I was nervous to go to bed last night so relieved it went liberal. my mom always voted liberal (voted for the OG Trudeau!) but since she has been with her current partner she has gotten more and more conservative. unfortunately, I think its all about "the immigrants" for her, I have tried to explain it's not as simple as saying no immigration, healthcare, childcare, logistics, IT, so many industries rely heavily on the skills new Canadians bring. I love my mom but comments like "I don't understand why they dress like that? If they are coming here, they should dress like us". Lots of "them" do, some choose not to, how does that affect you in ANY way?!?!
