing it to my family helps. I hope you find something that works for you Not a lot of plans this weekend - some housework, some genealogy, hopefully some scrapping and some reading

Last week dragged on forever. I think it's because ds was home sick, we had a ton of rain, it was dark and cold, and that burnt me out.
Ds is finally feeling lots better and was able to go to school all day yesterday. His asthma cough pops up here and there but so much better.
We are celebrating his birthday this weekend with fun activities he asked to do.
My mama bus also gets 4 new tires this weekend. Yay! Hello tax return from state...goodbye tax return lol
I plan to scrapbook today as well as tomorrow. Maybe Monday too. We all have a 3 day weekend.

Glad to hear people are taking some time to play with paper.
I am at my ds’s until Tuesday when I drive back home. I had considered bring a GO bag to scrap a little during down times, but decided against it. Could have used it a bit yesterday while people here were busy with work and school, but lots happening the rest of the weekend, so it prob would not have been worth it.
Off to watch hockey and take photos today…

Saturday: Working today.
Life is good. Currently....no unexpected, no bumps in the road, no curveballs from out of nowhere....knock on wood. I like when life goes along smoothly.
This past week, did some scrapbooking. Slowly, but surely....getting it accomplished. As always....lots of reading.
Wishing everyone a good week.

I've been obsessively watching the weather all week and making myself crazy. We have a winter storm warning starting an hour ago and going until 7 pm tomorrow. Smack dab at 7 pm tomorrow a 24 hour high wind watch begins. DH is supposed to fly out tomorrow at 11 am at which point it ought to be done snowing, but will still be sleeting. And maybe raining. I don't really want him flying in that. I don't really want to be driving him to a train station so he can get to the airport, either. The first part of the trip is business -- a two-day meeting. It's not clear to me how much he can be delayed before it's just not worth going at all. So, it feels a little mean (mostly because the second part of the trip is vacation in HI visiting his brother), but I'm really kind of hoping his flight out is just outright cancelled and the travel evaporates.

Hi everyone!
I've been laying low this past week. Everything is ok, just in a funk, I think. Monday will be 20 years since my daughter passed away and I think I am just feeling that. We were supposed to go out of town this weekend but we ended up canceling and just staying home. It's been nice. We've watched a ton of TV (which we never do), read some, and just been lazy in life. We did have a nice diner out last night for Valentines.
The weather here is nuts again - snow today & tonight then warmer tomorrow. Then single digit lows next week. I am so ready for spring!
Otherwise, things are ok. I am going to get back scrapping tomorrow and most of next week. With the weather being shitty, I wont want to go anywhere so I will just stay home and play!

It is currently sleeting. DH is snow-blowing the driveway. 11 am flight is still listed as on time. National Weather Service is saying limit travel to emergencies only. How does this make any sense?!

I have to pick up my grandson at the airport tomorrow morning. I really hope his flight is not cancelled. They are forecast to get 10" of snow. He has a final hockey practice for the season tomorrow night. I volunteered to help collect gear and serve pizza, so I'll be going either way!
It's going to be subzero pretty much all week, so I'll be staying home as much as I can! I can't wait for spring.

I made it to the train station and back! Well, mostly back, dh drove on the way there. And his flight has departed, less than a half hour delayed. I've eaten breakfast and watched TV since returning home. And I don't think I care to do much else today, either....

mom will be thinking of you this week. Lots of health things going on over here. 84 yo FIL had a brain shunt put in Friday. Surgery successful, but he's just in a tough spot physically and mentally and so it is hard on everyone. My DH is a champ but having to be the adult in the room to make sure things get taken care of and hard decisions made. I am still dealing with some stuff after seeing my OBGYN Wednesday that I think will take awhile and not all related to her "dept." I am very tired of issues that don't have clear answers so working on my own patience and gratitude practice right now. Also doing a liquid diet this weekend + low fiber next week to rule out diverticulitis. I don't think that that is really what is going on, but there are some symptoms that match and this is a good way to treat/rule it out. I am a wimp at liquid fasts, but I survived yesterday and so just need to get through today. I figured it's really a system reset for my body regardless. Trying to stay busy walking, reading, etc to keep distracted from my hunger and headache! I can feel my mental focus is totally off, so trying to take it easy. My 19 yo son had a great day Friday getting approved to move into an apartment option at his university that requires a special application with a good life long friend. It is just a relief to know it is sorted for next year. He also got a solid A on his first exam of the semester so happy son, happy mom. I probably should join one of the zooms to also get motivated to create stuff. Although happy to say I made progress on Feb OLW prompt last week as well as continuing to work on my New Orleans trip album just a little each day. Did a bingo card for that trip based on the OLW Feb Bingo idea and I really think I will use this concept again! This week I have some fun social things on the calendar so looking forward to seeing friends. Finally, I need to get to legit planning our family trip to Italy in May. We never plan early, but I know I need to get on this one.

My bump in the road item is that I offered to send a pea some stamps and I was going to go inside the PO to get the correct postage but I seem to have finally figured it out from their website (rigid envelopes pay parcel prices) and I used stamps and dropped it outside in the box. Well the package got returned to me because of "heightened security, packages thicker the 1/2" WITH POSTAGE STAMPS have to go inside tthe post office." sigh.......

I took a last minute 2 day/one night trip to a town a couple hours from me. I took my dog, and my son. We had a fantastic time.
I am back at work today. No scrapping plans until Thursday, fingers crossed I should have all day Thurs, Friday afternoon and all day Saturday to play.
I have been plugging away at getting everything downloaded from all the Inked sites closing and haven't done much actual scrapbooking. One of the things I want to do is a vison board for OLW Feb prompt.

Our mailboxes have that notice on the outside but the post office guy kind of scoffed at it when I mentioned it. I think it might be because you have to legally declare that there's nothing hazardous inside... but I don't really see how that protects anyone from anything if they're returning it to you. Sigh...

Sending hugs and prayers to those and your family who can use them. I had plans to be so productive this weekend, but ended up being a slug all weekend long. Our dinner last night wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but lord have mercy I would have kicked dh under the table if I would have been able to reach him, lol We have an annual get together for St. Patricks day that we host. He invited them to come, now I'm all the more the merrier type gal, but these people just get on my very last nerve. I'm hoping tomorrow I can get some house chores finished, fingers crossed.

It's -16 F here this morning. I'm going to have to bundle up to make my airport run to pick up my grandson. I also have to go out this evening, boo. I volunteered to help collect hockey gear at the end of season scrimmage and pizza party.
I'm so glad it's mid February, so spring isn't too far off.

Monday: I have a 40% off mystery coupon for Kohl's. I don't need or want anything. Trying to keep in mind the theory of...."all that stuff, use to be money". If I use the coupon buying something "stuff", I am spending money. If I don't use the coupon, I spend no money.
My mind struggles, with the idea of wasting a perfectly good coupon.

I have a coupon from Michael’s that expires soon and I don’t really need anything, but I’m struggling with letting it “go to waste”.

Damn, it's cold this week! I am just NW of Minneapolis. It's currently -18 F. Yesterday it was subzero all day.
I guess that means I need to spend all day in my craft room.

Hello everyone! It's cold here in Texas --- it's a whopping 10 degrees (with a 'feels like' temperature of -13) outside and snow is coming down again. If you know me, you know I hate the cold. DH had to fly to a meeting for the day so I am staying indoors and doing absolutely nothing. I have some scrappy things to do but I am just not motivated to do them. Blah.
On the bright side, the house is clean and laundry is done. So after I host my scrappy zoom this afternoon, I can go to bed and watch movies.

I had cataract surgery last week so still recovering from that. And at this point I don't know if I want to get the other eye done but know I will have too. I still need to finish my December Daily album hoping to do a couple pages soon. My husband has been painting some walls and I am redecorating some of my rooms. We are moving onto the master bedroom soon turning one side of the room into a mini library.
