I'm just perusing Zappos looking for a brown/tan/taupe spring shoe (there are thousands to choose from...yikes!). I never expected this: www.zappos.com/p/womens-alegria-michy-loretta/product/9993813/color/1079514Do you ever run across your name being used to name products? How about your nickname? This is the first time I've seen my nickname used to name anything. I am a big dahlia fan, there is one named with both my first and middle name (neither super common and my middle is spelled differently than most). I love that! I also run across my first name now and again used to name things. What about your birthdate? Do you run across friends/acquaintances/coworkers/and the like with the same one as you? I could count on one hand the number of people I've personally known with my same birthdate. Two months ago I was out to lunch with 3 other women. Two of those three women have the same birthdate as me. That was surprising to al of us! Thanks for helping my while away a dark and very rainy afternoon

How fun! I haven't worn clogs in a long time but I might like those. Not sure if they would work for my feet though.
Birthdate - do you mean the same year as well? When our son was in preschool there were 4 other kids there with his birthdate, some the same year.

I know of three others with the same birthday as me - 01 November.. not the same year - one older and two younger.

No but one of the contestants on the American Traitors series has the same name as me and I don’t come across it that often so it’s funny hearing it said on screen.
Mind you, there was also a lady called Chrishell (I believe it was spelled like that) and isn’t that the name of a toilet paper brand 🤔

I've only known one person with my same birthdate (not year) and it was a friend of my mother's when I was in high school. My name isn't used too much as a product name, but DD's has been used a good bit in the past 15 years or so. I picked a somewhat obscure name on purpose and by the time she was 10 it was in the top 50 girls name! So much for that idea!

To be clear, I'm personally not a fan of the shoes ;D I was just sorting through the options and was surprised to see my name! And yes, all three of us had the same date and year. That is wild about your son's class. What are the odds of something like that i wonder?

My dad's older brother had the same birth month and day as me. Obviously not the same year lol. As a kid I thought he was my uncle because he was born on MY birthday. Kid logic at it's finest. I was well into my teens before it dawned on me that I was born on HIS birthday and that had nothing to do with being my uncle. I miss him. He has a big laugh with a personality that found the humor in life.

I always see my name on dolls from the 80s, lol. And I have a twin, so I share my birthday with him. Although, at one school we went to there were 5 kids in my grade (of a total class of about 88) that had our same birthday. That was weird. Turns out, St Patricks Day that year would have been around the time we all were conceived. Yay for green beer!

Is that a British TP brand? I never ran across my first name until I was about 20 years old. Then it became popular for several years, and then fell by the wayside again. Similar to you hearing your name on TV, it was odd for me to hear my name out in public in my early to mid twenties and have the person saying it directing it to someone other than me. I spent years turning around/stopping what I was doing for nothing

My name, especially the spelling of it, is rare for my gender and age. I don't see my name on anything, ever. That would be pretty fun to see, though. Especially in shoes! I've only known one person to share my birthdate, my SIL who passed away a few years ago. There must be a lot of us though, as it's 9+ months away from NYE...

I never knew you are a twin. Did you enjoy being a twin growing up?

I don't remember anything like that being an option when I was a kid. It's so much easier now. And a big about NYE being 9+mo from your birthdate. And no I wonder if nine months after Valentine's Day or NYE have the biggest bump in births?

I’ve never heard it before either but it sound very American to me so tgat not surprising 😊

I wasn't surprised to see a number of options come up when I put my name + shoes in a search. It's a name everyone knows, but isn't super common. I can currently think of 3 people I know with my birthday (4 if I count Rod Stewart ). One of the nurses at the dermatologist, a friend of DD and DH's cousin. I only recently found out the cousin was born in the same tiny town as my sisters and I. She was born 6 weeks after my youngest sis, so no overlap in the hospital. When we were in high school, a math teacher would do a lesson on the probability of 2 kids in the class of 30ish students having the same birthday and claimed his experience was 100%. It was for the two years I had him, as two of my friends in the class shared a birthday. ETA gar, Chrishell is named for where she was born (Shell gas station) and the man who delivered her (Chris).

I did understand that you were referring to the name of the style of shoe Michy. Fun coincidence.
Chrishell - I knew a woman once who named her daughter this because her husband was Chris and she was Michelle. I've only ever heard it in that one instance.

When I was in the hospital after having my oldest we had shared rooms and my roommate was a cousin of mine. Her daughter was born the day after my son.

My first name is a brand of salad dressing. If my name is used in a book or TV show, it's usually the snob/mean girl/villian... I only met one person with my birthdate (friend of my parents), although I recently found out I share the day (not year) with Kamala

I never knew you are a twin. Did you enjoy being a twin growing up? Did I like being a twin growing up? Not really. It was always 'the twins' are doing this, or that. My twin is a boy and because I was a tomboy growing up, everyone just kinda lumped us together. I was in my 20's before I had a birthday party for just me. Growing up, I always shared my birthday party with my brother but I also have a sister whose birthday is super close in date as well. So shared birthdays were always happening for me. I now love that I have a twin. We get along great and are as different as can be.

We didn't really have the means for those types of gifts, even if they might have been available? I have three necklaces w/ my name on them, so my inner child is happy, lol.

I’ve met a couple people who share my birthday and have had two coworkers with granddaughters who shared it as well.
Mike Rowe shares my birthday and year but I don’t know him 😉.

Since Bill Clinton is no longer as much of a focus in the political arena, I don’t see my name much “in the wild” anymore. 😂
The only person I’ve ever met that shared my birthday is my niece. (Obviously not the same year.) She was about 2 when my husband and I started dating.

I have such a common name that I don't think marketers want to use it.
I don't know anyone with the exact same birthdate but I've known many people born the day before or after me. When I was in elementary school, there were 2 girls in my grade that had the birthdate 2 days after and 4 days after mine. It was a really small school to have us so close together.

I share a birthday with Macklemore, Ann Wilson of Heart, and my 27 year old son's best friend since 2nd grade. We all celebrate Juneteenth on our birthday, which is kind of cool!
My first name has an extra "e" in it, so I never found it in the souvenir shops of my childhood.

Birthday: 3 of us in a class of 17 students shared the same Birthday. In 8th grade, our teacher was also born on that date.
