Good morning. sueg, i loved your photos in yesterday's thread. I hope you have a grand time. naby64, though it's hard, I do hope thst you will do something special for yourself this weekend. (((((HUGS))))). **GypsyGirl**, I hope that you'll do something nurturing for yourself this weekend. What is everyone up to today? I'm tired and apart from knitting I will likely nap. Dinner will be tacos. What's on.your menu? Can I please get recommendations for meal services? A friend needs them for her elderly parents. Enjoy a relaxing, restorative weekend.

Happy Friday!
I've got a slow day at work so I'm catching up with my TV shows. I've got a massage this afternoon so I'm looking forward to that. The place is almost right across the street so it's easy to go on my lunch hour.
Mom got settled back in at the care home. She said she was up most of the night but was in the dining room eating breakfast when my sister went down there this morning. I'm sure I'll see her sometime this weekend. My dad will want to spend time with her. She's still on a modified diet since her procedure didn't work. She already hates the food there so I'm guessing this won't make it better.
Not sure what dinner will be tonight. I'll head over to my sister's after work and see what they're having.
Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend! We got to go to South Carolina last weekend to spend a few days seeing our new granddaughter, daughter and the twins! It was a lot of driving but we did some fun things and I miss them so much! I am fixing cajun chicken, green beans, potatoes and parmesan noodles for dinner.

Sorry to hear that dang migraine is rearing it's ugly head again leannec. Thank you scrapmaven. I think I may just rest. It's been a week and after having my mom here with me last weekend, I just want a quiet house. I have some weed pulling calling my name in the backyard around all the pavers. If it will stop raining so I can get out there, I do enjoy that. Just me, the dogs and listening to the birds. Tearisci, I am glad to hear your mom is back at "home". I wish her peace settling in, again. Dinner might be cake tonight. Maybe I'll do some veggies to offset it.

Hope naby64, @**gypsygirl**, leannec and Tearisci and her mom have restful, relaxing weekends. Happy birthday to Molly! Our company that was supposed to arrive today won’t be here until tomorrow due to a small but important vehicle issue (horn isn’t working) so they were waiting on a part before heading out. Means we don’t have much on our schedule today. I’m going to bake either (or both!) banana bread and chocolate chip cookies and I have wings marinating to cook later today to serve tomorrow. The eagles are fishing below us so may go out for some photos between sprinkles. It’s going to be another rainy weekend here which is disappointing as the orchard up the road is having an apple blossom festival that we had hoped to visit. We will be enjoying steak and fixings left over from the BBQ last night. Happy TGIF!

Hi all, We’re back at our hotel for a rest after another long day (though not quite as long as yesterday) of exploring. We started out at a church that was mostly destroyed in the great Lisbon earthquake of 1755. It is now an archeological museum and had some wonderful things to see. Then we walked over to Lisbon Cathedral which days from the 12th century. It was only partly destroyed by the earthquake and you can see the colour differences on the outside between the original and rebuilt sections. After that, we walked into the city centre to find lunch - cod croquettes with a cold glass of local wine, then onto the Story of Lisbon - a quite amazing audio-visual telling of the development of the city from its Roman past to today. By then our feet were tired and it was HOT, so we found a tuk tuk driver who took us on a 2 hour tour of the city, with a few stops for photos. She was also very kind and took several photos of us together at lookouts and near some beautiful tiled pictures.
Dinner tonight is at a seafood restaurant down near the waterside.

I’m waiting for my friend to arrive so we can go for a walk in a local trail. Hoping the rain holds off until we get home. DH and I went into the city this morning to grab groceries and now he’s off on an ATV excursion with DS.
I spoke to the kennel where I want Walker to go in the summer when we do a couple overnight bike trips and then a week at a cottage. He’s signed up for a play date in June so they can access his personality.
SIL has been sick since December and finally had a CT scan. She got the results today and has a lung infection similar to TB. WTH?!! Now she needs to see a lung specialist for next steps.
Supper will be rechauffe pizza and a salad.

Happy Friday my friends! scrapmaven are you home from your road trip? I hope it was amazing! relax and enjoy your day! Tearisci I'm glad your mom is settled back in, bummed the procedure didn't bring her relief. Enjoy the quiet day! leannec Happy Birthday to your sweet DD. sueg Your pic's were amazing. I want the sour Cherry cordial in a chocolate cup, sounds like the perfect treat! naby64 quiet solo weekends are exactly how I like to treat myself. Neisey I hope the weather holds out for you to attend the festival. Enjoy your company! I wouldn't delay my trip for a non operational horn, but DH would. We had another round of storms come through early this morning, I've been up since 5am. Caught up with work and made a Costco and HEB run. cadoodlebug I thought of your quick trips to Costco. I need things for GS's Birthday party on Sunday and don't want to fight the crowd tomorrow. Tomorrow is my DIL's birthday and Sunday GS's party, so it's a busy weekend. Dinner will probably be snacky. I haven't cooked all week, why start now. I have a patriotic throw that I am hoping to put the binding on this evening. My goal is to have seasonal couch blanket quilts all year round. Wishing everyone a great day!!

taylortroop Sending good vibes for your SIL. A friends husband was recently diagnosed with what sounds like a very similar infection, he had so many tests and was so very sick before he was finally diagnosed and is finally on the mend!

I thought of your quick trips to Costco. Yep, often several times a week. In and out unless I spend some time looking at clothing. The receipt checker often says *See you tomorrow!*

Scrapmaven, Hope you have a restful weekend.. leannec...sorry you have another migraine. Your Molly is a beauty..Happy Birthday to her!! Tearisci ...Hope your Mom settles back in OK sueg...Love the pictures
I took my girl out for a walk and she strayed from our usual route....Unusual for her...we got almost a mile and a half in!!! I then did a couple of errands including a stop at TJ's...love the store, however the parking lot is a horror show on a good day!! I deserved a stop at Starbucks for an iced shaken expresso after that, YUM!!! I think the plan is out to a local seafood place for dinner...I am not complaining about not cooking...It was his idea🤣🤣🤣

One of my mom's friends from church went and visited her today and took her outside. My mom looked really good. She usually doesn't settle in right away after leaving the hospital but this time seems to be different.
Apparently, when she left the hospital yesterday, everyone came to her room to say goodbye. I thought that was so sweet.

The one I go to now shares a huge parking lot with Lowe's and a consignment store and a few small stores. Parking is wonderful!

thick fog this morning and now it is sitting right on the coast.. very warm here--67 degrees. some wind though. all ready to go to conditioning class this morning.. got there and they were doing lots of road construction so couldn't get into the garage so I gave up and did other errands. The parking is tight on the street even when the garage is open so that was a no go.
finished clearing out and redoing my last clothes drawer in my dresser. going to work on the boxes in the living room next.
actually have a plan for dinner--lemon pepper chicken, pasta and salad. easy peasy.
have a couple of boxes for goodwill but will wait til monday to see if I can get anything else together.
hugs to all.. stay cool out there!!

seeing our new granddaughter, daughter and the twins! Oh, how sweet !!! Dontcha just love the way baby's sweet little heads smell, plus, their adorable little cooing noises! **GypsyGirl**....Thinking of you and your daughter, and so sorry being back at the hospital yesterday was so difficult. (( hugs )) Dinner might be cake tonight. Maybe I'll do some veggies to offset it. naby64 ....Happy belated....errrrr.....bull-ated Birthday!

I've had weather/barometric pressure headaches off and on for a few days, soooo tired of them! The intermittent rain storms hurt my head and joints. Thank goodness for an ice cap that covers my entire head, ice pack on back of neck, massage, and sinus pressure medicine! Had the best conversation with one of my best friends this afternoon, we can't get together as much as we used to, and had a lottttt to catch up on. No idea what's for dinner. My head, neck, hip, scapula, and ribs hurt way too much to cook today. Maybe frozen enchiladas.

Dinner is up in the air - we were supposed to go out to dinner with another couple, but their plans changed unexpectedly so we're figuring out a plan B.
It was a long week at work (extra hours), despite being only a 4-day work week...hate it when that happens! Anyway, I definitely see a margarita or two in my future...plus I woke up with the beginnings of a migraine, but I managed to successfully stave it off by late morning. And this time it stayed gone - always a win!
I'm having some friends over Sunday so I may bake something tomorrow. DH still has not gotten all his test results from last week's tests so he has to stay GF for now until we know whether he's in the clear for Celiac or not.

Happy birthday Molly! 🥳 leannec she is gorgeous. My plans for the weekend is to do a whole lot of NOTHING! I am spent after such a busy week. I didn't go to the football last night, even though we had bought tickets. I didn't even finish work until about 20 minutes before the match started, so I couldn't have gone anyway. I am very glad we didn't go, my team got smashed 56 to 107! 😫 Dinner was whatever I could find in the freezer, which turned out to be hash browns and pastizzi.

I am making the second of the two fancy burger patties I bought last week, along with a brioche bun and whatever veggie falls out of the fridge first. And seeing as how it’s past 6:35 pm now, maybe I’d like to start cooking … Tearisci, glad your mom got sprung and hope she remains happily settled at her current place. leannec, sorry about the migraine, but happy birthday to beautiful Molly! It’s my BIL’s 70th birthday today, too. hutchfan, congrats on the new baby and I’m glad you got to spend some time with her. sueg, enjoy that wonderful trip. I’m jealous! karenlou (and everyone), Trader Joe’s is known for their crappy parking lots, but it seems like the newer ones are doing a little better. The one I usually go to (near my mom’s) is a nightmare. Not that that stops us!

I hope that you get to see your grandbaby, very soon. I was relaxing quite nicely and then phone rang. My cardiologist called to give me the results of a recent test. I have a new issue that will be treated w/a med. I really am running out of diagnosis. She didn't want to wait all weekend and thought it was vital that I start the med immediately. She called the home phone, my cell and finally dh's cell phone. I was in the shower. So, I am a bit skeeved, but I'll be fine by am. I’m so sorry! Not what you need scrapmaven
