You wait decades for one and two come along in the same week! The Wee Hoosie posted the other day was an annex to a lighthouse in a very remote part of the Scottish north coast. This one is the full (decommissioned) lighthouse for sale, again on the north coast but within walking distance of the nearest town. It needs cozying-up in my opinion, but again, great views and a dinky studio just ripe for a craft room with whale watching on the side. Holborn Head Lighthouse |

I really like it. It's not my usual style, but walking through it has a blend of modern and old feel to it that I often see realtors touting, but rarely agree that a property actually possesses. This one really feels that way to me. I like that the kitchen definitely has a modern feel without it being all white! Yay!! I love the interior shutters on the windows. I'm a sucker for shutters that actually serve a purpose. And of course the location is amazing! My DH has always wanted to live in the highlands or islands, so he'd be all over this location, too. In fact we're having a week of cooler weather right now, and it matches up with Orkney's weather and he's been very excited for us to be having an "Orkney week". Minus the wind and water, of course.  |

And that little studio is absolutely screaming to be a craft room!!  |

I was thinking there were going to be tons and tons of stairs... but this one isn't too bad! I love it. It does need a little coziness feeling but that can be done easily! I would move there! |
