I am loving it already. I don't have much moved in. My son and a friend of his are renting a UHaul to get my stuff from my old house. But yesterday, the new furniture I bought for the living room was delivered, and I love it. I can't wait to get the rest of my things for this room, but here it is so far:    The vintage end tables I bought last week look so good with everything else. I am kind of obsessed with them. LOL   My son will be bringing my new bedroom furniture, but my new mattress was delivered yesterday, so I am officially living here. LOL  I treated myself to one of my favorite whiskeys yesterday and had a nightcap before I went to bed. For months, I have dreamed about and envisioned crawling into my new bed on my first night in my new house. I have been sleeping so bad lately, and last night, I did sleep quite well. LOL  I know it's going to take me a while to get settled and unpacked mostly because I'm really downsizing. But I am looking forward to it. I met one of my neighbors this morning--a gal around my age, maybe a bit older, who is also divorced and living alone. She said it's a great neighborhood to live in. Also, my daughter, who lives exactly 4 minutes away, came over tonight with my grandson and brought me dinner. My first two days in my new home have been wonderful and I wanted to share it with you all.  |

I can just hear the relief in your "voice!" This! I know we aren't neighbors in the literal sense. but reading about your moving forward and nesting is one of those neighborly things that gives me hope. Does that make sense? I'm so happy for you and am ignoring my chair envy. |

I am not sure why your post affected me quite as it did (actually a little embarrassing š) but it literally (used correctly š) brought me to tears. Might be the stress of everything else, but it just makes me so happy to hear you and see this post.
You have fought long and hard through many injustices and to see the joy and light of this post just fills my heart. I am so glad you have had your first sleep in your new digs.
