I'm anti-AI due to how horrible it is for the environment, not to mention how it is already taking jobs away from people (I have 5 friends that have been laid off from their tech jobs due to AI taking over). Also, kids in middle school, high school & college are using AI (chatgpt, etc) to cheat when writing papers. And don't get me started how AI is ruining all the arts. . . so I guess long story short, I will not be using AI. *steps off my soapbox That all being said, it is amazing and scary how well it's working now. I have been in and out of the tech sphere/tech jobs for the past 25 years and I'm usually very pro-technology, but this raises way too many concerns for me. After all that, I'm curious to see how people are using it too. God, I'm such a hypocrite.

I'm not a fan of using it, myself. And I'm not a fan of some of the scrapbook lines I've seen that have an AI vibe about them to me, either.

I'm not an AI fan tbh - I dislike how it plagiarizes actual artists, it's bad for the environment, and it's pushing people out of jobs. Plus so much of what it creates is...very obviously AI.
I CAN see it having a role in some areas, I would personally prefer it not to be in the creative sector though.
That said - if you're happy with how it worked out for you -great!

If I have used AI in my junk journals it was something I bought off of Temu or whatever. I have not created my own. I have enough stuff for a few lifetimes that I don't need to go down that hole. And I pretty much haven't bought any more Temu type papers in a long time. I am using more of what I have or buy the real stuff at thrift stores, garage sales, etc.

How did you use Sora to change the file? I've never heard of Sora.

I have mixed feelings about AI.
If you look closely at AI artwork, you may sometimes see a third leg, or some other undesirable aspect. And reportedly AI artwork is created based on stored images from a variety of artists, not all who have necessarily given permission for their art to be used. The latter has been a subject of debate in my home.
However, I love what I can do with AI images from Creative Fabrica. I have a year’s membership and have downloaded a lot of fun designs. Today I’ve been using them to create print and cut files for using on cards and layouts. Depending on the designer, some of them look just as nice as anything you can buy from the LSS. I can’t help but wonder if that is no coincidence.
I still make the 25 minute drive to shop at my LSS about once a month, but I like and use some AI artwork, too.

I played around with it sometime last year, and made a few 'stickers' to use on my digital pages. But I can't for the life of me remember how I did it, and what program I used. It was fun to play around with.

I forgot to mention. I’ve been bringing the AI images I’ve purchased into my Silhouette software. I have the Silhouette Business version, so I’m not sure if the basic or intermediate versions can do as much with the images as I can. I can determine how much (if any) border the image has, tweak, merge images, etc., and once I am ready, I use my Silhouette to cut the images out.

I'm anti-AI due to how horrible it is for the environment, I know absolutely nothing about AI, except that it can be used to create fake images. Also used in robots? How is it harmful to the environment?

Does anyone start using AI for crafting? No; I have zero interest in AI. ETA: I'm not an AI fan tbh - I dislike how it plagiarizes actual artists, it's bad for the environment, and it's pushing people out of jobs. Plus so much of what it creates is...very obviously AI. ... I would personally prefer it not to be in the creative sector ... Same

I've used Chatgpt a few times to help me with scrapbooking titles when I've wanted something a bit unusual.I've not always gone with any of Its suggestions but it kickstarts my own creativity.

I have not and will not use AI for scrapbooking or card making.
Like others, it is super bad for the environment and honestly I feel like it is stealing every and all creative ideas ever and mashing it up to make XYZ.
