1. People on Tik Tok (or wherever) that tap the box or container with their fu*kin’ nails before taking 10 fu* kin’ minutes to add their sh* tty processed ingredients to make their awful dump cake, casserole or whatever? There, I feel a bit better. How about you?

The finger nail thing is inexplicable. Why? As for the shittiest recipes, they do that for views and they make loads of money from doing it.

Makes sense. I hadn’t thought of that.

Any auto-play video (reel, etc.) where the person is whispering. The sound of whispering is like nails on a chalk board to me. And yet it seems the rest of the world considers it a soothing ASMR sound, so people use it a lot.

Threads: as far as I can tell 95% are posted simply as rage-bait for engagement. It is rare to find an authentic conversation, yet my IG keeps on suggesting them.
As far as fingernails, I don't see that (am not on TT), but any ASMR and I am outta there in .5 seconds flat. I do see the long and very THICK nails here and there and do not find them appealing at all.

The wife of my second cousin, once removed, posted a video of their 8ish year old daughter making a Sephora haul video, completely down to tapping on all of the boxes and holding her hand behind the boxes as she held it closer to the camera. It made me so sad, as I have no idea how many countless haul videos that little girl had seen to copy them.

Mine is that we have these bird feeders that the squirrels keep climbing on to get at the bird seed and they drive my dog nuts. As soon as he sees them, he goes off barking like a madman, they run away for ten minutes and then come right back.
It wouldn’t bother me nearly so much except they also keep knocking out the jar that we put jelly in for the orioles so they hit the patio below and break. I don’t even know how they get the jar out of the holder, but they’ve already broken two jars since we started putting them in a deeper holder that logically they shouldn’t be able to get it out of. (A raccoon maybe, but not a squirrel and we haven’t seen any raccoons around on our security cameras.)
We also have a milk can style feeder that they somehow got the top off of and we can’t figure out how that happened either. The top screws on! 🤪

Those brands are fine but so are countless indie brands that don't have the marketing budget they do. Before Mooncat rebranded as that, they were originally a stockist and then started their own brand. It did ok until what I consider the most successful rebrand ever witnessed. Good for them but I HATE the fans who think it's the only brand out there. ILNP and Cirque too. Those are actually boutique brands with large budgets. I've been deep in the indie polish world since about 2011 and the drama is something you'd never expect 🤣🤣

My new pet peeve is people who post an ad for their yard sale on social media and post detailed pics of every single thing they are selling--a dozen pics sometimes. Like close-up photos of every table, pile, bin, etc.
I know it's a very me issue, here. I get that they hope posting those pics will bring in more buyers, and they probably do, because I doubt most people are weird like me about it.
But for me, those pics almost always make me scratch that sale off of my list. For 2 reasons.
1. People start asking if they can buy stuff ahead of the sale, and so many sellers go ahead and do that. So then it stops being a yard sale and turns into FB marketplace. And even when this doesn't happen, if there are any particularly stellar things shown, then people show up ages early to stalk the sale to try to get the "good stuff" first. Ugh. Around here that used to be stuff that only happened at estate sales. Now more and more it's happening at the yard sales too and it bums me out.
2. Part of why I like yard sales is the surprise of finding something you never expected, and having the ads plastered over with pics takes that surprise or treasure hunting element away.

When people on Reels have their mouth covered for something “amazing-can’t miss” stupid thing.
Also, when Reel posters wag their fingers, telling not to do something. SO annoying.

Ooooh, and this: I follow our local police scanner group (as well as the actual scanner page.). People think they are funny, posting really stupid stuff on very serious situations (something exploded. What was it? “Oh, sorry, I had Taco Bell.” Or, there are a ton of police cars flying down… “Must be a sale on donuts!” OMG!!! Those jokes are barely funny, but are even less funny on a serious post. Makes my blood boil!

We have a few of those in one group. They also say -must have had an Arby’s meat mountain sandwich. The Arby’s closed not long ago and they are still making that joke.

Right now. I’m more than “peeved” at my neighbors. Big noisy graduation party. Outside. From 3-7. LOUD SHITTY RAP MUSIC. THAT I CAN HEAR INSIDE MY TOTALLY CLOSED UP HOUSE!! HUGE SPEAKERS. OUTSIDE. POINTED TOWARDS MY HOUSE. It’s now 9pm. The music is still going. It’s awful. Why is rap music language so filthy? And there are young children over there. JFC.
Checking the local noise ordinance now.

When people prioritize views over the safety of their children. It is one thing if you are videoing your child playing and they accidentally get hurt. It is completely different when you video your very small child trying to carry the toddler down the stairs and they both fall!!!!
