Good afternoon ladies! Just a Monday here. But it is payday, which I forgot all about. AND I am the one responsible for payroll! Ooops. So that is done and I am now waiting on check signers. Our coffee maker went kapooey and I have to venture out to get a new one. We have a Kuerig and then we have a regular pot. I do the pot and set the timer so when I walk in, coffee is ready to pour. I have an espresso maker at home. While I have used the Kuerig before and I used it this morning, I just don't like the taste. The cups are the same brand of coffee as what I use in the maker but it just tasted awful. So I'll head out to do that shortly. Dinner tonight will most likely be a meatloaf sandwich with something on the side. I was craving meatloaf yesterday and made one. It was so good. I also made Sunday Roast crispy potatoes. They were showing up on my feed on Tiktok and I HAD to try them. I think my first attempt was decent. But they were a process. I ate them all and there are no leftovers. So who knows what I will put along side my sandwich. I feel better today, but not great. So, I think I'll do my voice lesson via Zoom. Dh and ods did takeout last night. So, dh will have beans frijoles tonight Glad you are feeling better. My dad sounds really good today Yay!! But do take care of you. I have so much to do before Thursday when I leave for my crop And it will get done. Have fun at your crop. I love the meme! When the kids were younger, there was always talk of "flinging poo". We did not have the antiseptic childhood home. Our talk could always devolve. I'm going to use the time to clean a few drawers and one of the pantries that are long overdue I have been slowly doing this. It is just so nice to get the junk out. And I did this big time a few years ago. It is amazing how quickly things build back up. Dinner tonight will be white asparagus - the season is just starting While I love asparagus, I went overboard with it last week. I realized after a potty break, I needed to cut myself off. Your weekend sounded lovely. Dinner will be kielbasa and potatoes and sauteed cabbage My SIL got me hooked on a sausage, 2 cans of green beans, and potatoes one pot meal years ago. On those nights when I was tired, that would be my fallback. DH loved it! I then started to add a chopped onion and that sent it up quite a few notches. I would love it with cabbage. And a can of Rotel. I am sorry DH is grumpy. I would be too if facedown most of the time. Ohhhh, sorry you are not feeling well. Just blah? I hope you can rest this afternoon.

I am back after a fabulous trip to the PNW and visit with my Bestie. We had High Tea at the Queen Mary Tea House, Dinner at Salty's in west Seattle, and may have visited a few wineries for wine tastings. All in all a great Getaway with much needed Girl Friend time!!! Sadly I brought home a horrible cold as a souvenir. I am on the mend, definitely feeling better.
Dinner will be baked halibut, with roasted fingerling potatoes and green beans. Trying to replicate my meal from Salty's

Forgot to tell you of the cool thing one of my sisters did. So many of the residents at my mom's facility love to color so she organized a donation of coloring books and markers for them and put it on our town's FB page. We got so many donated from the community which was great!
My mom loves to color and then hand out the pages to residents to put on their walls. Now more people can color and share pictures with each other.

Well, Harper has an ear infection again and we decided to take her off the Apoquel because it obviously isn’t working because she is still chewing her feet etc. He did check her back left leg and she’s probably got some arthritis so we’re gonna start over-the-counter Cosequin

Hellooooo! I'm sorry that I can't quote everyone today ... it's been a long day and it's only 5:30 pm! I had to be at an imaging place for an x-ray and ultrasound on my left foot ... I've had pain there for months ... if it's not one thing, it's another with me. Then I waited almost 90 minutes to have bloodwork at the lab to see if there is anything else going on in my body because I've been so ill lately ... I actually made an appointment to see my doctor on Thursday because I have a feeling that I now have a hernia Enough about my stupid health issues! I got some groceries, returned some items to Lululemon and then met my girlfriend for lunch at a fav restaurant ... yum! I had planned to make butter chicken and rice for dinner but I don't know if I have the energy so it might have to wait until tomorrow ... no biggie ... I'll scrounge something else up! Oh, I've been texting with a new guy who is really great ... he works out of town for 14 days and then comes home for 14 ... kind of the best of both worlds for me! He gets back on Wednesday so I am hoping to meet him in person soon after ... he seems to be relatively normal which is a bonus! He meets my three requirements: has a job (engineer), has a place of his own (even lives alone!), and has a vehicle (has two) ... you wouldn't believe how many men in their 40's and 50's cannot produce those results. I'll keep you posted! Here is the meme I put on Facebook today ... my online dating life in a nutshell:

Ok, leannec, we need to have a meeting. I believe I brought up my dearly departed Bulgie the other day. Now, you are not allowed to have a hernia. What makes you think that you have one? I will cross everything I have that you don't have one. Do you have a lump in your tummy that is awkward looking and even grows? Since you had abdmonial surgery it's possible that it's from the incisions, but who wants that? I'm truly bummed for you and hoping that it's nothing at all. I'm sorry that your foot is still a problem. My first fracture was an alvusion fracture on my foot. It took a few months for it to show up on an xray. Then they could finally treat it. So, did you just wake up and think, "gee, I wish I had Scrapmaven's list o' yucky stuff"? I do hope that you get answers and quickly. My thoughts go out to you. Please let us know what is happening. Nice that you found a decent guy who seems like a good one. I have single friends and there's a lot of toads out there. Yet, there are also great men and you deserve to find one.

I hope it’s not a hernia leannec. Went with dd2 to the OB. She’s got 2 weeks left but is nowhere near being ready. Then we went to Whole Foods & a thrift store before she went back to work. I went to the studio. Dinner was veggie nachos & grilled cheese. Just using up stuff in the fridge.

I feel like SW from Alien ... I have had a hysterectomy so I'm definitely not pregnant but I have this pointy thing sticking out beside my belly button ... does that sound like a hernia to you scrapmaven? If it is a hernia what happens? Can it be removed? I don't want it! Halp!

Um, well, leannec, SHINY OBJECT. HOnestly, it sounds like it could be, but it could also be a myriad of other things. My hernia was a round ball, but now that it's removed I have sort of a sideways rounded pyramid in my abdomen. Remember I had a baseball, so yours will be different. Is it painful or itchy? If it is a hernia they'll have to measure it w/a CT scan and go from there. If it's not bothersome or in an area that could cause problems and they're not worried about strangulation, you just might have a new friend. However, if it's in danger of strangulation they'll remove it before that happens. It could be emergent or nothing at all. I'm so sorry to confuse you, but I'm going off of what I was told. I noticed mine growing over time. I kept wondering if I had a lump in my abdomen or if it was just my imagination. HTH, but I doubt it will, cause I am clear as mud. I'm anxious to hear what your doctor thinks. ((((HUGS)))).
