Hasan Piker was born in the US and holds a US passport. He is a progressive influencer who has spoken out against the Trump administration and Israel's actions in Gaza. He was detained by CBP upon re-entering the US and asked questions about his support for Palestine and what he thinks about Trump.
An American citizen.
He was released, but that's not the point. The point is that, as an American citizen, his political views are no business of CBP or the government.
This is fascism.

Supporting Palestine is not the same as supporting Hamas which is wrong!. I agree that we shouldn’t support Hamas, but free speech is free speech. This administration has no problem with US citizens who voice support for murderous dictators and literal Nazis. Those folks aren’t being detained and questioned at the airport. American citizens should never be harassed by the government for their political speech. I thought we learned that during McCarthyism and the red scare. But it seems some of us never learn from history.
