Apparently that's what is causing my side pain that I have been dealing with since December. Will find out more Thursday with PCP followup.
Anyone have any experience with it? About all I have found is that it's usually asymptomatic and can be treated with weight loss and diet.

DH has Cirrhosis caused by FLD, definitely something you want to get on top of and I’d recommend seeing a specialist because they deal with this day in and out and will be more familiar with the nuances of testing and treatment. His never did cause pain. There is a new pill to treat it, Rezdiffra that’s been out about a year. DH hasn’t had follow-up imaging yet so we’re not sure how well it’s working. Also, IIRC, his blood testing did not match the extent of his fibrosis at all, those results were fairly low but his fibroscans show him at a Level 4.
I hope your appt goes and please let me know if you have any questions, I’ll be happy to run them by DH.

Yes, I dealt with it with my mom. She knew she had a fatty liver, but it progressed a bunch without her knowing it and it ended up causing her to have cirrhosis of the liver. By the time she (we) knew her fatty liver have progressed to cirrhosis, it was too late to treat. Some of her symptoms that she had we thought were just 'old age' and her drs thought they were symptoms of other things (like, dementia that they told us that just came with age). Please, please take having a fatty liver serious. While having a fatty liver itself is not a death sentence, it can lead to death if not taken seriously.

It is something that I manage. Never drank alcohol. I cut out pasta completely for a few years, which dropped the blood test numbers significantly. My doctors, also, are cognizant of how any meds prescribed are metabolized. Basically, prescribing one’s filtered through my kidneys.
When I added pasta to my die at, it was sparingly. Same with breads, though not a fan.
Been diabetic for 15 years, I guess. Gluten free for 2.5 years. Add in Gastroparesis and my diet is a problem.
Of the pain I deal with, it has never been from my liver.
My friend also has Fatty Liver, but her’s is swollen. Kind of protrudes. She does have pain from it.
