I found a groovy house in my hometown. I honestly think that basement would have been a blast in it's day. link

I kinda LOVE it.... It appears to be very well maintained. Minor stuff that I would do, but overall.. That basement is GROOVY.. I can see Greg Brady down there with his friends.

I wish they'd left it as a time capsule, the upstairs says numerous boring updates paired with underground after hours bar in the basement. The basement is the only thing I like about this.
$10 admission bring your own cup Grilled breakfast available from 04-06, additional $10 everybody gotta get out by 0700

Not bad at all! One floor great for me! Too much beige though.

Overall the house itself, has so much potential and possibility.
Needs some aesthetics updating. Getting rid of the wood paneling and light colored carpet would be first on my list. I like all the cabinet space in the kitchen. The basement is a great space, needs some updating though.

I hate, hate the kitchen and the bedroom windows seem weird, I don’t care for the wood paneling in the basement but it’s a big space that has potential. I painted the wood paneles in my basement white and it looks so much better.

Ahhh... The seventies...
I think I LIVED in that house LOL. At least that same floor plan, the swivel dining area chairs, some of the same colours. We build a large family room with a bar in our basement, but never really used it before we moved. I kinda chuckled at the way the rooms look so huge in the photos. Rooms that size would not fit inside a house that size...

The basement is fun and there are some fun original elements on the main floor, but for the most part they've just "blah"ed the first floor to death for me personally. They still have the period cabinets, which is great, but they chose flooring and countertops in all the same shades. That kitchen could be a lot of fun with some color and a few bits and bobs from the decade in which the house was built, though.

It has good bones, but needs a lot of updating. It would be a good family home w/some modernization. The owners took care of it.

The basement bar set up is awesome. You don’t get a lot of house for $400k in Hastings.
