Good Morning.
I feel better today, but not great. So, I think I'll do my voice lesson via Zoom. Dh and ods did takeout last night. So, dh will have beans frijoles tonight.
What are you up to today?
What's on your menu?
Tearisci, how is your dad today? Are you still testing negative? I hope that your dad is feeling better.
How is everyone doing today?
Wishing everyone a happy, fulfilling week!

Hope you get to feeling better soon scrapmaven! My dad sounds really good today. He's not running a fever and we're just waiting for the doctor to come in and do rounds. My brother is on dad duty because I've got mom duty and don't want to pass potential ick to her. She did see my dad on Friday night but so far has no symptoms of anything. I hope she doesn't get it because she'd be on total lockdown in her facility which wouldn't be great. I've got a bit of a scratchy throat so I'm going to test today. I didn't sleep well last night and am feeing a bit rundown because of it. Crazy dreams all night and I woke up in a pool of sweat! Ugh. Dinner tonight will probably be leftover spaghetti and meatballs from last night. Hope you all have a great day!

It's not raining yet but it is cold and windy so I'm skipping AquaFit. I have so much to do before Thursday when I leave for my crop. I have a chiropractic appointment this morning too. Dinner is up-in-air for now. I'll check back later.

cadoodlebug, that meme made me LOL. For some reason that is really funny. You'll get everything done and then you'll have fun at your crop. Have a good chiro appt today.

Happy Monday dinner friends! scrapmaven I'm sorry you aren't feeling great. I hope you can rest and feel re-energized soon! Tearisci I'm so sorry that your dad is in the hospital, You very much deserve to feel run down, you've dealt with so much stress and been around illness to much lately. Sending big hugs for you, your parents and your siblings. I'm glad they help with parent duty! Don't be afraid to tell them when you need a day off. As long as your parents are safe and their needs are being met, they will understand if you need a day to regenerate. I had a busy weekend, but it was good, Saturday we went to my grandsons Double header, they won both games, GS hit a triple and made a couple of great plays on 3rd base. The dog loves to be around all the people and it was a gorgeous day! Yesterday DH went to the ranch, I cleaned ( and cleaned and cleaned) then went to a couple of quilt stores I hadn't been to. He will be gone for a few days, so I'm going to use the time to clean a few drawers and one of the pantries that are long overdue. I also need to finish an embroidery project I have started for a small business that I side gig with sometimes. Dinner? I have some grilled chicken and veggies, so I'll make a power bowl. I also have a bit of arugula salad I brought home from the post-ball game lunch, if it's still good. I'm thinking about trying a 4 hour intermittent fasting window for the next couple of weeks. I'd like to loose a few lbs before vacation. Wishing everyone an awesome day ahead and start to your week!

Most of the time it's just my middle sister and me because we are the closest and both have more flexible schedules. I did have a nice day at home yesterday. I took mom lunch then just sat on the couch and binged some tv. My cleaners had come the day before so there was nothing to do other than some laundry and I took advantage of a quiet day.

Good evening all, I missed the thread yesterday due to timing issues here, but I’m back today! We did our clock change over the weekend - I had no problem Saturday night, but didn’t sleep well last night. Hopefully tonight will be better. Today was my cleaner day, so I spent the morning in my craft room watching craft and travel YouTube videos. This afternoon I have been in the city to meet up with a random group of people. I belong to an organisation called Internations, which started here to provide social events for people from all over living here, and home’s now got groups worldwide. Today was the Australia - New Zealand Friendship group, and I was the only Aussie there! Most of the others had some connection - had a partner from Australia or had lived there at some point. We met for coffee and cake at a lovely cafe ans I am now on my way home on the train. I went on a bit early and also went to the food market and a yarn store before heading to the cafe. Dinner tonight will be white asparagus - the season is just starting - with potatoes and hollandaise sauce. It is classic German spring food and I love it. DH is out with his Women in Technology team - he is the lead instructor - so I get to eat it all myself! Not that I will be able to, as I ate cherry cheesecake earlier!

Happy Monday all. DH is home all week post-eye surgery and a bit grumpy -understandable since he has to be face down most of the time and it's not very comfortable. DD18 went back to school today after spring break followed by several days of being sick.
Dinner will be kielbasa and potatoes and sauteed cabbage...and strawberries. We've had an abundance lately...our farm box is giving us two overflowing baskets each week at the moment and a friend went strawberry picking and dropped off two huge bags. Good thing we all love them
prayers for all who need them

hutchfan, thank you. Enjoy today. Linda, I wish your dh healing and comfort. Poor guy. Glad that your dd is feeling better and back at school. Are you doing OK? sueg, your daily activities sometimes sound like a really nice story from a traveler. You live there and it's probably just a day ending in Y, but to me it sounds so interesting and fun. When you write you create the atmosphere for us and it's so inviting. Enjoy tonight.

Good morning, I have a rare day off (comp time from working yesterday), and am spending it working in my craft room, organizing so DH can put in my new desk and shelving unit.
I think dinner will be some sort of chicken, possibly something in the Instant Pot.
Also have to go out later to pick up a few groceries and may include a stop for a pedicure - I'm way overdue! A few weeks ago when I had time it was gray and rainy and cold which was not really conducive to a pedicure, so I skipped it and told myself I'd get it when it warmed up.

Good afternoon! I loved the meme cadoodlebug! I wouldn't want to be face down all the time either Linda. It would make me crabby too. I loved when you would post pics on Facebook of your box. Silly me admires a good produce haul. sueg it's almost asparagus time here too. I'll have to pull out some of my best recipes. During my divorce I lived for a few months with my mom. My stepdad is a huge gardener. I was mowing the lawn and I ran completely over his asparagus patch not realizing. I was in big trouble. 😂 Tearisci not to alarm you but when I had COVID it started as a scratchy throat too. Take care of yourself. I am not feeling well. I can't quite put my finger on why. But I'm tired. My whole body feels rundown. I called in sick to work this morning around 6:30. I felt guilty and went to check my emails at 9. I responded to everything I needed to. And then I laid down around ten thinking I'd read. I didn't read one word. And I just woke up (two hours later). I still feel tired. My head feels cloudy. I am just not having a good day. I am supposed to make beef and lentil lettuce wraps for dinner. We'll see.

Hey all Good thoughts to everybody that is not feeling well.
Harper‘s left ear is kind of yucky so we’re off to the vet this afternoon. Always seems to be her left ear. I also want to have them check her hips. She hasn’t been quite comfortable jumping up on the couch lately.
Dinner will be spaghetti and meatballs. My sister-in-law has extra sauce and meatballs that I will pick up up later.

jeremysgirl , I'm sorry to hear that you're not having a good day. I was really zoned and sleep on Friday/Saturday. I am not just a bit achey and congested. Wonder if you caught a little something? Either way, I hope that you feel much better, quickly.
christine58, wishing Harper a good visit to the vet today.

It would be so nice to see the sun. It’s been many days of rain, clouds and general dreariness. Kinda puts you in a dull and dreary mood.
I’ve done laundry and cleaned the bathroom. I’m loving the new couch cover that I bought. The dog hair doesn’t stick as much and is easily removed with a lint brush. A definite win!
I may have gotten conned into joining a committee this morning. There is a major scholarship award event for youth that I used to chair when I was working. I was chatting with my former coworker this morning and he asked me to join the committee. Then he told me that I had to apply by submitting an application. I said no, he asked me to join, I wasn’t seeking out the opportunity. Told him he could put my name forward to the committee but I wasn’t going to submit an application. We will see what happens.
Supper will be grilled chicken and baked potatoes. Loving the air fryer.

so it snowed about 1 inch overnight and this morning. not a big deal.. went to airport and picked up dh. he is unpacking and then sleeping. he was up at 3 am to get to the airport in seattle. he had a great weekend with visits with his aunt, working on more ideas to get his mom's house sold (on the market since july). and his college buddy really appreciated seeing him.. and dh got to see other old friends--and did the after party family bar crawl.
dinner is probably frozen baked salmon, aspargus and toast with a sumo orange for dessert.
hugs to linda and all those who feel off or dealing with family that feels off.
I need to get motivated to do something. mopped floor and cleaned bathroom before I went to airport.

sueg, your daily activities sometimes sound like a really nice story from a traveler. You live there and it's probably just a day ending in Y, but to me it sounds so interesting and fun. When you write you create the atmosphere for us and it's so inviting Today's activity was probably not much different to activities others here talk about - I know we have some one (is it cadoodlebug?) who goes to a regular newcomers meeting, and another who has a regular 'alphabet' dinner with friends. Munich has a large population of 'short term' immigrants from other countries who live here, and many of them end up staying for longer than they expected (me!), so there are a lot of social groups aimed at them, as it can be difficult to make friends when you don't speak the language, or don't stay in one city/country for long. My knitting group is the same - mainly English speakers, many ESL speakers - who share a love for a craft and a need for friendship in a strange land.

Thanks scrapmaven - I'm not much of a napper but did end up taking one Saturday to kick a headache jeremysgirl - I'm SO behind on posting photos (including the farm box ones)...adding that to the to-do list. I snap the photo every week and send to the family group chat in the (usually vain) hopes that someone will offer menu suggestions. Hope you feel better soon

expat social groups are so important.. I really appreciated being part of the American Women's club when I lived in Hong Kong.. someone to be your friend who speaks your language, helps you navigate the local customs and answer those "where can I get xyz?" questions.

DH is home all week post-eye surgery and a bit grumpy -understandable since he has to be face down most of the time and it's not very comfortable. Ugh, this was me a few years ago. I hope he has a good pillow. I may have gotten conned into joining a committee this morning. LOL, I think you are definitely on the committee. working on more ideas to get his mom's house sold For some reason I thought it had sold quickly ages ago. Sorry it is still sitting. We woke up to gray, cold rain which was a surprise. I'm waiting for DH to help put together my new desk/table top so I can finalize my office set up. I'm so excited to have almost 18 feet of table top to spread out on. Also a little scared that I will just cover it with stuff and essentially keep just a 12" square spot clear, but really, really hoping my plan works so that between projects everything gets put away. DH is shopping the things I've pulled out and have ready to donate which made me laugh hard yesterday. He won't tell me what he is using them for so I'm suspecting an art project of some sort for the garden. I have a midday yoga class and a dinner time Reiki session, so will leave DH in charge of dinner.

Good Morning, Good Morning!! I have a lot on my agenda today. I am leaving Thursday, and I am feeling the crunch. Somehow, I hurt my neck and its super uncomfortable. It not making it easy to get stuff done. Boo!!!! austnscrapaddict I bet your grandson was thrilled with his triple!! That's so cool!!! We spent many, many hours at the soccer field and basketball gym when my kids were growing up! That was some good times! (Except if games or practices overlapped with another kid or right at dinner time!) hutchfan your dinner sounds really yummy!!! I don't know what an Amish noodle is but, it sounds comforting! Linda how long does your dh have to lay face down? Days? What kind of surgery was it? scrappinwithoutpeas when you are finished organizing your craft room you can come and do mine, ok? I get a pretty good handle on mine and then start a project, and it all goes to you know where in a handbasket!! Have fun and maybe you will find some hidden treasures!
