I miss Archiver's terribly. As a result, I haven't spent much on supplies as I used to. I got the idea to go on a scrapbooking store road trip! What stores are the best in the southeast? Or if there's a store near a fairly large city that you think I shouldn't miss, let me know!

The Scrapbook Superstore in Seveirville/pigeon Forge TN and not too far away, Scrappin' in the City in Knoxville.
Those are really awesome stores and the only ones left in Tennessee.
There was a time a few years ago there more than 20 stores in Tennessee.

I'm not sure how far Southeast you're talking about but there is the most fabulous store in St. Petersburg, Florida called Whim So Doodle.....Best brick 'n mortar store EVER?  ? |

And if you're coming to Florida, you must go to Violette's in Lakeland! Huge store with all the latest and greatest!

Scrappin in the City in Knoxville - yes! I was there this fall. It wasn't as packed full as in the past but it was nicely curated. And the new stuff was plentiful and it was stuff I wanted to buy (I.e. It was good, current, trendy, fun product). If you're in the Nashville area we still have a store in Murfreesboro called Sassy Scrapper. It's worth a drive by if you're in the area but I wouldn't make a destination out if it. They do get new stuff and that's why I say to stop in. But they also still have stuff on the shelves from 2007 and that's why I say don't make a huge special trip. The style of the store in general is a little dated but they do make an effort to bring in some new goodies. I wish they updated their social media and blog more often to show what's new. Scrappin in the City is great about doing that! I do miss Archivers though. Going into a store that had EVERYTHING was a treat. The location where ours was is still vacant and it still makes me sad when I drive by  |

There is a scrapbook clearance store in Destin like the one in Pigeon Forge. Also, there is a Scrap in time in Crestview, FL.
The Scrapbook Princess is located in Moody, AL not far from Birmingham. The owners are sooo sweet!

I like Enchanted Cottage in Lewisville, North Carolina. I stamp a lot and they have a great selection. And their scrapping stuff is great, too.

I go to these stores about 4 or 5 times a year and have been going since they opened. For years I have preferred Scrappin in the City because I like a boutique feel to a store vs a bigger store. However, the last few times I've been it has been disapointing because they don't have near the product they used to have. I guess that is due to the decline of the hobby. They do still carry new product and have a really friendly, helpful staff so I will keep trying to support them. I used to get agravated going in the Scrapbook Superstore because the store is huge, but it was so full of old product. I am a scrapper that likes the latest and greatest product so that just sort of made me mad. But I have to say now I am enjoying going in because they carry some newer, up to date product. The lady that is buying for them now is a scrapper and she understands what hard core scrappers want. They do still have the clearance store next door if that is your thing, and there is still some older product in the main store. I really look forward to going in now. |

Stopped at a Publix in St. Pete, FL for a Cuban sandwich and we were parked across the street from Whim So Doodle scrapbooking store so I HAD to go in. Lots and lots of great product and even picked up a really cool Florida stamp set. I think it is Kelly Purkey and it may have been designed and produced just for that store. Loved, loved, loved this store and made me wish even more that I still lived in Tampa.

I did not like the Scrapbook Superstore. Sorry! It felt icky, dark and old. It felt like walking into a scrapbooking time capsule to me. There were so few new items and it was way too cluttered. I suffered from overhype and then utter letdown when I got there. My dh was in disbelief when I came out empty handed. I miss being able to put my hands on products though. Nothing like those sparkling cellophane wrappers and fresh sheets of beautiful paper.
Hope you find some great places to shop!

The Destin, FL Scrapbook Clearance store has very old product, and unless you're in Destin for the beach, I wouldn't recommend a trip just for it. No new stuff there.

Scrapbook Superstore and the outlet in Pigeon Forge have A LOT of things to look at. Their set-up is not what I prefer. The coordinating embellishments are not located next to the paper they go with. I usually need more than an hour to go through the main store. I like to bring pictures to match up to paper/embellishments when I go there. We try to manage to stop there on our way home from Cinn., Ohio to Columbia, SC. Since I only get there about once a year, I like to spend a couple hours between the stores.

There is a great store in Spartanburg, SC. I can't remember the name, but I stop there anytime we in that area. People there are so helpful and nice.

The store in Spartanburg is Scrapbook Creations. Great store! They have really good crops and have accommodations on the property you can book. Also the store has a resaurant (sandwiches, soup, salad, etc) so it really is a one stop shop for scrap, rest, and eats!

I think there are still 3 LSS in the Greenville/Spartanburg area we want to go to. Scrapnesia is another I have heard of. And one other I can't think of off the top of my head. It is a little over a 2 hour drive for us, so I want to make the drive worth while. We have one LSS in the Columbia area.
