Hi dinner peas. Posting anyway, even though I don't have as whole lot to say LOL. Dinner was rechauffe.
DH and I were away the week before last for the annual gaming convention we attend to run (& play) games - D&D for him, and board games for me. I'll post more about that later.
We had a lot of fun at the convention but after getting home a week ago Sunday night, we both came down with a *(&^*%8 summer cold. Ugh! And after being off the previous week, neither of us was able to take time off while we were sick so we both just worked through it. (Both of us work remotely, so no worries about us sharing our whatever with co-workers.) I did take a COVID test Friday but it was negative. I'm still congested, have a sore irritated throat, and very, very tired even after sleeping a large part of the weekend. I finally did get the laundry from our trip done...well, washed, dried, and folded at least - not yet put away.
I'm very much looking forward to the upcoming 3-day weekend!

I hope your day got better naby64I must confess I’ve never built a Lego project. Dd 3 was in town for a wedding. Barely saw them as was to be expected. We’re going to see her new apartment in 2 weeks. She moved to Farmington Hills. Luke & Benny Boy came over dd needed out of the house. Then we came to the lake to prep for July 4th. I had to have an exterminator come and spray for ticks in the yard. We’re overrun with deer so they’re everywhere. Poppy brings them in and they jump on us. She has a script from the vet for them. My niece has Lyme disease so I’m just extra aware. Met friends at the local bar so I had grilled cheese & pickles. Friday I went to the Le Creuset warehouse sale. It was still pretty expensive. Dd1 wanted a Dutch oven and I wanted an everyday pan or a braiser. I ended up with a stockpot and a giant oval skillet. I’m going to make pizza this week in it. I’ll use the stockpot a lot. The workers are flown in to work at these sales from all over the Hoping your grandbaby continues to wait for your arrival suegI’m a day hiker. I need to be busy on vacation. Dd1 and her dh are backpackers. Not me I want a bed. |

I bound a quilt by hand this winter. no sewing machine at my condo. it took awhile.. since I had never done it before. not perfect looking.. but that quilt had been unbound for maybe almost 100 yrs.

That sounds like what I went through earlier this year when I had to miss my 4-day crop. Tested negative until the morning when I was leaving for the crop and tested positive. I hope you feel better soon! |

Good morning from me! I missed checking in yesterday as life was so busy!  It is just glorious here. Totally blue skies, gentle breeze, saltwater pool with lots of spare deck chairs - everyone else must be down on the beach. The food is great as well. There is a buffet breakfast that covers just about everything - bacon and eggs, yogurt and fruit, bread, sliced meats and cheeses, and pastries. There are also local specialties. For lunch there is a bar near the pool that mostly does salads and focaccia. For dinner our first two nights we’ve done the fixed price restaurant - 4 courses, 3 choices for each course. We have eaten so much seafood from the local area. We’ve just booked an all day excursion on a catamaran for Wednesday and I have a facial and massage booked for Thursday afternoon. I talked to DS while we were on our layover Sunday and baby was still where it should be. Haven’t had any news since - I think this truly is a case of ‘no news is good news’ I’ll be there in 10 days, so it just needs to be patient for a little while longer. |
