I am making the second of the two fancy burger patties I bought last week, along with a brioche bun and whatever veggie falls out of the fridge first. And seeing as how it’s past 6:35 pm now, maybe I’d like to start cooking … Tearisci, glad your mom got sprung and hope she remains happily settled at her current place. leannec, sorry about the migraine, but happy birthday to beautiful Molly! It’s my BIL’s 70th birthday today, too. hutchfan, congrats on the new baby and I’m glad you got to spend some time with her. sueg, enjoy that wonderful trip. I’m jealous! karenlou (and everyone), Trader Joe’s is known for their crappy parking lots, but it seems like the newer ones are doing a little better. The one I usually go to (near my mom’s) is a nightmare. Not that that stops us! Thank you! |

Yes, love that newborn baby smell and sounds, she was alert and si good the whole time we were there! I miss them so much of course I cried leaving them. Awww......I wish they lived closer! I think you said they recently moved away? They moved a year ago. It's still very upsetting to me and my husband that we don't get to see them much. |

lucyg, thank you. I keep expecting to go to the doctor and hear that they don't have anymore diagnosis for me and it's time to just go home. LOL.

scrapmaven .....I truly don't consider what you mentioned as a "pity party". I thought we were all here to chat about our lives, which includes some negative stuff. You were just sharing a new issue, not asking for sympathy. You've never dwelled on your diagnoses, you just barely vent sometimes. Anyhooo.....I hope whatever your cardiac issue is, your new med helps. I'd consider it a "pity party" if that was ALL someone posted about, and / or constantly "one-upped" their problems to other people. ( Just a silly example) " oh....YOU have pneumonia?
Well....10 years ago, I had triple pneumonia, a collapsed lung, had to be on oxygen, then
a permanent tracheostomy......and still
managed to cook 3 square meals a day (from SCRATCH!), take care of my hubby and 6 children, our 10 pets, AND had a full-time career, plus volunteered in my community! ".
