We are moving in a few weeks and the TV service we have, isn't available where we are moving to.
We are considering going to YouTube TV but I don't know anyone that uses it. If you do I'm curious if you like it and get all the channels you like to watch.
Thanks Steph

You can have 6 logins so I share it with my sister & BIL which makes it more affordable.

We don’t currently have streaming but when we did, it was YouTube. We were happy with it- we chose it at the time so we could watch NFL games along with other things.

Yes and yes. I like it and have had no issues and get more channels for less $ than cable. Same. My DD had it in BHam. TV was my DH's hobby and we had Dish. Every stinkin' channel! It was costing us a mint. After he passed, I called to cancel and got suckered in to keeping it but downgrading. I thought it was a good deal until I got the first bill. Forgot all the equipment costs, fees, etc. It was over $110. For nothing I really watched. So off to YTTV and a free 10 day trial. It took a hot minute to figure out the recording aspect but it is pretty cool. And now I pay for it. Calling Dish today to do the REAL cancellation.

We switched from DirecTV to YouTube last year and so far, haven't found anything "missing" from what we enjoy watching.
We watch a lot of college sports and have found those easily. Loved their multi-view during March Madness and the Olympics where we could see 2, 3, or 4 channels at the same time.
Just suspended our account for the summer since we don't watch much during that time. Have an auto-resume set for the end of August for the start of football season.

We've used YouTube for at least 5 years and have been happy with it. It has everything we need and I like the unlimited DVR storage. Agree with the prices having gotten so expensive, but all the other streaming services seem to be going up as well.

Calling Dish today to do the REAL cancellation. Gird your loins and be prepared for a LONG phone call. THey do NOT want you to cancel. They will give you the royal run-around and every excuse in the book why you should keep it and how the sky will most definitely fall if you cancel. They will give you this on REPEAT. Repeat repeat repeat. I was SO firm and final in what I said and it was till a long time on the phone with them to cancel. I had been a customer with them since 1996 and they did not want to lose me. But it was just too expensive and even with bringing the services down - too much. We have Netflix and other streaming services, so that in combination with DISH was just too much for the little TV we watch. I was SO frustrated when I finally got off the phone with them. And now I still get a 'bill' every month that says what I owe. But when I go to my account (which I had to re-set my password - I think they messed with it).. it is not really a bill, but just what I need to pay to 'restart' my service. Online is says I do not owe - but the paper bill says PAYEMENT DUE: $121.00 - so it is so misleading and can really make you do a double take. After many happy years with DISH - they sure pissed me off in the end. It has been since January and I am still hot about it (and still getting those 'bills') .... I do have YouTube TV and I do think it is a lot. But it works well. You can 'record' shows for later. I tape CBS Sunday Morning because I love catching up on that. You can watch "LIVE" with a guide, etc. Or go to the Library or on Demand stuff. It plays well with my Amazon Echo 15 that I treat as a Frame TV in my kitchen. I share it with my kids, so even though it is expensive, I feel that it is value added.

We use Hulu Live.
We printed a lit of all the cable channels we had and then printed the offerings for Hulu Live, You Tube TV, Direct TV Now, and Sling. We then marked the cable list with must have, nice to have, and dont care. Hulu live matched up best for us- and it comes with Disney Plus now and ESPN plus, which is useless

Gird your loins and be prepared for a LONG phone call. THey do NOT want you to cancel Oh yes, that is how I ended up with the lower package I have now. "but ma'am you have been such a good customer for, oh wow, 25 years! Let's see what else we can do for you." So yes, I am prepared. That is why I have been putting it off. I just want to a quick Hey, it's been great but it is not what I need so flip the switch and send me a label to send all your equipment back.

I just want to a quick Hey, it's been great but it is not what I need so flip the switch and send me a label to send all your equipment back. Good luck! My equipment was so old that I did not have to send it back. No matter how firm I was, I had the royal runaround. I even called them on that and it still went on. It took all I had to not get really pissy with them. I know they are just doing their job to retain me - and I kept saying that. But I wanted to reach out and choke someone by the end. LOL Save any email confirmations, etc. They do not want to lose you. I think DISH is probably close to being over, which is sad. But geeze... it was frustrating.

No matter how firm I was, I had the royal runaround I used "my husband just died and this was his thing, not mine" line and I think I had a softer play of it. I also did in the back of my mind almost want to keep it as it would be easier to just continue but I wanted a much lower package. Now I have not watched it in a month except for Saturday night when my internet went out. Which is also getting switched soon I hope. So I really just don't want to have to deal with it. I don't want the TV attached to a cable as I want to rearrange my bedroom. Just lots of things.

I switched from DirectTV to YouTubeTV after reading about it on here. The switch was painless and I finally got to remove that ugly satellite dish in my backyard!
I'm happy with YouTubeTV, but wish it was cheaper. I think I pay close to $80/month. The price has gone up once since I got it over a year ago.

How do you do that? My dad has YouTube TV. He's happy with it, and it has all 3 Hallmark channels. It doesn't have Great American and I don't know about UpTV - those are the main channels my mom watches for movies. It does have the big 3 broadcasters, HGTV, and Food Network, so those are the main ones she watches.

We have it, too. We got it for "a few months" to watch away football games, but I liked being about to start Survivor from the beginning at any time that I've kept it. Now, Survivor is about to end, but football season is right around the corner.

We sign up for it for football and end up keeping it through the end of NCAA basketball. We like having it, but since we pretty much only use it for sports it gets expensive.

Do they offer Disney, Nickelodeon, Cooking Channel, Food Network, PBS, Create Channel, etc?
Right now I pay $40 for premium level cable with Frontier then Disney + and Prime. Looking for 1 stop shop option.
Also do you get Thursday Night football games on YT TV? I ask as we want to cancel Prime when it ends in June (I pay for a year up front to make it cheaper).
I miss the days of paying for 1 service and getting everything in one spot. Hate all these damn apps and their costs.
I got rid of PBS and Discovery +. But so kiss Discovery.
