I just remembered that Kevin is from my DS's town so he was happy that Kevin did well after hurting his shoulder. I was really confused when they kept talking about Kevin's shoulder injury because I never really saw him with an injury but then I saw an interview with Jeff and he said that Kevin actually dislocated his shoulder and they had to stop the challenge and bring in medical to pop it back into place. But that was all cut out of the final editing so we didn't really see the injury or any of the medical response. Now it makes a lot more sense but without seeing any of that I just thought Kevin was kinda whiny over nothing. Glad he's okay and still in the game! OMG same! Why did they cut all of that? It gave him a bad edit.

I was okay with who went home last night. That team is a hot mess. They can all go home. Happy Sai had to play her idol.
They never did show if Star got her idol. Weird.

Sai is beyond-obnoxious. I was a little sad that Kevin was blindsided. My husband kept saying he was playing too hard too fast, and I guess that's true. I just really wish Cedrek would have kept his mouth shut and Sai would have gone home. That would have been awesome. At least her idol was flushed. We love, love, love Mitch. He's adorable... and did awesome with the basketballs! As did Eva. Happy for both of them. I also like Charity. The whole orange team is a go for me. Thomas really did get whopped in the eye. In the coming attractions he has a black eye from getting hit with the pole. Was it just us or was the beginning of this episode REALLY drawn-out with tribe talk before we even saw Jeff and a challenge? I was crocheting and when the green team was talking about who would go I looked up and realized we didn't even know what tribe was at the bottom because we hadn't even done any sort of challenge yet, and it felt like we were at least halfway into the 90 minutes!

I like Mitch, too, and enjoyed seeing more of Charity this week. Also enjoyed seeing Star, but it must have been so hard for her to watch the tribe plan to sabotage her getting the advantage. It's one thing to be an outsider, but thinking you are making friends and seeing them actively work to hurt you instead is brutal.
I think both Kevin and Thomas are sending ruthless vibes that made/make their alliance members' spidey senses tingle and have put targets on their backs.
I'd also wondered why they didn't give Kevin's dislocated shoulder any air time last week, but knowing he would be gone by the second tribal and giving air time to his scheming makes sense now.
It will be interesting to see the alliance shifts if green ends up back at tribal next week. I don't like seeing one tribe decimated early but am not sure how they will win any challenges going forward.

I still don't know any names so I'm reading the replies and wondering which one is Mitch? I looked up the cast and Mitch is from a town about 30 miles from me and still lives there. It's kind of funny that I haven't seen any mention of him competing on the news, but there's a team on TAR from the same town and I have seen several stories about them.
Yes, I like Mitch. I was so happy for him last night. I love it when a contestant proves to themselves that they deserve to be there.
We were surprised that Kevin went home but not disappointed. He was getting cocky and paid the price for it. I wish it had been Sai though. She really annoys me. Don't care much about anyone on that team and it seems like we haven't seen much of the other teams. It's always that way when the focus is on the one team that keeps losing. I can't see them winning much in the future either.
It was very drawn out.

We watched last night and it was weird at the beginning few minutes as The Amazing Race was playing. Somehow the recording/broadcast got screwed up. After a few minutes, it started switched to Survivor with some tribe members talking. So we missed the *last time on Survivor* and the intro but probably not much else.
While Kevin is from DS's town, we weren't that upset that he was sent home although we WERE upset that it wasn't Sai.
I don't remember who it was but someone took a horrible fall during the challenge and I hope she's okay. We were also cheering for Mitch and Eva while they were tossing the balls. Joe might get in trouble because he is seemingly aligned with everyone but gave Eva a promise he would protect her.

Jeff took a tumble during the challenge. I texted the video to my husband the next day and was like "how did we miss this?" I saw it on Reddit.
I was coming in here to ask where the Amazing Race thread was?! Did I miss one?

So, once again, the Green Tribe. lost the immunity challenge.
3 people went on an adventure including Justin from the Green tribe. One girl lost her vote (but lied about it when she returned), one girl got an extra vote and told her tribe the truth. Justin lost his vote but lied so they thought he had a vote.
Mary (the Asian girl) went swimming and acting unbothered when the Green Tribe got back to camp. It drove Sai crazy because it made her think Mary found an idol. Cedric didn't think so. So they get to tribal and Mary does the shot in the dark and is safe! Two votes against Mary which don't count. So they vote again and it's one vote against Justin and one against Sai. It is revealed that Justin lost his vote and Cedric has to decide who to send home. Ultimately Sai convinced Cedric to vote off Justin because he wasn't truthful about losing his vote.
Next week is a reshuffle of the tribes. The Green Tribe is thrilled! Not so much the other two tribes.

I thought Mary was brilliant in her gameplay when she went swimming and was acting cool as a cucumber. It did drive Sai absolutely crazy and she kept questioning Mary about if sheād found an idol or not. Mary didnāt give anything at all away-she played it perfectly! Then at tribal council Mary played her shot in the dark and it worked- it was only the second time thatās ever happened. I was so happy for her.
I donāt know why but Sai has rubbed me wrong since the season started and I really wanted to see her voted out tonight. I was so disappointed when Cedric decided to save her and send his buddy the pizza guy home just because he didnāt tell him heād lost his vote.
I really do not like starting with 3 tribes because it always seems like one tribe ends up really sucking and this season itās been the green tribe. Next episode we get a tribe swap which sucks for the other tribes but will be good news for the green tribe.

It is unfair to the other teams that they get switched up because the Green Tribe sucks, but it also makes the game more interesting and we find out who the players really are. Tribal was awesome! Mary played so smart. Sai is easy to manipulate.

Cedrek really pissed me off and what was an exciting tribal ended up annoying me at the end. lol I do like Mary though!

This leaves 15 players. How will the new teams be formed? Do you think there will be three teams of five? Or will there be two teams of seven and the person sent into isolation gets slotted into the spot of the person being eliminated on the losing team? Or what?

Personally I hope itās 2 teams with one odd person sent to another island and after the losing team loses a player that odd person joins that team. As I mentioned I really dislike the 3 team format. One team always seems to suck and with 3 teams there isnāt that much room to maneuver, make alliances and strategize. I mean you certainly can do that with only 5 members in 3 teams, but itās a lot easier and more fun to watch the gameplay with more members in 2 teams.

Agree that Mary's play last night was awesome. She really got into Sai's head. Cedric is right up there with Sai for me wanting them both to go home. And why did Justin just sit there and never tried to explain or defend himself? Just let Sai throw him under the bus. I wish there wasn't a merge next week so the green team could just slowly disappear. We spend so much time with that team because they are always going to tribal. I feel like I hardly know anyone on the other teams. There are still people I get a glimpse of and think I have never seen that person before.

I thought the challenge at the adventure was interesting. It seems like the other times, the player was given a choice to play or not play. There was no skill at all, just rolling the dice and hoping for the right ones to come up.

You do have a very good point about Pizza guy (I have no idea why on earth I cannot for the life of me remember this guyās name!) had a very good chance to make his case at Tribal Council as to why Cedric should keep him and vote Sai out. Cedric had already voted Sai out more than once since that tribal began, right? There were only 2 people voting and Cedric couldnāt vote for Mary or himself, so that left him voting for Sai or pizza guy. Same scenario with Sai except since no votes came in for Cedric it mustāve been her vote that was cast for pizza guy. Therefore Cedric mustāve been voting for Sai over and over. Pizza guy shouldāve started his plea there and gone further explaining why he didnāt tell Cedric about losing his vote. He had a chance to say something. Anything in his defense. He blew it. At this point Mary is the only person on the green tribe Iām rooting for.

That was a wild tribal. Cedrek ended up voting for each one of his tribe mates: first round Mary, then Sai, then Justin. No question TRUST was the main reason he ended up keeping Sai. Cedrek told Justin that Sai was bringing his name up and Justin still did NOT share he had no vote. And that came back to haunt him. I could not have loved Mary more with the way she got into Sai's head. This is way to early for a tribe shuffle!!! The last couple seasons they didn't have one (there was the mixed up tribe challenge where half went off for a reward but they all went back to their original tribes after IIRC) and the previous season the merge was at episode 6.

I just read on the Facebook Survivor group Iām part of that Justin (pizza guy) did have more to say in his defense other than ādo whatās best for your gameā to Cedric when Sai and Justin were pleading their cases as to why they shouldnāt be the ones voted out-but it was edited out! Edited out and made Justin look like he didnāt try at all! The guy who posted this said he learned about it from a post exit interview.
What in the heck is going on with the editors working for Survivor? First they edit out the medical team coming in to fix Kevinās shoulder at the first challenge, and instead give us 10+ minutes of Sai trying to figure out how to open that idol puzzle. And now this!
I think Survivor needs to hire some new editors. Obviously I know editing needs to happen, but with 90 minute episodes itās important what you leave in and what you cut. With 90 minutes youāve got a lot more options.

Sadly, they still have 3 tribes, I was hoping for 2. The old green tribe all left the green beach ~ Cedrek and Sai went to one tripe, Mary to another one.
The new Green tribe has 3 members from one tribe and two from another. The two pretended they weren't friends when in fact they were as thick as thieves and Kyle had an idol. The tribe was very cocky when they went to the immunity challenge and got to the puzzle quickly but Mary's new tribe (with 1 guy and 4 gals) struggled to get to the puzzle but pulled off a tremendous upset winning immunity and a huge basket of fresh fruit. It was quite amazing and wonderful to see!
So green team goes to Tribal and Thomas, who had a steal-a-vote in his pocket made the big mistake of pronouncing that the two from the other tribe were in jeopardy and one was going home. Kyle played his idol so the 3 votes against him didn't count and Thomas ended up going home.
All in all a great episode!

I was happy for the result too! I liked how the California Girls got played! I do like Jon out of the group the best. Shauhin is sneaky but plays under the radar for now. And if Camilla didnāt help with the puzzle, they wouldāve been way behind!
I still donāt like Sai! But glad her and Mary can get along for the short time they had before the merge.
As for the others, no one really stood out yet so we shall see!

Boo to three tribes but YAY to a plan that worked. Wow! I did really like Thomas the first couple episodes but he seemed to get more paranoid and annoying over the last couple.
They totally played those guys - it was awesome!!
