I started to clean and organize tonight. I keep wanting to craft, but I can barely move in my room, so I have to get it cleaned up first. I've realized how much stuff I have. It's insane. I desperately need to purge.

I set up my dedicated craft room almost a year ago but didn't quite finish. I need to purge the shelves of the closet in the room, which is mostly full of book and papers - non-scrapbook stuff - so that I can store all of my other crafty and sewing items there. I bought the Costco Project table last year, and they have the matching 8-cubby bookcase (kind of like Ikea's Expedit) again this year. I'd like to get that for album and paper storage.
My plan is to spend 15 minutes every day decluttering throughout my house. I have too many drawers that have become junk drawers and too many closets with unknown debris on the floor.

I will get into "must organize NOW" mode in March sometime (more daylight hours, right now it's dark from 3 pm to 9 am, and it's zapping my energy) and then I plan to get rid of 50 % of my scrapbook supplies.

Just decided to purge all of those unused (and, frankly, ugly) little clear stamps that are on the sheets with other stamps that I do use.
Liberating.

Awesome, feels great to get an organizing project done! I've been doing a pretty good purge of my room for several months now, slowly but surely. I haven't got rid of anything yet until I'm done purging. Then I hope to do a combo of selling and donating. I am enjoying freeing up more space in my room for "pretty stuff" rather than supplies, because I swear, I love decorating and organizing my space more than I do scrapping in my space sometimes!  |

I know I probably only got a quarter back on what I originally spent but that's ok. Now, I only have the stuff I want to use and it's limited. My choices happen much faster because I don't get sucked in trying to decide between 20 things. Now it's like 3! |

Once I finally start cleaning, it's becuase I want to craft, and by the time I get sick of cleaning / organinzing (because, of course, it never gets all done), I don't want to craft any more. It's a vicious cycle! |
