I know I can just do it from their website, but I have already had to do that a couple of times and you have a limited number of times you can use them. Is there a way to back everything up on my own external hard-drive? My stupid computer is having issues and is locking up daily. My dh and sons all think I need to wipe it and start over.

If you got version 3 it is easy, I think it is tab no 2, the one after "file" there has an option for backup, I am not at my pc right now, but can find it for you tomorrow if nessecary (it is 11,30 pm here)

Would you click on "File" then "Library" and then "Export Library"?

Ok I am not technical inclined at all.
If you "Export Library", are you exporting it to an external hard drive? Or can you copy it onto a memory stick?

I would be exporting to an external hard drive.

Hopefully this isn't too late - but the link to the Studio Calico is really old and the Export Library is SO much easier.
You just need to be running V3 of the software.
File-Library-Export
Export to USB device.
On new Computer - File-Library-Import. You will be asked for your username and password to verify it is your library, and then it will import..
It does not take a huge amount of space to do this on an external USB device.
DON'T forget your FONTS!!!
Just copy your font folder (I am assuming you are PC). Copy FONT folder onto external USB device. On new computer, open FONT folder and select ALL, then right click INSTALL. If the file is already installed on your new once -select Skip All.

donna - make sure you have any files that you have saved in other locations backed up too!
Happy Computing - LOL!
