The amenities are nice. Playground, pool, massage table, basketball court, etc...
So much wood and brick, none of which is aesthetically pleasing.....in the way it was used. Bulky wood furniture, does not look comfortable. The ceilings are distracting, especially the one with the weird wood. It makes me sad, that the books are out in the barn area. With the size of the house and the property, they could have made an amazing Library.....instead of utility type shelving.
I am baffled at the designs on the the parking area-driveway. What is the purpose of that?

The grounds are great. That's alot of brick and wood. I would have thought it was older than 1996!
I don't live in an $8 million property but we do have our own car wash and it's nice. Not the drive thru scrubby brush, scratch your paint, style this is. But a manual soapy foamer then rinse it off, do a good job kind of wash bay.

Much younger I could have lived there, although it is far too big.

It looks so institutional. Nothing cozy about it. Hard pass for me.

Looks industrial.
I would take the stove and oven out of the kitchen and put it in mine. That is my biggest take away from the house.
The entertainment area is pretty amazing, but most of it would not get used.

I saw that elsewhere. Looks like he really, really never wants to leave the house for any event ever again and has prepared for every instance where he might need to. Next up: emergency room and two-bed hospital.

From the outside it looks like a strip mall and from the inside it doesn't have any character or charm. The kitchen looks like a big restaurant kitchen. It's very boring. Too bad.

After so many white and beige mega-houses, I was actually really happy to see brick and wood. And there were a few rooms where I thought they captured the MCM look fairly well. But there were other rooms that looked very blah to me and others I didn't understand---like the ceiling in the play room for kids. What was that? And, as always, I don't care if I win 10 billion dollars today, I don't want that size house. I just don't. I do not require my house to broadcast how much money I have. That's not what I want from my house. It's not it's job. In fact if I did win that much money, I'd stay right in the house I already have, but I would restore it to the degree that I cannot afford to do now, with really amazing craftspeople who know how to maintain and replicate old ways of doing things. There's also way more "other stuff" on that property than I would ever want. If I had that kind of acreage most of it would be left far more natural.

The lights coming off the square ceiling tray (I guess with recessed lighting?) are not good. I always think that people with harsh overhead lights in the bedroom do not read in bed. Too much glare.
Ix-nay to what I presume is the primary bath urinal.
I scrolled a long time to see the ice rink photo. That's pretty badass.
I kind of liked it. But the grounds were not beautiful enough.

Just goes to show money can’t buy good taste 🫤 I was going to say the exact same thing! The only thing I like about that house is the Mickey Mouse bedding.

I'm not going to read any responses before I answer..
Not my cup of tea. I don't hate it but I don't love it. Too much brick inside. Feel like it needs a little updating. But if you wanna give it to me then I would love it. haha.
Your own car wash, yes please.
The outside is pretty.
The price tag seems low.

Just goes to show money can’t buy good taste 🫤 I think owners did an amazing job of keeping the integrity and aesthetic of the era of the house instead of gutting it and putting shiplap or all glass, chrome and white tile

Just goes to show money can’t buy good taste 🫤 I think owners did an amazing job of keeping the integrity and aesthetic of the era of the house instead of gutting it and putting shiplap or all glass, chrome and white tile I think they could have found something inbetween. It was built in 1996 - not an era renowned for style particularly, at least not in the UK.

I get what they were going for, but I think it's a huge miss. The lighted trey ceilings in the bedrooms were straight out of McMansion Hell. All the outbuildings, barns, etc looked like a jumbled mess. And can't even tell where the main house is in relation to that. Also, the interior design feels like it's got too much space and not enough space at the same time.

Uh...how? I'm not seeing any FLW inspiration there, lol. I mean, there's a whole lotta unnecessary exposed brick goin' on there.
