I am actually going to upload my photos to Snapfish tomorrow and have all the prints I need ordered by the end of this weekend.
Instead of doing it the day before I leave like I did last year!!!
It was a mess! 3 trips to the store for pickup. One store Walmart says they didn't get my order but if I went to the other Walmart store they could print them right then. 1st Walmart printer was down.
But I thought I would be smart and re order them but use Walgreens. Ordered them but couldn't get matte. Ugh.
So i went to the 2nd Walmart and made the order and just as they were about to print first Walmart called and said they had the order and they had already been printed.
So back in the car and went to pick them up. Dark. Snowy. Cold.
BTW all in all the store people were pretty helpful.
My retreat is the 29th. So way ahead of this game!!

Well I got my order for 50 percent off. Which is good cuz I took the lazy girls way and just ordered all of the!! 809 prints. Its okay because for some I need duplicates for duplicate scrapbooks. So if 2 pics look alike but ever so slightly diff thats okay.
Tried my best to get rid of blurry or stooooopid ones so as not to be wasteful.
Thank for the above promo codes! I appreciate it.
So now they get here this week and I am GOOD!!!!

Ahhh...starting to panic. My retreat is next weekend and I'm not organized yet at all! Maybe I'll just go buy the selphy? I already have to take my laptop to use my Silhouette...

Freefallfast, sorry you had such a pain getting your photos, but good for you at being so organized & ahead of the game. Have a great time on your retreat!

I spent an hour this morning editing photos from the last two months for an online crop in two weeks. I new have to upload them to order from Persnickity Prints, but right now the cat wants to cuddle. So everything is on hold.

The Canon Selphy is a personal photo printer that's about the size of a lunchbox... it's great if you need last-minute pics, or don't decide what pics to print until the last minute when you're scrapping. The prints are pretty good quality and glossy finish.
BUT, it's about 30 cents per print, versus the much cheaper prices from mail-order places, and you can only buy the ink / paper in bundles from Canon. One other thing- the prints are NOT a 'true' 4x6 size; the 6-inch side is a bit short once you take off the perforated edges that come on the photo paper. I'm one of those 'last-minute' scrappers, so I like it most of the time and have learned to live with the cons.
eta: and when I go on my 3-day SB retreat, I take pretty much everything but the kitchen sink, so I do take my laptop, Silhouette, Selphy, etc. etc. I inevitably cut some photos wrong and end up having to re-print them.

LavenderLayoutLady, those are good coupon codes-- thanks for sharing!! Like I said, I usually print mine last-minute, but I have 2000 pics from our 2-week Hawaiian vacation, so I might get most of those printed somewhere else. Since I usually only print a few pics at a time, I can't imagine what a stack of 800 or more photos would look like- it would be fun to look through them!

The 800 will cover my entire year. From cats to holidays to my 50 bday party to everything else. From both my camera and my phone camera. I imagine it's gonna be huge. I am actually gonna try to sort them before I leave. So i can just sit down and scrap.

Keri w : what pray tell is a selphy? Or maybe I shouldn't know...... Crimsoncat gave a great explanation. I end up ordering WAY more prints than I use so I'm curious if the higher cost per print might be a wash for me... My plans for last night changed so I ended up editing and ordering my prints from wal-mart. I'm fortunate that one of my local stores does a good job (others definitely don't!). I feel slightly more prepared.

So exciting! My annual 4-day retreat is in spring, but I have had actual nightmares about getting there and not being prepared. I fly half way across the country to IL every year, so there's a lot of planning esp. that week with 3 kids, and I think the anxiety messes with my head! ...like I'm there with my supplies, but forgot all of my photos, or my supplies are at the Paper Doll House but I'm stuck in the wrong state... it's friggin horrifying! LOL So glad you are ready in advance-no nightmares for you!!!

Luckily another attendee was able to bring them!! See, THAT is what keeps me up at night! It actually happens!!! LOL I think I would have a coronary. My husband (alone with 3 boys) would have to load the photos up onto a Walgreens hour photo site or something for me to pick up in Sycamore IL! ...well, I guess that means there's a way. LOL But that also means that leaving all my supplies (esp my beloved PAPER!) would be even worse!!! There's no way I could afford all those collections again, if I could even find them! AACCCKKK!!! I just need to breath deep! hahaha (honestly, I can't believe how tense my shoulders get just typing this! If I ever had a phobia, I would have to say this is it!)

I make most of my pages (vacation) before we even go. I have forced my family into posing a certain way because I want a horizontal or portrait for a page.
