I saw the Facebook live yesterday. I really love botanical buzz. I think I’m going to get the paper and maybe the die cuts. It reminds me a lot of Krafty Garden.
I like the Christmas collection also, but I have a bunch of Vicki’s last two Christmas collections so I will probably hold off.

I do NOT need any more Christmas OR 49& Market
I do like bits and pieces of both collections though

I love the colors of Botanical Buzz - I will probably buy most of it. Vicki's Christmas collection is also fab. I already have a ton of Christmas I need to use but I'm very tempted!

I think Botanical Buzz has lots of really lovely pieces in it, it's just not for me.
I like some of the papers in the staples pack from Vicki's line. I really like the rub on pack with all the stars and snowflakes and I might pick up that and the puffy titles. Otherwise I typically find Vicki's Christmas lines to be too dark and dreary overall so I'm happy to pass on the rest.

I really was excited to see a 49 and Market Christmas collection, but I hate it. I don't like all the black.
Botanical Buzz has some pretty papers, but nothing I feel like I must have.

I like the solids for Botanical Buzz. They have a Basic Grey solids feel to me, which I like. But I just don't know that I need any of them. But the rest looks too much like the style 49 & Market seems to have moved to these days which I don't really care for.
Mistletoe & Memories: I really appreciate that this line doesn't look so much like a lot of their other recent lines. On the flip side I only like one of the individual paper/papers in the pack, and none of the embellishments. I also didn't love the solids. BUT, I did find that I liked the papers in the *pads* fairly well. So it was a real mixed bag for me with this one.
All of that being said, though, I have so many Christmas lines that I like so much better than this one, so I won't be buying anything.
I thought the b-sides with the snowy sky and evergreens could be nice for X-mas tree farm pics, but they are not the right scale for me to use in my 6x8 pocket page albums, and since the smaller pad offered has different papers, I can't get a scaled down version.

MISTLETOE & MEMORIES is nice. I can see me using the 6x8 paper and some of the embellishments along with the tag paper to create a mini album. Like many others, I am inundated with Christmas lines that I’ve yet to use.
I also noticed on ACOT that 49& Mkt does not allow their products to be discounted. That’s a bummer since they are so highly priced.

I love bee stuff, but I'm not a Dennis Bruton fan... so pass.
If I was not on a buying freeze -we'll see how long that lasts... I will also pass on the Christmas line and then probably regret it later. I do like Vicky's past Christmas stuff as well, it's different.

I like the Christmas one very much. I do not like 49&Market says no discounts on their things.
If SB or ACOT wants to discount, they should be able to.
Per 49 and Market policy, this product is not eligible for any discounts.

I saw the new disclaimer >> "Per 49 and Market policy, this product is not eligible for any discounts". Not liking this new policy of 49 and market. If it had been that way along, since the beginning......then okay. But suddenly instituting this new policy.........not liking that at all, it just rubs me the wrong way.
I like a couple things in the Vicki Boutin collection. Not sure if I will order or not, because of the new "policy". Still thinking it over.

I like Botanical Buzz- I'm not a real fan of bees but I love daisies and hexagons. I really like the solids. I also like the layering pieces. I like a few of the A sides and almost all of the B-sides. I usually like the chipboard titles but the phrases in this one make my eyes roll. For Dennis Bruton, though, it is pretty decent. He is my least favorite designer, though.
Mistletoe and Memories doesn't thrill me, except for the solids (staples?). I love them- I need two of each. I can see those showing up on a ton of my layouts. The paper pad papers are so much better than the individual sheets offered- I wish they sold those papers as individual sheets. I like the chipboard titles/frames and the puffy sticker titles. I do not like the die cuts and laser cuts at all. I don't know if it is all that black but they just look depressing. So I think I will get the paper pad, the solids, and the puffy stickers and go through my stash to find embellishments.

Love that the collections are two totally different palettes. And I DO love both sets. Need them? No. Love them, yes.

Botanical Buzz has some nice pieces but I’m trying to shop my stash.
The no discounts rule is ridiculous IMHO. Their prices are higher than most of the other popular companies’ and now no discounts. Even blanket discounts like percentage s off of entire order. Maybe they think the more their items cost the more desirable they are and they’re the Prada of the scrapping world.

I wonder if it would depend on if ACOT runs the points as a discount or as a reward or form of payment---like a gift card, almost.

Here's a thread/discussion on the ACOT board about 49 and Market's new policy. Link. It looks like the no discounts is for the first 30 days the item is available. I still don't like it.

There are going to be those who fall in love with a line and want everything no matter what, and they'll buy it at full price.
But there will also be those who look at it and think "It's nice. It could be useful." but who do not feel compelled to have it. And those people I imagine are the ones who will might wait out that time period. But then if they wait it out, and find that too many elements have sold out, they may just opt out of buying it at all, kwim?
So I guess time will tell if 49 & Market has enough of the "must buy it now" fans to make this work for them.

Well dang, I love the christmas line! I need NONE of it, but will certainly pick some up - especially the basic pps. DANG!
I also really like the colour palate of Buzz, although none of the ephemera appeal to me at all.

... I like the Christmas collection also, but I have a bunch of Vicki’s last two Christmas collections so I will probably hold off. IF you were looking for justification to purchase, Mistletoe & Memories is the first VB-designed holiday collection from 49 & Market; previous VB-designed holiday collections were manufactured by American Crafts.

Although I need zero Christmas papers I do like "Mistletoe & Memories" quite a bit so I'll probably pick up a few sheets. "Botanical Buzz" doesn't appeal to me as much but I like the hexagon patterns. The "Flip Stand" seems like an odd size. It's pretty big but yet just misses the 8.5x11 size. Not tempted by it at all. Thanks PaperAngel.

I really like "Mistletoe & Memories" especially the staples pack - I need multiples of that! I'll wait until my LSS has these & check them out in person. I have plenty of Christmas papers but I really like these.

I do NOT need any more Christmas OR 49& Market ... Given the popularity of both the holiday & brand (especially past Katie Pertiet-designed collections), it appears you're in good company!

Thanks to those who pointed out the “no discounts” disclaimer - I totally missed that. I generally buy stuff from ACOT using the preorder discount. It’s weird because ACOT is the one that takes the profit loss from the discount, not 49&M. Maybe it helps Vicki B sell from her shop? But her appeal is that the event classes are basically free since the price of the event is usually the cost of all the product.
That said, the puffy stickers and maybe the rubons are the only things I plan to get. I have so much Christmas stuff that I need to really love it to add to my stash or I need to like it a lot and it be a good deal.

... I thought the b-sides with the snowy sky and evergreens could be nice for X-mas tree farm pics, but they are not the right scale for me to use in my 6x8 pocket page albums, and since the smaller pad offered has different papers, I can't get a scaled down version. Ugh! I only buy 12x12 patterned paper so dislike when the reverse happens: a pattern available in 6x8 is not also offered in 12x12. It seems offering all patterns by-the-sheet in both 6x8 & 12x12 would appeal to the most papercrafters.
