First I had to explain to my husband why I was sad that 2Peas closed. Then I had to explain what 2Peas was. Then I had to explain the history of 2Peas. Then I had to tell him the funny stories of 2Peas. Then I had to tell him about the trolls. Then I had to announce my sadness on social media. Then I had to connect with groups to make sure I migrated to a new home. Then I had to make funny observations about the migration process. And now I am reading posts again. Nope. No actual work work is getting done and I'll be up until midnight catching up. Because I really don't get time off for "2 Peas Migration".  |

See I thought everyone's husband and best friends and neighbors came and said "can you please ask the peas what they think. They know everything". Joking aside, I am glad I am not the only person whose husband wouldn't know what message boards I participate in let alone ask me to ask for advice on it. |

I am surprised at how sad I am. But I think I read almost every day since July of 2000, and I had the bookmark to NSBR tabbed in my toolbar for easier access. I'll have to figure out how to delete that.
I know most of you have no idea who I am, but I, too, cryptically reference things I have learned over the years to my husband and co-workers. And I have learned a LOT! Recipes to merkins, and everything in between.
I hope this community can keep it going.

I was a bit of a lurker too and I don't think I realized how much I checked-in, laughed, blew coffee out my nose from said laughter, etc. until I suddenly could.not.log.in. Maybe its the kick in the pants I needed to contribute/speak up more? And I second the assholeness of no notice!

I have gotten nothing done this afternoon. This whole thing put me in a tailspin. I wasn't a prolific poster, but I checked in EVERY day. At least we're getting settled in here rather quickly...

Oops. Mine might not get fed. It's 5:00 here and I've been so busy going back and forth between boards to stay in the loop I've done nothing about dinner. Guess I better get off the computer for a while and get that going.

I did manage to get something else done while grieving, then moving forward. Even contemplated just walking away.
Then my hands started shaking uncontrollably and I decided that was likely a stupid idea.

Oh yeah a tailspin all day today... then that depressing moment thinking.. I don't know where I am going to check in anymore, a good reading post, a movie review, an Uncrustable fight, religion fight... I was just shaking... lol.. I guess no matter how many fights we have all participated in, we all agree we are missing our spot to hang out at! lol...

I'm glad to see I am not the only one! I told my DH about 2peas this morning and he just said, "Ok. I'm so sad." I thought he was being sarcastic but then he reminded me of a thread a looooong time ago that apparently spurred me to try some, ahem, new things. He said he would miss that there wouldn't be a place that might do that again. |

I'll join you on the bench of non-productiveness. My brain is in overdrive and I feel overstimulated. I'm just so thankful we have a new home and so soon, too! Then again, I expected nothing less of our group. I've always been more of a lurker but I think after this scare, I'll participate a bit more. Never want to experience this again...

I have had some trouble regrouping and working as well. The pitfalls of working from home.
Even DS' jaw clunked to the ground. And DH? The same. He was shocked. Yowzer.
I will try to make it up tomorrow.

My husband was one of those that would ask me to ask the peas a question. 2Peas has helped through a lot of things over the years. I didn't find out until later in the day that it was gone thank goodness.

My dh and oldest were genuinely sad! Both understand just what "the peas" meant over the years. Dh asked what in the world I was going to do with myself, lol. I've just been wandering around dejectedly.
