Hi everyone! Another nice day here ... I'm going to take my chances and change over to my Spring/Summer bag ... from black to light pink! Pink is my fav colour ... I have pink everything ... except decor in my house ... I draw the line at that because I'm not ten years old anymore! When I was that age I had an entire French Provincial bedroom suite complete with a canopy bed and pink linens ... my walls were pink! Now it's just my clothing, phone, water bottle, etc. What is your fav colour? The event I went to last night was a lot of fun but crowded ... it was like a trade show where you could sample products from different food and drink vendors ... last time we were there the food was lacking but this time it was really good! I had a pulled pork slider, pizza and a pretzel ... yum! It was held downtown so we took Ubers each way ... both drivers were complete speed demons! At least they knew where they were going and got us everywhere quickly! I'm going to hit the grocery store today and then I'm going to my mum's place ... the dining room is serving roast beef with Yorkshire pudding! Yum! This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I love me a good "Shark Coochie Board"! What is the weather like in your neck of the woods? How is everyone and their family feeling? What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

Good evening, After a few days of warmth and glorious sunshine, today was much cooler and overcast. It rained early on - before I was out of bed - but it has felt all day like it was barely holding back! We’ve had a fairly normal Sunday: Church - this week we had a priest. It seems there was a communications error last week and our visitor got the time wrong. Even this week’s priest was joking about it at the start of the Mass. After lunch, I went for a walk as it wasn’t raining and the forecast wasn’t promising and I’ve done some knitting and watched Netflix since.
DH is preparing dinner - we’re having marinated chicken (smoky BBQ) and a salad.
I wish everyone a lovely, peaceful Sunday, hopefully with better weather than we’re having!

Hi everyone! Another nice day here ... I'm going to take my chances and change over to my Spring/Summer bag ... from black to light pink! A spring/summer bag? Just one. I change my purse almost every time I go out. Your purse always fits, so I like to match my bag to my outfit. I'm sort of a purse-a-holic. Though, most of my purses have been from my sister who gets great deals at the outlets. My kids, too.
I love purple and blue. Bright pinks are cute, too.
I might be going to a really good grocery store in a neighboring town w/ods. He's going to let me know. If not, I'll just quietly knit and maybe pull out a video game. I'm doing chores, too.
Dinner will be chicken picatta and rice pilaf w/veggie.
Sounds like it's been a relaxing day, sueg . Enjoy your evening.
One more thing: jeremysgirl, those photos that you posted were great. I loved the camping dishtowel and potholder.
Enjoy your day, everyone. May it be a restorative, fun day and for AussieMeg (yoo hoo) may it be the start of a good work week.

We just got back from a long walk around the Town Center lakes. It is beautiful outside. I'm a pink gal but like soft, light pinks. And, as DH knows, I'm not a purse-ho. I use one almost year round. I save DH a lot of money because I just don't spend much on purses. I'm making a Tri-Tip roast for dinner.

Hi ladies, happy Sunday. It's 1pm and I'm still in my pajamas and have virtually done nothing productive the whole morning. I keep threatening a shower. But ...I'm not moving. I was going to quilt today but my brain doesn't feel sharp. So I'm certain my points won't be either and then my attitude will get pissy. Better to crochet. So that's on my agenda. Jeremy is just getting ready to head out to the grocery store. I've made him a list. So...I've been following Jenn Eats Goood for a while on Instagram. I have never done her meals. But today I thought I might try. She basically tries to utilize ingredients in an efficient way so as to minimize the cost of your grocery bill. I pulled up on of her YouTube videos and I'm going with this one: m.youtube.com/watch?v=uL2QbNOmk6USo these are the dinners I'm going to make this week. I'm kind of excited about it. If I can minimize my grocery bills all the better. I might make the pasta tonight because mmm...pasta. ETA: my favorite color switches as fast as my Fiesta. 😂

cadoodlebug , I'm a total purse-ho! That you don't buy purses just means that there are more purses for me. I love tri-tip. Enjoy your dinner. jeremysgirl, those dinners look good. I'm sorry that you're having a not-great day. I hope that you will be able to relax and feel good while you're crocheting.

I had a pulled pork slider, pizza and a pretzel ... yum! I love events like this and just purged the drink lanyard we were given a the last food & wine drink event I attended. I'm not sure why I hung onto it, but it was great for wondering around with both hands free to grab food and take photos. Looking around my living room, there is no question my favorite color is any shade of aqua from super pale to a deeper teal. I do love pink for clothing/accessories but have never used it in decorating. She basically tries to utilize ingredients in an efficient way so as to minimize the cost of your grocery bill. I took a look and recognized the TJ products in her cart immediately. I'm going to poke around her Insta for ideas. I'm like you, scrapmaven , and love my collection of colorful purses. For many, many years I was a one large shoulder purse at a time owner but in the last decade or so I have pared down what I carry. Almost all are small cross-body purses in a rainbow of color/patterns. FWIW, the bag that gets the most compliments is a very pale pink. We are having another gorgeous day in paradise and I'm heading to the beach for wave therapy and a walk. Dinner will be chili.

Yes bc2ca Jenn does the majority of her shopping at TJ. Mine is way over on the East edge of East Lansing. And I'm on the west edge of Lansing. So it takes me about a half hour or slightly more to get over there. So I'm just having Jeremy pick up at our regular store. I'm going to compare the prices though. Because depending on if it's cheaper, it might be worth the trip there. I don't normally concern myself with food money. It's been kind of a point of pride we can afford groceries without being concerned after so many years of penny pinching. But the term recession keeps getting floated around and so I keep thinking that maybe I ought to reign it in.

But the term recession keeps getting floated around and so I keep thinking that maybe I ought to reign it in. I tend to buy what I want without thinking too much about prices, but this last few of years have become more and more conscious of eliminating waste and making my grocery money go further. When we first moved to the US, I thought TJs was an expensive specialty store. It was only after getting a flyer in the mail that I learned all their dairy is hormone free (coming from Canada where hormones aren't allowed in dairy farming this was important to me), and so much less expensive than all the main stream grocery stores that I became a convert. They don't have sales, but all their every day prices on produce/rice/pasta/beans, etc., are comparable to grocery sale places here. When we moved to San Diego I told DH that I was only looking at homes within a 5 mile radius of TJs.

I went there once but it wasn't a serious shopping trip. Just more of a browse kind of thing. Jenn does get good staples there. So it may be worth my while to get there more often. It's an interesting store for sure. Eliminating food waste a huge thing for me too.

DH and I went on a bit of a road trip this afternoon. DH wanted to pick up some seltzers he likes and you can only buy them at a specific brewery. We also stopped for lunch at a favourite restaurant and then at the grocery store on the way home.
There is a couple of chicken breasts in the fridge we need to eat so we will have chicken wraps for supper.
It’s a cool dreary day but I will get outside and take Walker for a walk in a bit, then I will read.

What is on your menu tonight? Not sure as I went to the grocery store and bought Oreo ice-cream bars and hashbrown potatoes. And cheesies & Coke. Yes, I admit that I have a horrible diet. I wish everyone a lovely, peaceful Sunday, hopefully with better weather than we’re having! What is the weather like in mid to late April. I am <this close> to booking a trip to Munich after Easter. A spring/summer bag? Just one. I change my purse almost every time I go out. I just use my navy blue bag all year round. And it was a Christmas gift. I'm not a purse-ho. I use one almost year round. Same here I was going to quilt today but my brain doesn't feel sharp. So I'm certain my points won't be either and then my attitude will get pissy. Better to crochet. So that's on my agenda. I'm sorry that your brain isn't functioning well today. Don't get pissy when you know it isn't your fault. We are having another gorgeous day in paradise and I'm heading to the beach for wave therapy and a walk. I so miss Sol Cal. I used to go to Costa Mesa at least 4xyear when my cousin lived there. I also miss Laguna beach. It’s a cool dreary day but I will get outside and take Walker for a walk walk in a bit, then I will read. It is a beautiful day in my part of the province. Just came back from being out.

Happy Sunday! It's been a lazy day for me so far. Slept until 9:30, then drank coffee and didi all my morning puzzles/games until noon. Had a shower, conditioning my hair and a face mask while I check in here. After I dry my hair I plan to do something creative, either needlepoint or sewing. Yesterday I went to return a dress I bought last at my favorite shop. Came home with a different dress, a spring cardigan, a t-shirt, a cute wrap skirt and a new purse. That ended up being a very expensive exchange! The purse is my birthday present to myself since DH isn't able to shop now. I didn't get the little scarf as I have plenty of those myself. It does have a shoulder strap but I won't use that as I tend to be a handbag girl. This is SO lightweight, roomy and will be great for the summer. I tend to carry the same purse most of the time, though I do have a nice collection of them. I've always bought more classic bags, rarely get rid of them and have some that go back to the late 70's and 80's. Dinner is going to be tenderloin tips and salad.

Luckily, I'm not into shopping, because I've raided the Kipling outlet nearby and wear a lot of their crossbody purses, as well as my LeSportSacs. I'm guessing you have similar bags, bc2ca.
Will trade booty for Coach!

I so miss Sol Cal. I used to go to Costa Mesa at least 4xyear when my cousin lived there. I also miss Laguna beach. South Coast Plaza was always a very nice mall. Though I've not been there in years. We used to go to Crystal Court and gawk at the price tags.
**GypsyGirl**, good for your for pampering yourself a bit. There's nothing wrong w/making a deposit instead of a return. I love the purse.

Happy weekend, or Monday, or.... something. It's 5:50am, and my alarm is about to go off in 5 minutes, so I can get up and catch a train into work. But I've been awake since about 3:45am, when I woke up feeling sick. I feel perfectly okay now, although my tummy making the loudest rumbling noises. I feel well enough now to go into the office, but I have a fear of getting sick on the train, so I think I'll just stay here in bed, and work from home. Leanne I saw your post on FB, and tagged you in another one along similar lines:

Oooops, my colleague just sent me a text to say that she's decided to work from home today as well, and I could have the "good seat". That means there won;t be anyone from my team in today. Not good. I have two minutes to decide whether to go in or not.

I love your purse **GypsyGirl**! It's so cute! I tend to buy my purses second hand and carry them until I'm sick of it and sell it back to the resale and buy another. However Christmas 2023 Jeremy bought me one from Portland Leather Goods and I've been carrying that one since.

A spring/summer bag? Just one. I change my purse almost every time I go out. I rotate seasonally ... all of my bags are a bit pricey so I definitely get my money's worth out of them! Of course, I don't own a Birkin or anything like that! ETA: my favorite color switches as fast as my Fiesta. 😂 I love my Fiesta but I just have three colours (by choice) ... cobalt, a turquoise and a yellow that I can no longer remember the name of ... it's almost impossible to get here so I don't add to my collection anymore but I have place settings for 12 so I'm good! I don't think that pink Fiesta would go with my kitchen decor even though I'm sure that it is super cute! FWIW, the bag that gets the most compliments is a very pale pink. My bag that I just changed to is a pale pink! I love it! Here it is:

He had borrowed one of mine.
I asked why, because I figured he knew I didn't really need it back since I do have two.
He said, "I bought one for $10 by way of girl math." I know I had the most curious look on my face. I couldn't imagine any vacuum costing $10 would be worth a hoot.
He said he had a gift card and after applying the gift card, he only had to pay the $10. I'm still a little confused. He said women in genral will tell their husbands, they only paid X for something and not take into account the gift card amount so they don't get the stink eye from their husband for spending too much money. He said that was girl math.
I just had to shake my head.

Dude I slept until 7 am this morning. When I do that I feel like I can't get going at all. My whole day has just been like a big waste of time. When I get up early like that, I accomplish so much before noon. By the time scrapmaven posts the thread on weekdays I feel like I've already worked most of the day. I pack my work into my mornings because I'm so fresh. But my grandmother I swear didn't even get creative (she was a painter) until 10pm. Some people just really get into things in the evening. Like a second wind. By 7 pm I'm done. My brain is toast.
