Hi all!! I wanted to share about a fun craft organization camp that is going on this weekend. It started yesterday, but there's still plenty of time to join in. It's free to participate this weekend, just head over to this link to get your free pass and join in on the fun: get your free craft camp passI contributed a lesson to this camp (my lesson is scheduled for tomorrow) on stamp organization, but there are tons of included lessons on craft organization from a whole bunch of crafters. There's also a fun facebook group to chat and ask questions all weekend. I hope to see everyone there!

Thanks, Linda! I've popped in off and on over the last couple of days and enjoyed it. Just watched yours--wow. You are definitely an organized person. Looking forward to your upcoming updated craft room tour!

I've watched bits and pieces here and there. Some of it seemed like the same stuff you hear everywhere, but there were a few good tips.
I'm not sure I agree with six months as the timeframe for completing a project or moving on from it -- I'm pretty sure I took a year or so to complete all the classes from the Crop & Create event I did. But it did remind me that I had completing kits/projects in my organization challenge last month and while I did knock some off, I know there are more lurking. I even saw a die set being advertised somewhere and realized that I already own it, but haven't seen it lately. I know I had a project in mind when I bought it, so it's probably on that project cart somewhere.
I guess I know what I'm doing between now and when I need to leave for my hair appointment.

I definitely don't agree with the six-month timeframe for my general approach. I actually like to let things sit and age on purpose sometimes. This sort of tangentially ties into the Stacy Julian Library of Memories approach to scrapbooking, aspects of which I've incorporated into my system. Since I am not a content creator, it doesn't matter at all to me how old or new my stuff is, including any kind of project. I think a lot of people who present things for consumption on the internet are influenced to a degree, small or large, by the underpinnings of sales and product life cycles. I'm completely not, other than I want to be able to find cool stuff if I feel I have to have it--so for me any influence of any of that is on the purchase side.

Well, I did pull an old project off the cart -- a HA Stamp Along from spring...2023 maybe? I bought one die set for it, but wasn't terribly fond of any of the card projects they did with it. I do have die cuts for three cards. I've decided to proceed the way I did when I decided to use or lose the leftovers from some Paper Pumpkin kits. I am going to mostly ignore the instructions and put these die cuts and other prepared elements onto cards in the most expedient way. If they kind of suck at the end, I'll donate them. Any that are "better than horrible" to go into my card stash. Might be time to watch some of today's videos....

I checked out a few videos while crafting but I did not get any great new ideas (from the ones I checked out at least). Entertaining for background sure, but a bit basic/general. Not a camp I would recommend or pay for. Maybe if someone was brand new to organizing? Example: multiple classes emphasized as a *top tip* - "don't forget to declutter into Sell, Donate, Trash, and Keep piles!" ... like.. yes.
I still need to check out yours eve, if I can before it expires. it is actually specific and an original idea, so likely one of the most useful classes.
maybe we should start a thread to share our top organizing tip for a specific scrapbook supply - especially if it is unique or original. we may help each other!

It seemed geared more toward Cricut/vinyl/sublimation crafters. I skipped around to see a few things. I was interested in the table options. Nothing seemed particularly groundbreaking to anyone who has had a room for a while and explored different organization options. I do think Linda's stamp organization is a great option for a lot if people.
