On my last flight a guy a row up from me said that to the passenger sitting next to him. Would you do it if someone said that to you and then proceeded to snore?
For me, it would need to be pretty loud, but I think I would wake him up luckily I’ve never had to.

Honestly, I hope I was so lost in a book or podcast that I didn't notice if he was snoring. But if it was loud enough to disturb me, I would probably say something.

Sure. He is being courteous by informing you he might snore and you have his permission to interrupt him.

It would have to be really loud for me to wake him.

That's what noise-cancelling headphones are for—no snorers; no crying babies. Problem solved.

There is zero chance I am purposely touching a stranger.

lol…good point. What if you tried to wake him as a reflex he popped you back.

For me, snoring is like nails on a chalkboard. I would also have my headphones on. Earbuds don't kill the sound enough.

I might wake him up after an hour or two of snoring so I can have a reprieve before he goes back to snoring.

Planes are loud so he must be a buzz saw if he's giving the other person permission to wake him. I'd have zero problems shaking him if he was bothering me, especially after he gave me permission. If he was bothering me and I didn't have permission I'd nudge him or "accidentally" bump him as I was shifting positions.
DH, DD and I were in a hotel once. DH was snoring so I moved over to sleep with DD putting a tiny bit of distance between me and DH. Middle of the night DD and I are awake to DHs snoring. I jump out of bed, push/shake DH and quickly climb back in to bed like I'm asleep. DD is trying nkt to burst out laughing. DH wakes enough to stop snoring.

Depends. My airpods do a decent job of noise canceling, but they're not up to someone snoring like a freight train right next to me. But I also wouldn't like trying to wake a stranger, KWIM? It seems to me that if you know you're a heavy snorer, you should do your best not to fall asleep in public.

I could see myself saying that if I was sitting next to a stranger (or even family member if my snoring was loud), but I don't know if I would actually wake someone up if they were snoring next to me. Unless it was really annoying.

I am terrified of snoring on a plane. But sometimes you just nod off, can't be helped. If I am with someone they would definitely wake me up, as they would have my permission. If I was alone, I guess I would want someone to tap me... but I don't know if I would be brave enough to say something... it would really depend on who was next to me. I would do my best to stay awake, which is really hard.
