DS decided he wants to start playing tennis together. I haven't even picked up a racket in well over ten years, but I'm always down to do whatever activities together that he wants.
We've played a couple times this week and it's become VERY apparent that the athletic shoes I have now are not suitable for tennis - they are too grippy and when I've gone for a couple long-reach balls, I've nearly face-planted because the shoes stick instead of slide.
I do not remember what kind of shoes I wore in the past for tennis and liked... any peas have suggestions? We'll only be playing on hard surface courts.

I’ve liked and worn K Swiss since high school - I like a stability shoe. Actually lately though I really like my Vejas (yes for tennis) and I have my eye on the Roger (On) but I haven’t actually tried it yet. Have fun! (LOVE tennis)

(LOVE tennis) I saw the Roger Ons at Nordstrom the other day but I hadn’t yet discovered the trouble with my current shoes. I’ll try those on and check out K-Swiss too. Thanks!

Oh great! I think I’ll pick them up too. We are doing a tennis tournament (just for fun with friends ) up in Tahoe this weekend. Next you’ll need some good tennis skirts… (Also the story of Roger Federer and On is pretty cool)

But really, what are you favorite brands…

I’ve bought tennis skirts from all over - and pretty much happy with all but my favorite is an inexpensive one off Amazon - I have 3 of them… I have an Athleta one I’m not crazy about. I like the looks of the slim one from Vuori. I’ve had my eye on a new brand I discovered- Varley, but haven’t bought anything yet… A friend who plays a lot of tennis just recommended and swears by The Bubble skirts. She claims they are fabulous and flattering - but very expensive…not sure if that’s your thing, its definitely “a look” lol.

I like Varley but haven't checked out their tennis skirts. However, a skirt called The Bubble gives me flashbacks to my awful bubble hem dress from my 9th grade dance circa 1987 and nooooooo The only one I currently have is from Athleta and I don't love it. The material is too thick.
