I heard that on the radio too
I'm not in the puppy market right now as we prepare for my dog to enter doggie hospice--she's become resistant to the chemo and has lymphoma. 😭😭
But I went to donate some cat food to the HS the other day and did see one that tugged at my heartstrings a little.
Not sure I'll get another dog for a while. Jovie is going to be very hard to replace. She's been the perfect dog. It's so hard to say goodbye 😢

FYI the dog in that movie is AI generated. I heard a lot of people thinking that it was a real dog.

It is so hard to lose a member of your family.

Not to nitpick but the dog was created using CGI, according to this article. www.cnn.com/2025/07/12/entertainment/superman-krypto-dogThey actually used Gunn’s dog as a model which has to be cool for him to see.

Sigh....I heard 101 Dalmatians inspired many people to get Dalmatians and then shelters and rescues had an over-abundance of abandoned Dalmatians. People suck!

I heard a lot of people thinking that it was a real dog. seriously! i hope adopters don't believe Kryto is actually a real dog and that they can find the same kind of dog too. but if the movie gets more people interested in adoption then i am all for it. i just hope they are doing it for the right reasons and not as a fad. pets are not disposable like that.

DD (18) and her friends wanted to see it, and I tagged along (they didn't care since I bought the tickets ) and the movie was really good but the dog did steal the show.

Totally just wanting to correct it since there's a big difference in CGI and AI, but I can see how it'd get confused! They did a phenomenal job with Krypto from my understanding.
