Republicans aren't holding any more town hall meetings

I like the idea of Democrats holding town halls in red areas. I know Bernie is having some events and Tim Walz posted about it today. I hope others follow.

Cruz and Cornyn have taken this tack for years. Last I heard, they don’t even have staffers answering their phones any longer. They’re not interested in hearing from their constituents.

Well, it's no surprise that they aren't there to represent their constituents. Fucking cowards.

The spin is that these are all paid protestors, not actual constituents, as if no one could possibly be disagreeing with them.

I keep waiting for them to tell the farmers to stop testing for bird flu.

I don't think they care about the MAGAts, either. They just want to stay in favor with Trump and not be targeted by him.

My Rep’s phone town hall last night was terrible. Very clearly only one sided “questions” that were just segueing into word salad campaigning non answers. Most of the internet comments I saw were people complaining they couldn’t even find the number to call in or people unable to even submit questions online because there were too many at the time or people asking too many too fast. The two questions I submitted were not answered. Lots of uninterrupted spin to tell a lot of miss truths imo.

I really hope that Democrats will start hosting them in red areas. Then again they probably wouldn’t believe what they hear and claim it’s all lies. That seems to be what the Rs are saying locally when things are pointed out.
