Anyone watching the new season of Yellowjackets?
I loved season 1 so much. There was this moody/spooky ambience. So much mystery and potential. Season 2 was ok but I didn't feel like it was as good. Especially the adult timeline was a little silly. Now here we are with the much anticipated season 3 and I... kind of hate it. There's still 6 episodes to go but at two years between each season the teens are starting to look so much older than they should be. The sense of mystery and spooky vibes are gone. The adult timeline is boring and is reminding me of Pretty Little Liars. I am going to cringe at what they do to Coach Ben in the next episode, which is fine, I signed up to watch these girls turn into raging cannibals. But I miss the supernatural feeling and sense of unease that season 1 had.

I am really into this show (I have a “there’s no book club?” pin). I actually think Doomcoming in the first season was so bad that nothing else on the show will be as terrible as that for me. I think my main issue with this season is that I don’t think adult Tai makes any sense now. Ok, also I think they are doing teen Natalie dirty. She is my favorite teen (I love Melanie Lynsky so much that I look past how terrible adult Shauna is), and they seem to have demoted her importance.
I think it is setting up right now as “oh there is a non-supernatural element explanation for everything” and some big thing is about to happen to challenge that.

Teen Natalie is my favorite too.
I think Adult Tai could have been a very interesting character, especially if she'd taken office. As it is now she's just bumbling around with Van who doesn't seem to have much purpose.
Lorrie was also pretty interesting, especially by putting the necklace on Callie in ep 3 and now she's gone. It just seems like there's not a lot of rhyme or reason to the story at the moment.
