Clinique Happy is still around 28 years later! I find it too strong for me now. Try spraying it in the air, chest high, and walk through it. Do it more than once for a tiny bit more. This works for me.

Clinique Happy is still around 28 years later! I find it too strong for me now. I've neither worn nor sampled it, only seen it on display. Per the Clinique website, there is an entire Happy collection, including the original, Happy Heart, Happy in Paradise, etc. Perhaps the Body Spritz is lighter than the Eau de Parfum. Ulta/Sephora/Target, including Ulta in Target/department stores allow you to sample various options. Hope you find the ideal scent for you!

I used to always wear Donna Karan Cashmere Mist. I loved it so much but when I had cancer, we weren't allowed to wear scents to the cancer center because some chemos make a person very sensitive to smell. The chemo drugs I received didn't do that but I never wanted to make anyone else miserable so I gave up wearing perfume completely. That was 2009 and I haven't worn any since then. Sometimes I wish I had a little something for when I want a nice scent but it's not worth it to me. I have the deodorant and it's so good! The scent is still popular and is often sold out. It’s my favorite scent ever!

I remember thinking a woman at the grocery store had on a nice *clean* fragrance. She told me it was Perry Ellis so I bought some. It made me smell like I had just showered with a strong soap. I gave it away on FB Buy Nothing. This is something my one friend used to always find vexing--she worked with the public and she'd say that she often would smell wonderful fragrances on other people, but then not like them on herself.

I have found the older I get, the more sensitive to scents I get (headache, runny nose). I can handle a lightly scented body/hand lotion but wearing a full out perfume is too much now. Years ago I loved Chanel No. 5 - probably because it was my mother's favorite and it reminded me of her. I can't even handle heavily scented candles much anymore.

I prefer a lighter scent and love several of the Marc Jacobs Daisy varieties. I bought a few of the rollerballs to decide which one I liked best and settled on Eau so Fresh.

I love my Jennifer Aniston roller ball perfume dh bought me a few years ago. I’ve almost used it up. It’s a sweet, light musk scent. It’s not over-bearing at all. For whatever reason, it doesn’t have the name of the perfume on it, just Jennifer Aniston.

I love Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune, and have been wearing it for years. I get compliments on it all of the time. It is a citrusy scent, specifically grapefruit.

I love Malin and Goetz strawberry. It doesn't smell like strawberries but it's light and pretty, I frequently get asked what perfume I'm wearing.

I am enjoying Salt & Stone's Saffron & Cedar right now. I got the four sample kit from them. I also like Saffron and Cedar. I prefer more masculine scents that don't smell like perfume. I also have a sampler from Penhaligon I bought my husband. They smell wonderful, and I use them too.

I have worn Dolce & Gabbana "Light Blue" for years ... it is a citrusy floral that I love! Me too! It's the perfect balance - not too sweet, not too flowery, and just the right amount of "tart" without being sour. Another D&G Light Blue fan here!

D&G Light Blue is on sale at WM online right now. The 3.3 oz is $42.50. Yesterday I was online putting in a pick up order and clicked over to see some of the sale items. Light Blue was one of them ($40 yesterday) and I've been wanting to get some- so I did. I'm excited that it's a great price!
I'm wearing Clinique Happy today. I love a nice clean, citrusy fragrance that's not overpowering.

My go-to is Happy Heart by Clinique. It's not as heavy at Happy. I can't wear that one. I have also LOVED Perry Ellis' America but they stopped making it. I got some at one of those places that sells dupes but it really wasn't the same.

When I wear perfume, which isn't often, it's either Burberry Brit or Imaginary Authors - Memoirs of a Trespasser. Imaginary authors has sample sets, the scents are very unique and different.

This is what I recommend often because it is light, fresh, and clean. be sure to try what you like and let it sit for a few hours. There have been since I looked on others that just didn’t smell nice on me. Nicer department stores will sometimes use their tester bottle to spritz some in a little vial for you to take home and try.

While I am thinking of it, Dossier. I have just discovered this brand. Is it really a brand or a dupe brand? Anywho, I found Armani My Way. I liked it for an every now and then where. But not what I would want to spend on a regular use perfume. I found the Dossier version at Walmart and grabbed it. Pretty darn close. I also like some of Jo Malone's scent but again, cost. I found Woody Sage by Dossier. I grabbed something out of the closet the other day and this light scent caught my attention. It was that perfume. So I wore it yesterday. It smells really nice and light.

Speaking of fragrance... when is too much...?? One of South Jersey’s best bakeries is asking customers who wear strong perfume or cologne to avoid the main line and stick to the drive-thru. Century Bakery in Bridgeton made the unusual request on Facebook earlier this month as several of their cashiers suffer from asthma, and the scents some customers were wearing triggered an attack. We kindly ask that if you wear strong perfumes or colognes, please utilize our drive-thru service. Several cashiers in our bakery suffer from asthma, and this time of year can be particularly challenging for them due to the high pollen count. The addition of strong fragrances can make it even more difficult for them to breathe, as their airways are already irritated,” the post read. “Please note that these fragrances tend to linger in the building even after you leave, which can lead to..... www.nj.com/food/2025/04/smelly-customers-stay-out-nj-bakery-urges-some-patrons-to-use-drive-thru.html

I love Le Labo Santal 33, but Le Labo is a little pricey. So I tried out some Dossier dupes and I highly recommend checking them out. Much more affordable and I find the fragrances to be long lasting but light. Just be careful and don’t let them sign you up for a subscription. 🙄 My favorites are Woody Sandalwood, Citrus Tea, and Citrus Matcha.
Jo Malone fragrances are also terrific.

The poor kid is already being plagued by seasonal allergies and all the girls (and some boys) at school who keep reapplying cologne sprays at school mean she has been coming home with a headache almost daily. It’s brutal. I told her she should complain to the teachers in the classes with the worst offenders so they can make an announcement to the class or send a PSA email to parents of all the kids in those classes, but she doesn’t want to be “that kid” ugh.
