This just went on the market today and I think it's lovely. It's more traditional than my typical style preference, but I like it. I know a lot of peas will hate it because it's basically all white inside, but IMO, it's just a clean slate that is ready to be customized to the taste of the buyer. The architecture is lovely, the view gorgeous, the outdoor space beautiful, great neighborhood, original hardwoods on the main floors, and much of the historic character is maintained. The closet being open to the bathroom in the primary suite would have to change, though. I hate that. www.redfin.com/OR/Portland/2663-NW-Westover-Rd-97210/home/26515229

I like it a lot. Yes, a lot of white but with judicious use of art and colored accessories. .

I like it. I would put a porch on the front.

I like it. I would put a porch on the front. I’d never use a front porch with such expansive views from the back

I don't hate it but it's devoid of anything I find interesting.

The thing that always gives me pause in homes where they paint every surface white (or any other one color throughout, be it gray, beige, or chartreuse)---the walls, the ceiling, the fireplace surrounds, the bannister, the newel post, all of the trim--is the idea that you've taken what is supposed to be key decorative elements and camouflaged them. If I have a house with all of those things still present, I want them to be more visible. (Now, I'm not talking the red, white, & blue bathroom from that other house recently), but some sort of greater contrast than 2 shades of white.

I love all the white. It looks so clean and open. Gorgeous house!

I just noticed it's from 1922! There is almost nothing at all left of whatever its original charm might have been. What a shame.
The all white is fine in a modern home you're going to personalize anyway, but this feels like a crime has been committed.

I like it! Especially the covered patio in the back.

I like white walls. Overall, it's a nice house.
Personally speaking, I do not like the built-ins or the pie shaped (not sure what those are called) windows in one of the bedrooms.

That's lovely I love the black window frames and doors with the white. I would add some big colourful rugs, artwork etc and could happily live in it

I don't hate it but it's devoid of anything I find interesting. I agree (as usual). It's a bland house and I don't think that's anything to do with the walls being white.

That's lovely. Put some actual doors in on the main level and add a bit of colour back in and I could happily live there.

I like this one a lot. I also like that it’s not in the middle of nowhere like some of the others we have seen.I agree about putting doors on that closet. Looks good like that when it’s empty, not so much when it’s full.

For 2 million dollars, I expect larger bedrooms than those. Also the listing says 4 bedrooms, but I only saw 3 on the floor plan. It was a boring house, with several things I didnt care for - basically no yard, deck looming over top of the neighbors, those weird windows, having to go through the bathroom to access the closet and so on

Disagree that there isn't much of the original charm left - the moldings and trim look mostly original, as do most of the wood floors on the two main floors (obviously not in the attic or basement but those wouldn't have been living spaces originally. The walls look like they're still lath & plaster. I like that they have period appropriate light switches too - I just have a thing for the button style ones. Yeah, it would be better if the trims hadn't all been painted because they were probably originally lovely local fir, but in a house over 100 years old, that was likely done decades ago and is very very hard to restore.

Bedrooms just weren't that big in 1922, and they haven't made additions or significantly modified the floor plan, so it is what it is. lol I think the yard is huge for the location!

I love it! That deck and the landscaping are amazing. I love the kitchen. I love all the windows.
Absolutely open to individual decorating taste.

I love it also. My DD and SIL are house shopping but they live on the east coast. Plus the price is way more than they want to spend. LOL.

I like this one, too. I’d add a lot of color, but the basic design is good and I like the urban location.

But I can't tell because it's all just white on white on white. It might as well have been built last year.
