Do you have anything good to share? I do!
After some months living with this Chihuahua I inherited from MIL, I finally found him a good home! The couple met us today outside of Petco and he did GREAT. They have experience with senior dogs AND already have a long haired Chihuahua.
They seem super nice and they brought treats and make homemade dog food and he should be in heaven. He let them both pick him up and feed him treats and acted like a normal dog, though I warned them in a long email about all his issues before we met. Lol I would have felt bad not mentioning everything.
I feel so happy about this, both for him and for us! It seems like a wonderful home for him. They took off in their BMW SUV so he's already upgraded 🤣

That's awesome! I can only imagine what I would do if I had to inherit my Dad's 3 dogs. /cry

I think this a better than good news…for all of you! They get a dog they can dote on and you get to know that he is in a good home and it is not yours. 😉😆.
On another note - I can’t see the word chihuahua without thinking about my favorite show ever… WKRP in Cincinnati…and one of my most favorite lines. As Johnny asks Les what are the names of those dogs Les pronounces it Chi - Who-a who-a(s). 🤣
ETA - nothing really good to share at this time (nothing bad either) but today is hump day for me…after tonight I am halfway through a 10 days straight stint at work. Not treacherous but happy when they are done. 😄

Oh my goodness I’m so happy for you!! I know that the dog wasn’t a good fit in your house. I hope it all works out great in his new home!
I have good news. My 30 year old son, who failed to launch, got his drivers license in May and started working last week. I have supported him completely for 5 1/2 years. I’m 63 and at the point in my life where I should be saving more for retirement. He’s working 40 hours a week, overnights in an Amazon warehouse. They pay 1 1/2 times minimum wage for our state. I’m just praying he sticks it out and continues working.

No one is celebrating the good news more than your cats, Zee. I'm glad that you found doggie a great home. KelleeM , congratulations to your son. I hope that it works out really well for him and that he meets friends who can give him rides to and from work until he buys his own car. I am status quo. In my life, no news is good news.

Great news about the dog. So glad it went to what sounds like the perfect home.
My good news is that I’m not actually dying yet. My cancer isn’t spreading much at the moment, I feel good, and life is going great. Grateful for every extra day. My kids are in a good place. My 96yo mom is still kicking ass. My gentleman friend makes every day happy. I am in between remodeling projects, so there’s peace in my home for the moment. Life is good.

Kid 3: after a huge struggle during COVID has found his groove with engineering and physics and life in general and I’m just so happy for him - yay!!! Happy for all your kids, but this makes me especially happy. COVID also hit my DH hard and he's mostly rebounded, but not quite all the way. It's good to know other kids who struggled through that time are shining. @zee - yay for finding a great home... that's not yours lucy - that's a beautiful update ❤️

It’s so great reading about everyone’s good news! 🩷
Mine is that I’m healing slowly but surely from my foot surgery earlier this month. I still have two long months to go before I will be semi back to normal (although it will be more like 6-12 months before I’ll be fully healed). I’m thankful that DH insisted I ask my doctor for a temporary handicap parking permit, which was granted. It sure does make life a whole lot easier. It’s amazing how much harder and more work it is to do virtually anything scooting around with a knee walker. I’m also thankful that it’s summer and I have my DD around to help with things like shopping and laundry.

Zee - I'm so glad you've found a good home for the pup lucyg - LOVE your update - you're an inspiration KelleeM - as mum to a failure-to-launch adult as well - CONGRATULATIONS to your son (and to you) - you give me hope DD18 started college today and seems to have had a good day although so far she's not loving her classes. Pippin (our newly adopted kitten) is settling in well and Dorian (our 8 y/o cat who drives me crazy at times because he's not litter box trained - he HAS started using puppy pads so win, I guess?) has adopted the kitten and is the best kitten sitter ever. Mini (15) is finding Pippin a little energetic but he's accepted him. Dusty (4) is coming around and PadBear (4) is no longer BIGMAD - she's just alternating between ignoring Pippin and glowering at us

As a dog lover/owner, I know my sons would love taking my dogs. They have their own and one of my pups is a bit bitchy. I would love to see my pups go to a great home in that case. Good job!

Wow! So many good things here!!
Our good news is that my grandbaby is still in my daughter’s tummy tucked safe and sound.
Also, my blow out yesterday afternoon put a small wrench into my day today, but the tow truck driver was a darling, and on time. Then, tire shop was able to get 4 new tires on for me, before 10am.
Before they started on my car, while the shop owner was working on my paperwork (fleet)- the guy busting his tail in the garage came in to get a marker. No idea why it was so important, but the both of them tore the office up looking for one. I always have a few sharpie markers in my car- and I gave him two. Tiny thing, but it felt nice to help.

My good news is we are all doing well. Dad has a very busy social life. Dexter and I are doing well.
It’s quite warm outside. I took Dexter for a longer walk and plan to go again in a couple of hours.
I got something in the mail that was the wrong colour. That said I tried it out and it is just as good as the thing I wanted so I am ok with it. (It’s makeup and still very pretty).
I got something in the mail on Sunday and they are thigh protectors so I don’t get chub rub. The length is too long but they are just so comfortable I think I will try to shorten them and they will be great. The fabric is stellar. I didn’t know they would feel like this. They are from Thighsociety and are worth every penny.

DH had a second interview for a job today and he said he had an answer for every question, the interviewer skipped the first question because it seemed pointless to ask because he has 11+ years of experience, and they seemed to really hit it off.
I'm hoping this is the one! He isn't happy in his current role and this job would be a move for us, but we would be near family (my brother) and could actually be homeowners!
🤞🏼

Another small "good news": my cucumbers are doing really well this year! I only tried one plant bc previous years in PA and GA have all met with failure.
But so far this year, I have gotten many and have 3 jars of refrigerator pickles. I tried the first jar last night and they were THE BEST!
Bad news is that my stellar tomato plants have been attacked by hornworms and I'm not sure they're all going to make it. I took a few days off patrolling them and they were decimated. I'm so pissed about this but at least my peppers and cucumbers are still good.
