I rotate my plates, I turn them and twist them, change my positioning of the die on the plates etc. I have even cleaned them....however, when I am now cutting with them, I have noticed that on the back of my diecut, there are numerous lines from previous cuts. When I put my PP or CS on the die the wrong way, those cuts now appear on the 'right' side which annoys me immensely.
Time for new plates? or is there something I can try to reduce those lines?
I have also noticed, that lately, when I have put textured CS through, it comes out flat and smooth - the texture has been squished out....my sandwich has not changed, I do not use shims etc....but this is a new development.
Any ideas?
TIA Jamey

I would get new plates. If they're showing previous cuts on your die cuts it's definitely time.

It is time for new plates; as a temporary measure, take some printer paper and put it over the good paper you don't want to "mark". The printer paper ends up with the lines from past cuts but is not thick enough to muck up your sandwich so you should be ok. This will help until you can get new plates. Good luck!

I have not tried this, but I have read about reviving the plates by putting them in an oven. Here is a link to one: fixing warped plates If you google cuttlebug plates fixing or warped you will find many more.

I agree - time to get new plates. I've heard of people putting them in the oven as sophikins shared, but in some cases the plates then cracked. I'd just retire them and buy some replacements.
