Mine is a miniscule vent- all my veggies are doing a great job this year. I tried several new items ( spinach, potatoes and eggplant) That eggplant refuses to cooperate. There are blossoms but they tend to dry up and fall off. It gets watered regularly so I guess the bees are not doing their job. You can try hand pollinating them with a small paint brush (google can show you how) but too much nitrogen in the soil can cause blossom drop and so can too much wind. Ive been trying the paintbrush pollination method and increasing the water. I doubt the winds in my area are a cause of blossom drop since no other crops are affected by our winds. |
