it is my birthday today and I got the best unexpected gift today!!!! I've said there is a world cup ski race here this week.. last night we went out to the health food store (we know the owner) and had ethiopian food.. it was so good.. all sourced locally and a reasonable portion size. we stayed for a long while, waiting to go out side to the street party.. saw sugar ray for 15 min.. then hung around for bare naked ladies. after 5 min of them, it was cold so we decided to go home (heard it wasn't that great).. walked over to the bus.. waited for 15 min.. and packed on that bus so we were happy we left early. this morning at 6:45 am, our friends texted us and said they were not going to use their vip tickets to the races today did we want them (these tickets are super super expensive). I woke up dh about 7:15.. he wasn't too thrilled.. he wanted to go ski biking.. but it was my birthday so we went. and I walked the dog while he got ready.. out the door at 8:15 am.. went over and had a private car ride to site.. walked in and no one there and got a table next to the window.. in a massive tent at foot of race course. fab food and drinks all day.. warm too!! we watched the Super G race.. and on the woman's side, Lindsey Vonn placed second!!! surprised the hell out of everyone and her too!!! she is 40 yrs old and trying to make a comeback after not racing for 5-6 yrs. one of the greats!!! we got home about 2 pm.. another private car taking us. and I got a selfie with the CEO of the resort.. and told him how much we admired the job they were doing.
and tonight we are going out to dinner.. so it really has been a great day.

my fav color is green, blue is second.. and I almost never use a purse or handbag..

Happy Birthday ntsf Hi all! I’m late to the party today it’s been a busy day and I’m on my phone. I’m not a purse ho. I find one that works and carry it forever!! I have a Brahmin tote for winter and an orange Kate spade for summer. I get more compliments on the orange bucket purse. When i traveled for a living I had a Brahmin that I carried for over 15 years. It had a built in wallet and was black and brown. Large enough for necessities and small enough to fit into my laptop back ( same brand and colors) it lt was a great purse. I had my grandson overnight. He’s growing up and is a great young man. I took him to the local park this morning and then we all met at another park for a walk after lunch. The dog and I are both tired. I have to be at the office for a team building training and event the next two days. Ugh. I get peopled out at these events. Dinner tonite will be a pork tenderloin , grains and some roasted veggies. Dil and I shared a protein bowl at a restaurant Last week and I’m going to try to duplicate it with the leftovers. Hi all, I have no idea what we're having for dinner, possibly something that involves some of the rechauffe we have from several other meals. That way we can start fresh with new dinners tomorrow. I went out to dinner with a couple of friends last night and we had a very enjoyable evening. One of them was celebrating her birthday and it was a lot of fun. So my dinner might be the 1/2 portion I have left from last night.
My favorite color is deep teal and I love shades in that family - basically most greens and blues. I don't care for pastel blues, but I like almost any shade of green, teal, or turquoise. I also like deep fuschia/hot pink.
I change purses about every 1-2 months. I have quite a few I rotate among. I just changed to a new one that is deep teal green and I really love it. While not exactly a purse ho, I do have a sort of weakness for bags of all sorts...purses, totes, handbags. I love a good crossbody for traveling (I have several) and have recently been toying with the idea of adding another Portland Leather bag to the one I already have. I have the mini crossbody zippered tote (I think that's what it's called) in navy ("deep ocean" LOL), but now I'm thinking I want the larger "Lola" crossbody..hmmm...and its on sale. I love Portland Leather bags. Yeah, I may have a problem. :-)

Happy Sunday!
My sisters and I got our hair done today. Our stylist comes in on Sundays for us and we bring mimosas and snacks and make a day of it. After that, I stopped by and saw my mom for a bit. She told my one sister this morning that she knows she might be there long-term but to me she kept saying she wasn't staying for 30 days. I think my dad mentioned the 30 day thing last night because I don't think I did. That's how long she has to be there before medicaid will approve a transfer to the long term wing. Regardless, we are going to talk with her this week and tell her the plan. Once she is in long-term care, we'll be able to take her out for things. She likes playing bingo on Wednesday nights at our Tex Mex place and we can have her over. I'm just dreading the convo and hope my older sister will take the lead on it.
We're celebrating my BILs birthday tonight so I'll be going over to my sisters. Hopefully, my dad will feel well enough to come.

Happy Birthday ntsf. Sounds like you had a great birthday. Last night all the girls were here for dinner. Dd3 left late morning. Dinner tonight is roast, potatoes,carrots ,broccoli & cauliflower. Started planting seeds today. Only 2 dahlia tubers were awake so I didn’t get to plant the 25 I bought so far. P I love purses. I change mine probably twice a week. I currently have the Loewe puzzle bag on my wish list but it’s too much. Quince has a really nice dupe for $159. I’ll just get that one. My favorite color is robin egg blue but I currently also love baby blue. That may be my color for the summer this year. Last year it was white. **GypsyGirl** sounds like a good shopping trip. Hope you’re feeling better AussieMegOur thrifting was an absolute bust. |
