Yes we have it. Out of everything we have tried, YouTube TV has been the best and most affordable option. We have had satelite tv and a few different cable companies. It was consistent price increases and changes in what channel packages they offered. I think we have had it for 5 or 6 years and have only experienced one slight price increase. I love that we can travel and log in from our hotel in the evenings. After tour whatever city we are in, it's nice to relax at night and watch tv for a bit.

We have it. It's okay. My biggest complaint is their interface is very glitchy. The other thing is their price increases every single year. We have so many other streaming services we are considering cancelling it and just using Roku.

We have had a price increase of at least $10 every year we have had it. We got it about 3 years ago. We started at $59 and we are now at $87/month. We have also had issues not being able to log in unless it is at home so we may have different plans.

Do they offer Disney, Nickelodeon, Cooking Channel, Food Network, PBS, Create Channel, etc? Right now I pay $40 for premium level cable with Frontier then Disney + and Prime. Looking for 1 stop shop option. Also do you get Thursday Night football games on YT TV? I ask as we want to cancel Prime when it ends in June (I pay for a year up front to make it cheaper). I miss the days of paying for 1 service and getting everything in one spot. Hate all these damn apps and their costs. I got rid of PBS and Discovery +. But so kiss Discovery. Thursday Night Football is contracted with Prime, so I dont think you are going to get that anywhere else. The best thing to do for the rest is to go to each providers website and enter your zip code to see what channels you would be getting. I know Hulu Live has most of what you are looking for- in my zip code. Disney Plus is included with Hulu Live as is Hulu streaming.

Other than the yearly increase in $$, we have it and like it. It does get Disney, etc.

Yep...and even with the crappy speeds of our internet we haven't had any problems. We haven't missed a thing that we had in the past with Directv.

Yes, to the bolded channels. They don't have the cooking channel but I have found another channel I never knew of TasteMade. A lot of Jamie Oliver shows on there. There is cooking on there. Right now I am watching a series with Jamie on Italy. There was another that came on the other day and the guy takes to the food back to the origin? I think that was the premise. But to the others you asked about, no. I think these days, unless you are my mother and don't care to see but one thing, there is no one stop option. I have Prime, well, because I shop. My DD doesn't believe in going out into peoply places so she searches Amazon first. She used to live in BHam and could get Whole Foods deliveries. She doesn't live near a WF any longer so that service is not needed. But we do use Prime video for my Acorn and Paramount+ subs. Between me and my kids we have just about all of the streaming platforms. We are trying to figure out which ones we really watch. OR try to figure out the cutting of the waves until a show comes out that we want to watch and then activate for a month and cut again. I know people do that but I am not one to keep up when this show is out, that show is premiering, etc. So until funds are such that I have to do that, it may not happen. I agree with you on the multitude out there.

But we have a more expensive package than you. It went up $10. We now pay $123, but that includes the network add on channels like Paramount Plus, HBO Max, Starz, etc. When we first started, I think it was $112. But then I added Paramount Plus and that raised it a few dollars. Then the increase from December. It's still cheaper than any other service we have had. To watch from another city, you have to select "manage your home area", then it will let you switch locations.

iowgirl wow, I feel like maybe I set a record. 20 minutes, 2 operators but Dish is canceled. Also, they will not need the equipment back. This means after 27 years, the TV in the bedroom is not connected to a cable and I can FINALLY rearrange that room. Which may be done this weekend while my mom is visiting. Yes, they did push. We will waive this, we will drop that, we see you have 2 receivers-maybe you only need 1...I stood firm but nice and said I just want to cancel. I do not need it. Boom! Done.

I, too, just canceled Dish after 23 years. I also got the runaround about dropping this and that. I told her if I kept anything, it would be the local channels which I currently paid $14 for. Oh she could do that for a costs of $40 per month. I just said no, I really only watch those channels on Wednesday and Thursday nights and really don't care who is killing who in Houston cause I don't live there. When she said I see you have recently had bad weather in your area, what are you going to do when it happens again. I said the last bad weather we had was a hurricane in July 2024 and the electricity was out. How was I supposed to watch TV to see what was going on around me without electricity? Finally she got it, I was done with the costs of Dish and even with a $40 discount, I was still paying $70 for what. At least it is now gone!

Yes, since March, 2020. No complaints other than they've raised the monthly subscription price quite a bit in the last 5 years.

This means after 27 years, the TV in the bedroom is not connected to a cable and I can FINALLY rearrange that room. I hear you on that one! But my husband watches the sub-channels on the locals, so dangit, I still need it hooked to the TV jack to be hooked up to our antenna. I told her if I kept anything, it would be the local channels which I currently paid $14 for. Can you get your locals on an antenna? One thing I am glad we kept was our outdoor big TV antenna. We actually had a new one put up when we moved here in the early 1990's. And now we do watch a lot of 'local' TV, but mostly the sub-channels. We live far enough away from any major city broadcasts that we have to have the outdoor big antenna. But do you live close enough that you could get the locals with a simpler indoor type antenna? We are just a smidge over 2 hours away from any city that has the networks broadcast, so the indoor antenna doesn't quite do it. It can pick up a couple, but not very well. I am simply amazed at what is all on the sub-channels and how many we get. Probably our most watched is MeTV. They even have a MeTV subchannel that is all old cartoons - my grandkids love it! LOL

Penellopy yep, I even got "we can do this blah blah pkg for $60 for the next 24 mos". No thank you. And if I'm not mistaken, I can watch local news at 6 and 10. They show up on ABC, CBS, and NBC. I don't normally watch but I think I've seen them on YTTV. However, as far as bad weather is concerned we are becoming the new tornado alley. At least the part of the state where my 2 oldest live. My DD just had the news station nearest her pulled up on her laptop. I think I finally told 2nd guy look, don't need it. I have YTTV. That sort of sped things along. And they flip that switch fast! By the time I got home and checked the TV, dish was gone. Except for the naughty pay channels, the on demand and the Dishscape channel. Which I gotta say, I'll miss. The Halloween one was cute.

Yes and yes. I like it and have had no issues and get more channels for less $ than cable. Completely agree!

When you record shows can you extend the recording for like 5 minutes? I loved that with Xfinity and now I feel like I miss the last few minutes of all my shows with Hulu

I can extend shows by a minute on cable so they are not cut off. I don't think Hulu can do this, wondering about YouTube!
