Thrifting is one of my favourite hobbies. I’m currently cleaning out my vintage clothing collection, which is all thrifted. I just got a couple of great vintage ‘60s dresses in the last week. I’m renovating my camper, and have been collecting vintage orange, yellow, and green to outfit and decorate it with. The Thrifting Gods *really* want me to finish that reno! Now I feel really old. I probably wore some of those 60's dresses back in my day. Granny Sax anyone? i I had to look up the dresses you mentioned, and they are so pretty! And very much built for a different body than mine 😹 Most of my fave thrifted vintage dresses are probably late 60s/early 70s, and for the most part homemade. I am a fan of a big obnoxious collar! |

I had to laugh at the Gunne Sax dress. I was never a fashionista and never a dress fan. Levi jeans and corduroys and painter pants were my jive. 😂Not sure how I ended up with it but I did have this Gunne Sax dress because we bought it on sale somewhere and my mother thought I needed to have a dress “just in case” while in high school. I did have to wear it a couple of times. 😆  |

Hoping I've finally found a way to link photos... Here are some of my recent vintage dress thrifts.  1960s cute dress... I love the flowers on it! It feels like it has never been worn.  A homemade dress, guessing early 70's-ish.  I call this one my Tetris dress. It is also homemade. I love the big bold collar.  '60s-ish house dress (which I wear out of the house!)  I think of this one as my apple dress, even though it has no apples on it. Another homemade one. Guessing late 60s on it. I love the lace trim on the collar. It also has one pocket.  No idea when this one is from... I sometimes wear it with a vintage belt and sometimes I wear it more like a caftan. It is also homemade.  And lastly, my new favourite muumuu. I don't mind looking ridiculous.  |
