Hi everyone! Today is my oldest dd, Emma's, 26th birthday! Where does the time go? She is the teacher that makes me so freaking proud every day! Here she is: I am baking her a boxed confetti cake with canned icing dyed pink because that is what she wants! We are going (with Molly) to a really nice Italian restaurant for dinner tonight ... I will have some sort of seafood pasta! It has warmed up here which has made the roads really wet ... I need to go and wipe off the headlights and my license plate on my Jeep today ... Not complaining about the weather! What weather are you experiencing? Happy birthday to cadoodlebug's ds! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody!

Good evening Our weather has been lovely today. We got up to 12C and it has been sunny as well. I went for my walk after lunch just wearing a heavy sweater, no coat. The temperatures are meant to stay this high for a few more days, but we’re going to get a bit of rain. Most of the snow out there has now melted, so walking is much more pleasant and safer. We went to a different supermarket today. After my visit to the Turkish supermarket on Thursday, I was telling DH how their butcher had lots of different meat to our regular store, including lamb, but I didn’t buy it because he’s away from tomorrow for most of the week. Well, he decided he’d do lamb tonight, so I introduced him to the Turkish shop. Because we were there, we went to the regular German supermarket across the road - it’s the same brand as our normal one, but quite different in set out and products. It was OK, because we didn’t need much. Dinner is braised lamb shanks with crushed potatoes.
Happy birthday to Emma. I hope you all enjoy your dinner out. Good vibes going out to those who need them Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Birthday, Emma. I hope that you have a delicious dinner and a fun night w/your dd's. How is your mom doing? I'm glad that you have a fun thing planned. It's been too stressful for you, lately. I fixed 2 knitting mistakes last night and felt like a super hero. I might actually be getting somewhere. I hope. Today I have voice practice, knitting and rest. I'm a bit tired. Dh is making chicken fried rice for dinner.
sueg , enjoy your evening.
Enjoy a wonderful day, my lovelies.

Happy birthday to the Pea Kids!
Lazy day here! Started off with mimosas! Heading out to dinner and a magic show tonight. I actually organized this event (volunteer recognition for my organization) before I retired at Christmas and tonight I get to attend as a guest. I told my executive director she’ll probably have to hold me down from getting up and helping lol
Sun is shining so I’ll probably go for a walk this afternoon. Temps will be -2C so a lovely day.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Well we’re back at the hospital with my mom. Paramedics brought her in this morning. Same issues so they are going to keep her for a couple of days. I really wish they could figure out what’s going on with her.
Happy birthday to the Pea kids.
No clue what dinner will be tonight. Maybe chicken chili.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for DH, he's 39! How did that happen? Happy Birthday to Emma, leannec ! Tearisci sorry your mom is back in the hospital. Our 8-year old refrigerator stopped running yesterday so DH is headed to get ice so I can save 2 dozen eggs and all the other stuff. I guess we'll be buying a new one. Dinner might be grilled steaks I bought that I hope are okay. Haha, as Aussiemeg pointed out, it is DS's birthday not DH!

hugs tearisci!! happy birthday to peakids!!
it is sort of overcast and not too cold but we are taking a day off to let our muscles rest!!! I have 25 days of skiing in so far.. though a few of those were one run and done days.
I have some chicken in the fridge and left over rice, so will make another stir fry and a salad. I used the greens I wasn't too fond of last night for a salad and found a combo that made them taste good--mushrooms, sliced red onion, bacon bits.. so will repeat.
it is supposed to snow tomorrow so I will think about what to do. pretty boring and laid back around here. sitting in front of the fire and reading most of the day.

DH and I did a grocery run to WalMart this morning. Home now and groceries are put away.
The sun is shining and it -4C. Walking outside is still a challenge because the sidewalks are a mess and you have to walk on the streets. Our new treadmill is great for these kind of days. I will walk on it this afternoon.
Supper will be chicken fajitas.

Thanks everyone. I'm just so frustrated that we can't get any clear answers. She was fine for a couple of days after getting home from rehab on Tuesday and started blanking out again last night. We were supposed to go to dinner but she had an episode in my car, and by the time my sister and I came back with her dinner, she was fine. Then this morning, she couldn't talk again and was very confused. She's going to her neurologist for a full workup in March, but I'd like to be able to keep her out of the hospital until then. The drs and nurses are starting to know her by sight!

Dh and I got out for a bit today- groceries from the Italian market, breakfast out, then a stop at our favorite coney place to pick up chili for coney dogs and chili fries for dinner tomorrow. Came home, dropped that stuff off and went to Lowe's and Menards. We will have to go back to Lowe's at some point because we bought some shelving brackets there that cost $13 for a pkg of 12. Menards had tye same thing for under $8.
For dinner we are grillimg for the first time in a while (it's 30 degrees out). Steaks, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli and maybe cole slaw. Oh, and some good bread from the market.

Happy birthday to Emma! It is an absolutely gorgeous day today and I'm just soaking up the sunshine! Went for a long hike and feel almost human! I'm making homemade ravioli for dinner - we'll see how that goes! My daughter's coming up to help, so if it turns into boiling some linguine, oh well! Take care all!

Happy birthday to our peababies that are clearly not babies any more! We are going into a week of great weather so the windows and doors are wide open and I'm in a spring cleaning mood. All my peeps are out and about so I messaged that I'd make burgers for dinner if someone brought home buns. Three thumbs up replied so I hope at least one of them follows through.

Well 4 hours later we're home. We bought a new French Door with the extra slide-out between the top doors and the freezer. Very limited options if you don't want water/ice on the outside. Delivery on Wednesday so we'll be buying lots of ice between now and then. We have 3 coolers and borrowed 3 more. Of course, everything was put in helter skelter so now I need to rearrange so I can find stuff. Not what I planned for today. We did buy the 6 year warranty for $300. If you never need it, they give you a $150 credit back.

Happy birthday to Emma. She is so beautiful. What weather are you experiencing? It's been hot here. Last night I kept waking up and looking at my clock (which is actually my iPhone in Stand-by mode) and could see that at 3am it was still 28C (82F). Our next electricity bill is going to be astronomical, we've had the air con and fans going almost non stop all summer. I think I'm going to have to take out a second mortgage to pay it! I'm sorry to hear that your mum is back in hospital, Tearisci . I hope they're able to figure out what's wrong soon. Thanks for the birthday wishes for DH, he's 39! A 39yo DH?! Wow, you're quite the cougar! It was too hot to cook, so we got fish & chips. I have eaten out or had take away every single night for the last eight nights! I think I need to get off my bum and cook something tonight (Sunday). DSO wants a curry.

Happy weekend, friends!
DH made us some sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast, and then we went to our local used bookstore and Costco. Came home to a box of scrappy goodies from ACOT.
Had an early dinner of steak, mushrooms, broccoli, and sweet potatoes. Laundry is almost done and the Caps won.
I'm going to try to work on my cross-stitch project a bit tonight too, but it may just be sorting thread. We'll see.
