Good Morning.
How is everyone doing today?
What's your plan for the day?
What's on your menu?
I have a cold that seems to have settled in my airways. So, I don't think I'll be doing much today. At least I'm more awake.
Dinner will depend upon my energy level later. I might do Lamb chops, because they're easy and quick. Dh might do something simple like gyoza and rice, too.
What does everyone have to look fwd to? I think that's a great way to encourage healing.
I'm sending healing thoughts to all who need them. May everyone have a calm, easy day!

Happy Tuesday! Ugh scrapmaven! You need to kick that cold to the curb! I'm finishing up my reporting for the month this week and it's gone fairly smoothly. I didn't go see my mom yesterday because my stomach was all off. I'll take my dad to see her today sometime. Dinner tonight will be the fajitas I didn't make last night. I ended up just making a cheeseburger and tots because I wanted something simple. I'm feeling much better today so I will make a bigger dinner and have leftovers. Hope you all have a great day!

Good evening all,
We arrived back in Munich yesterday evening, about an hour later than scheduled, due to storms en route and in Munich delaying our departure. After four days of blue skies and very warm temperatures, walking out of the terminal into the rain was a bit of a shock! We had a great time, up until the last day. Something upset my tummy late Saturday/overnight into Sunday and so we didn’t get to do everything we’d planned for Sunday. I felt so bad I could hardly eat dinner! The rough ride home yesterday didn’t help, but I’m feeling a lot better today.
I’ve been out for a walk, had a manicure and done grocery shopping for essentials - I had totally cleaned out the fridge before we left, so we needed a fair bit of fresh stuff. Dinner tonight is my favourite pasta dish - spaghetti alla Norma, with lots of garlic and eggplants. The sauce is done and I’ll put on water for the spaghetti when DH calls to say he’s on his way home.

Thank you ladies. Tearisci, are you still on the injections or did they stop them? I wonder if you had a reaction? I hope your visit goes well today. sueg, what a bummer that your tummy was upset on vacation. Now you can look fwd to your big trip to see your third grandbaby. hutchfan, have an enjoyable day.

I'm heading out to do errands. I need to buy some more shorts for the upcoming summer heat. Dinner might be Jalapeno Popper Chicken ~ have to use the oven while it's not in the 90s/100s. Big hugs to all!

Tearisci , are you still on the injections or did they stop them? I wonder if you had a reaction? I hope your visit goes well today. No, they stopped working so I am not taking them now. The only thing that has changed other than forgetting my pills for a couple of days is that I ran out of my cholesterol med. I'm going to pick it up today but I haven't taken it for a few days. Things are almost back to normal now but it's not been fun!

Good morning! It's becoming quite apparent that I am going to be a morning person for the foreseeable future - thanks to the bird dog. He and DH were early birds and early to bed. I'm a night owl - or was! He gets me up between 6:30 and 7:00 am. The one thing is I do seem to get more stuff done before lunchtime. Just can't stay up late anymore.
Today is another day of phone calls and paperwork (it's never ending!) then I go for my facial this afternoon and will run a couple of errands on the way home. I also signed up for Quilt Festival classes this morning and was able to get into my first choices. BFF also got into one of them with me so that'll be fun.
This evening I'll be sorting through old photos for the slide show. I did find out my SIL will indeed be attending the service, along with her son and daughter, but apparently not her DH (2nd husband I have never met in 10+ years). No idea how long they are staying, probably not long. Love the the niece and nephew so it will be nice to see them again. She's being a bit of a pain with the photo slide show. She has sent some nice photos of DH growing up to use but she wants one of DH and an old neighborhood friend that DH hasn't seen in 50 years. DH's back is to the camera so you don't even know it's him! Yeah, nope not making the final cut, no matter how important you claim it is. Well after next Thursday, I'll probably never have to see her again so there's that. Sorry for that vent!
Dinner tonight will be the tuna fish salad I didn't have last night. Instead I had the leftovers of my steak quesadilla from lunch.

Good morning all!! Whew, it's been a morning. I have had to make my 3rd!! call to Waste Management for yard waste pickup. 6-7 bags are leaves. On my curb since April 15ish. I have gone online as they ask us to do, I have now called 3 times. Today I got a Code Red pickup ticket. Which Amanda, the supervisor, assures me is the highest level of issue. Other than a safety thing. Please give them 24-48 hours to get this taken care of. Amanda, you have been helpful but if at that 49 hour mark when I go home for lunch on Thursday and those bags are still there, they will be put in the trash cart. Which is a no no. Oh, ma'am, we should have those picked up by then. Um-hmm, we'll see. Other than that, new internet service installed yesterday afternoon, DH's phone line cut-off on the plan, and today old internet will be disconnected. This girl is moving along. Oh but consumer beware! If you have smart homed everything, then when you change internet, you will have 3 smart TVs, 2 Rokus, 1 Ring doorbell, 1 Wyze puppy camera, 1 phone, 1 tablet, 1 laptop, 1 Switch and ohhhhh, about 5 smart plugs and bulbs to connect to the new service. Whew! Everything but the plugs are done. Dinner last night was great. If you missed it, I posted a tangy pepper sauce recipe in yesterday's thread. That stuff is very tasty. I had the dinner for breakfast this morning. I am not sure about dinner tonight. Maybe lentil tacos, if I am home. I need to run to Costco for dog food and Aldi for some other items. I leave next Wednesday for MD to visit the youngest DS. ODS will be going with me. So me personally, I don't need to have much food around but those dang pups gotta eat. I have a cold that seems to have settled in my airways That doesn't sound good. I hope you can find some relief. Something upset my tummy late Saturday/overnight into Sunday I hate being sick on vacation. Sorry you missed out on some of what you wanted to do. We were on a cruise and I was terribly sick. Upset tummy and a fever. But we had an excursion to ruins the next day. That 2 hour bus ride almost got me. I saw what I needed and wanted to and then lay down on a concrete bench to wait on DH. I fell asleep there. In Mexico! DH was so upset "what if something had happened to you?" well as sick as I was, they would have brought me back. Did the same thing in NYC at the Statue of Liberty. I hope you are feeling better. Oh the weekend news is DD got stung by a wasp at a wedding, not once but twice. She's allergic enough to have a swelling reaction but not so bad it affects her breathing. I told her if the itchin and swelling didn't go down by today, to go to urgent care. She called me earlier to say I hope you're happy. (i hope you're happy now. Did you just sing that line?) Anyway, she got a steroid shot and she let me know how bad her hip was now hurting. Well, at least you can clean your house at 2 am this morning. She was not happy at that statement. I hope everyone has a good day. Healing thoughts to everyone.

Happy Tuesday dinner friends! scrapmaven I hope your cold moves on down the road very quickly! Tearisci and sueg I'm sorry your tummies weren't happy the last few days! cadoodlebug 100's predicted here too by the end of the week, ugh, I just don't like the heat **GypsyGirl** I'm dragging my feet on the Quilt classes. There are so many I would like to take, I can't seem to settle on the most desired. I hope we can meet up again this year, hopefully even sooner! The housecleaner comes today, so I've been putting things away in prep. They come every 4th week, currently on Tuesday's, it's always a scheduling nightmare with the dog being here,DH takes her for a ride to the aiport, but they always come home before they are finished and she's underfoot. I need to call and see if we can move our day to Thursday or Friday to help alleviate this stress, as an added bonus, it would keep the house clean until early the following week if they are at the ranch. Once they finish today, I can start to gather things for my house, dog, chicken donkey sitting weekend at my sons starting Thursday.. Dinner is going to either be take out or a quick dinner out somewhere, DH suggested Chili's after seeing an article on the Today show this morning about Chili's making a comeback. Wishing everyone a great day ahead!

I hope they get picked up ASAP Dinner tonight is mini-meatloaves (so quick and easy - only 20 minutes in the oven) with leftover squash casserole and probably green beans or Roma beans - anyone got a tried and true recipe for Roma beans? I haven't hit on a recipe that we enjoy with them. Went to the pool this morning - I'm loving getting to swim. Podiatrist this afternoon.

Took lunch to my mom and she was super sharp today. It warms my heart to see her when she's doing well. Her blood sugar is quite high but the nurses are aware and are checking it more often.

I hope that your dd is OK. Youch. I hope that your trip to Maryland will be very healing.

Tomorrow is DH’s 65th birthday. Today we did a birthday excursion instead of a gift. We went biking at a provincial park that has an awesome 14 km trail. We did it twice for a big ride of 28 km. Then we stopped for lunch which was absolutely delicious. I had Balsamic and Brie, which was a chicken breast, green apple slices and Brie drizzled with balsamic and folded in naan bread. The side was sweet potato fries. Oh my, it was sooo good.
Summer has arrived here and today is 30 degrees C. Tomorrow will be the same but it’s supposed to rain.
Supper will be bagels since we ate late and are still full.

sf is cold.. and that ball park has wicked wind. When we lived in the bay area, we would go to games. It would be in the 90s/100 at our town and at the game we'd freeze. Of course, we always came prepared!

Beautiful day today, 23C, no humidity so we sat out, BBQd burgers and played some yard games. The heat and humidity arrives tomorrow…last year I swam in our lake on June 5th. This spring has been much cooler but the temps will feel like 37C on The 5th so I may tie the record.
Sorry to hear a few Peas haven’t been feeling well. Hope you are all doing better tomorrow!

Pro tip, meal prepping is a great way to ensure you always have food that is cold, a little old and not what you are in the mood for.
I had half a peanut butter sandwich because my glucose was 220 from some cookies I had for lunch. I hope I can get some sleep tonight.
