www.zillow.com/homedetails/920-Wallwood-Dr-Akron-OH-44321/35335507_zpid/Designed by a Frank Lloyd Wright student. 1962. It's a perfect example and I love the way they've kept it period proper. I don't get the dry "moat" outside with the little bridge, but it's about to become an actual moat if I move in. Custom tanks with goldfish! The only thing I want to change is the sealed brick inside the shower. It needs green tile. I think it's not quite my style (I prefer blank walls that I can add art to, don't really want to do that with these walls) but I do really like it.

I would have to completely redo the kitchen. I love the angles and all the light.

Gah. I love Frank Lloyd Wrights designs. I agree, the shower needs to be green. And yes to the moat with fish!
There is a home here that FLW designed here in town and I hate that they have literally ruined the MCM design.

I like a lot of it, but there is simply too much brick for my taste. Also, in Ohio, I would want an actual garage rather than a carport.

Hmmm I almost love it. But it feels a bit “convention center” to me. Maybe it’s me…

I love all the wood, brick and widows. You would have such great light to do your crafts. I kind of like the contrast of the red brick in the shower. It’s, oddly, in such contrast with the gorgeous brick that is in the bathroom. Like it’s intentional. Just my thoughts.

I am usually not a fan of MCM, but I really like this house. Love all the windows. Love the brick. I really like the little nook areas. Perfect for a big comfy chair and ottoman, for reading.
I don't like the built-in couch, it doesn't not look comfortable for lounging.

I love it, and I think it could look a lot better with regard to staging.

CLassic MCM ala Frank Lloyd Wright is a little too stark for me. That house deserves to be furnished in true MCM style and I just wouldn't feel cozy in it.
I agree about the master bath - green tile would be stunning. I agree about the built-in couch too. But I love that animal print rug in front of it. The kitchen doesn't really 'move' me but I could live with it.
The deal breaker though is the laundry area. That's a no go for me.

Oh, I love it so much, TFS! 💜
I generally don't like timber and brick inside, but the exception to that 'rule' is MCM. I could happily live in that house. I agree with you on the shower though.

Wow, I really love it!!
I'd move in tomorrow if it weren't already sold (and if I wouldn't have to live under the current administration 😕).
The only work I'd do to the property is in the basement/laundry area. And I'd want to put my stamp on the landscaping. 😊

I could like this place. I love the sunken/built-in living room. I heard those are making a comeback. The master shower is nice and big, but the toilet is in a weird place. I would have to redo the laundry room because I don't like front-loaders. The kitchen is kind of meh, but I could live with it until I fixed it up somehow.

How many people live there to need that huge lounge?

Wow! I hit the 2nd photo and that was my reaction.
The owners of the house have done a fantastic job of keeping the house true to its roots. I love that. And that enclosed porch makes me so happy.
I completely agree about the brick shower, though. The red brick seems out of place to me.

I love some of it but the brick is not to my taste at all. My first thought on seeing the living room was I don't know enough people to own that sofa 😂

I really like it but I'd lose about half the brick.

There are a lot of things I like about it, and I love MCM, but I prefer wood-heavy MCM to brick-heavy MCM. The "west coast MCM" with more natural light, connection to nature, etc. is more my vibe.

Have to disagree, this is an ugly impractical house, poorly designed from a functional standpoint and it looks like there might even be some structural issues. That house is giving e such col nd unwelcome feelings like it really doesn’t want people to live or be in that space.

I hope the photo has distorted the sofa. It looks like it is 40 ft. long.
This house doesn't appeal to me at all.

I expected to see James Bond appear! I think it looks great but I couldn't live there, I grew up in the 60s and not much of the designs from then appeal to me now. I really do not like that shower room and the kitchen needs updating. The dry moat will have been to stop the surrounding inclines of land encroaching on the house, no?

I like Wright's style, so I 'get' the built in banquette, etc. I think it's a bit TOO much brick, but if there was artwork or a contrast I'd be okay with it. I think the brick in the shower and the backsplash in the kitchen is wrong, in that it doesn't match... so they should have gone for some contrast. I think it blends in a bit too much with all of the autumn exterior, lol... but I'd love to see what it looks like in the spring/summer.
eta: and how do you dust / clean all that exposed brick?!? our long-haired dogs would cause all of it to be one big huge hair-catcher. lol.
