I am thinking of getting a small handheld sewing machine. I do not have the space (or desire) to have a full-sized machine.
I do have the Lawn Fawn borders (https://www.scrapbook.com/store/lf-lf913.html) and thought about maybe using those as a template. I also considered the Sew Easy Kit (https://www.scrapbook.com/store/wr-60000361.html), but do recognize it has mixed reviews.
I haven't really ever sewed. I know how to cross-stitch, but this be for just Project Life and other scrapbook albums.
Are there any that you would recommend?
Thanks!

I've never seen anyone recommend a handheld sewing machine. They just don't work very well. I'm sure it has come up here before. You could search for older threads about them. You'd be better off getting a 3/4 size machine or hand stitching.

I agree with Elsabelle, I've never heard anything good about the handheld machines. I've heard decent reviews about the Janome Sewmini.

Elsabelle, jediannie Thank you both! I figured that that was the case, but you never know! I'll see what I can do with the resources I have at my disposal and re-assess later on if I need to. I think that I also have a different die set that does have stitching lines, so I could play around with that. ... Maybe I should've kept more of what I cut out to test on. Oh well! It'll be a fun experiment.

Just last night I watched a YTer do a video on stitching on your layouts and said she would not recommend a hand held sewing gadget.

A friend had a handheld sewing machine that she got to use on cards/scrapbooking. It was not good and she got rid of it pretty quickly.
I second the recommendation for the Janome Sew Mini. I'm not sure if they make them new anymore, so you may need to search in the secondhand market. They are lightweight and have a small footprint. I had one that I used in paper crafting for many years. Great little machine.

Thanks, all! I did see that Aldi has a small sewing machine in stores soon, so maybe I'll keep an eye out for that. Is there anything they DON'T have?
