Hi everyone! After a dinner time downfall of snow last night it is a bright and sunny day today here! I have a load of sheets and towels in the laundry and that is the extent of my chores for the day! I am two weeks behind on Survivor so I'll be watching that ... This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I liked the "Little People" toys when I was a kid but I was much more into Barbie! Did you ever find the missing hearing aid Tearisci? How are you feeling these days scrappintoee? I did what I always seem to do and bought myself a birthday gift for my dd's to give me. . My birthday is on the 25th so I doubt that they have already bought something ... It is a Pandora tiara ring ... the Rapunzel ... it has pink stones in it. If they have already gotten me something, no biggie ... birthday gift to myself! I will be having rechauffe Butter Chicken with rice and garlic naan for dinner ... easy peasy and so yummy! What are your plans today? What is on your menu? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

I went grocery shopping with ds, have laundry in the dryer, am simmering a chicken to make something, and am going to bake cookies using a brownie mix (from a recipe I found online). Dinner is marinated grilled steak tips, asparagus and roasted baby potatoes. leannec I’m a firm believer in buying myself a birthday present!

Today was a bit different to other Sundays. Our Mass took longer than usual because it’s Palm Sunday, so palm procession and really long Passion gospel. Then we had a quick meeting after to go through the child protection requirements we have to implement for everyone working with children. It’s nothing too onerous - an online course and application for a background check, both of which I’ve done before but need to update. After lunch I spent a couple of hours getting ready for the coming week. I am one of two leaders of a small school vacation program. It’s 8 kids and 4 days, so not hard. Tomorrow is craft day - decorations, egg dying and making invitations for the parents to a party on Thursday. I had things to prep for that and also printed off some extra activities - banners, coloring pages etc. We are also planning a museum visit and a movie. There will also be plenty of time for play in a locaa as L park if y t he weather holds.
Diner tonight is chicken on the grill and either salad or vegetables.

leannec and KelleeM , you should absolutely be able to buy yourself a birthday present. It's your special day and all about you. Birthdays are a great reason to spoil yourselves. I like the meme. I, too liked the little people toys, but I was far more interested in my dolls and Barbies. I hope the cookies are delicious, KelleeM .
We must have posted at the same time, sueg. Those children are very lucky to be in your care. I hope you have a fun week w/the kids. I might bake oatmeal chococolate chip cookies in order to try out my new oven. I'm waiting o see if ods is gonna be here for dinner. Depending upon that I'll make a plan. The day will consist of knitting and maybe some time at my happy planner. The other day I wanted to order a Smashbook and found out that they stopped production in 2022. Man, am I bummed about that. Enjoy a restorative, relaxing and fun day, my lovelies.

It's crazy hearing about your snow, leannec as it's going to be 93 here today! We've gone right past spring and headed into summer! Pool time is just around the corner. No luck on the hearing aid It must have gotten lost in the move. Her new ones that she's getting on Tuesday have a 2 year warranty so if she loses them, they will replace them. It just sucks to have to pay for the missing one especially after she lost and found them the first time. I'm not doing much today but stuff around the house. I need to clean out my fridge before I pick up my grocery order in a few hours. Dinner tonight will be hamburger steak and I'll have my dad over for dinner. It's one of his favorite meals so he'll be happy. Hope you all have a good day!

DH is off with my brother on the first ATV excursion of the season. He’s been itching to get out in a ride but no one wanted to go in the cold. Isn’t that why they invented cold weather gear?
It’s sunny and relatively mild today which is nice for a change. Hoping it stays dry for a few days to get the backyard dried up.
I’m doing some laundry and then going for a walk.
Supper will be rechauffe steak and sweet potato fries.

Hi leannec I love the little people. The airplane was my absolute favorite. I am totally *shocked* you would pick out a pink ring. 😂 My ex husband made me shop for my own presents and I hated that. I prefer a surprise. But I'm easy to please too. All the cookies KelleeM and scrapmaven sounds delicious. I'm not going to say much but I've had somethings go on lately that have been difficult. At a time when grief is very difficult. It's just all a mess. But today I am painting Esther's bedroom. I'm giving it a total makeover. Jeremy's middle daughter is coming home from college for the summer and she wants to stay with us. So I thought I would completely redecorate Esther room. The timing is odd but I needed to get this done today. I got the first coat done and am taking a break. It's a pretty green color. I think she will like it. I'm making chicken with a lemon dill creamy potato, asparagus and peas. If it's good, I drop the recipe.

jeremysgirl I'm sorry to hear that things have been rough when you're already dealing with grief. Hugs to you that things will go better. My sister called this morning and told me that dad was really disoriented and didn't know where he was. He thought he was in a room in South Dallas and she kept trying to convince him he was in his apartment. My brother was on the way over there to pick him up for church so he finally got through to him and dad realized he was at home. He had had a very vivid dream and wasn't fully awake. I worry about him being on his own but we check in on him and one of us sees him at least daily. He's going to come over to my house for dinner but I talked to him briefly and he was joking about his dream. Dealing with elderly parents is really hard.

We just got back from a hike. The last part of it is uphill and almost does me in every time! We don't do that hike in the summer because it is too hot. Dinner will be Chinese Chicken Salad. Trader Joe's has been out of the dry roasted slivered almonds for months so I have to toast my own. First world problem! jeremysgirl sending big hugs your way. leannec , I loved the garage! I bought DS a big one so I could play with it with him! But I loved my Barbie too.

Another day that I have no idea what will be for dinner. DH and I considered going out for breakfast this morning, but just had some at home instead with things I got when I went out for groceries. He made eggs, potatoes & onions, bacon, and some toast.
I found another cat dress when we went out yesterday. This one is a bit more colorful than my other one, but I'll absolutely still wear it for work events and it has pockets. I'll have to find a picture online.
I may do some prep for my Project Life album in a bit.
Happy Sunday, all.

leannec ....You may never see this, but thank you for asking. I hope your painful foot and other issues improve asap! I'm feeling better because of not having terrible headaches for several days. Unfortunately, my other pain issues are worse than usual today. jeremysgirl....Many (( hugs )) And, I LOVE that meme! Brings back happy memories when my baby brother had that Little People garage; we played it it a lot! ETA....I also LOVED my Barbie and Dawn dolls! All the clothes, the shoes, the houses, camper, airplane, etc. Also loved baby dolls and stuffed animals.
