Have you watched it? It’s the story of a boy who is arrested for murder, and it unfolds over 4 episodes. Each episode is shot in one continuous take, which is incredible.
I was uncertain if I’d want to watch when I first read about it, as the subject is so dark. I’m glad I did though. The performances blew me away, and the circumstances around the murder are very timely.

I’ve watched episode one and intend to get back to it. What I’ve seen was excellent, I just wasn’t mentally there to keep watching it at the time.

I'm on the last episode and binged it this weekend. The acting is amazing and I'll probably finish it tonight.

One of the best series I have seen. I kept wondering how they remembered all their lines without any breaks. Great acting by the whole cast!

Stephen Graham is a favourite actor of mine and he's one of the writers as well as playing the lad's father.

I gather the young actor is being hailed as ‘once in a generation’!

I am loving it. British tv is class, and this is among the best of the best. I am excited to see the future acting career of the boy who plays Jamie.
I also hope I get to see Stephen Graham as Fred West in a biopic, he will blow Dominic West out of the water (even though he was good). Stephen Graham has an undeniable resemblance to Fred West, and I know he will bring out the nuances of West’s psychopathy.

I loved that they seemed like a normal family; no wealthy rich kids or connected parents trying to manipulate the investigation. And no gore. Just so, so good.

I gather the young actor is being hailed as ‘once in a generation’! I was REALLY impressed, especially considering this was his first acting gig ever.

If you like British Drama another excellent show with Stephen Graham is Little Boy Blue and, based on your mention of Fred West, David Tennant in Des as the serial killer Dennis Nilsen was remarkable for his resemblance to the man and his portrayal.

David Tennant as Des was absolutely brilliant! I love true crime, but I’d never heard of this case until I saw this on TV.

I kept wondering how they remembered all their lines without any breaks. I would think it would take a ton of rehearsal for sure! Here is a link to an article on how they filmed it. Variety - How Adolescence was filmed

I am watching, but one of my kids is a dead ringer for the lead, and it is unnerving me.

As soon as I saw Stephen Graham was in it, I put it on my watch list. I loved him in Time, he was just brilliant, and also Line of Duty (although only a handful of episodes), as well as the other shows people have mentioned here.
I finished it yesterday. I had watched the third episode on Sunday night, and just couldn't wait to watch the last one, so I watched it on the train on my way to work. So so good! I love how each episode was shot in one continuous take. Especially the third episode, with Jamie and the psych. OMG, that kid is amazing!

It was not a series that was really “enjoyed” but it was an amazingly well portrayed story line. The acting was superb and really kept you watching. I certainly could not have switched off part way through.
