Scissors and tiny stamps are notorious for wandering off mid-scrap... but what unexpected thing has wandered off from your scrap desk recently?
I am missing most of the photos I took at the Library of Congress. I had everything sorted for that trip in file folders with the cardstock for each page, but that folder has disappeared. I have one photo that is not missing (because it was in the wrong folder) but who knows where the rest went. I guess it's time to clean up my scrapbook corner...
What about you?

I can't find some of my dies from the 2024 Spellbinders Advent calendar. It's so annoying! Whole die sets. Grrrrr.

There is only one chocolate (Ghiradelli dark chocolate sea salt caramel) left in my candy dish. All the rest.....seem to have disappeared. Just a couple weeks ago, the dish was full. ![]()

I keep misplacing the Snap! hard plastic square templates thingies. They blend in and slip between piles and get buried. I had just found the 2” square that was MIA for a year, and now it’s gone again. 😫

On a daily basis, I lose track of scissors, glue runners, particular ink pads, the “ pokey tool “. Once I lost a magnetic ruler for over a year…. It had attached itself to the back of another ruler! The item that I am missing at the moment is a heartbeat die. Not sure if it was all one set or two, but I know I had a coffee cup and a heartbeat die, each with the ekg jagged line. Can’t find either one…

A Stampin Up Whale Tail Punch. I know it’s there somewhere but I have looked for YEARS. I ended up purchasing another one, but I haven’t given up the search.
I’m also missing photo from a Dallas Cowboys game I attended in 2011 or 12. Can’t find them digitally or printed. During me nuts. We took the tour and I took a picture on the STAR!

Past Me decided quite a few years ago —when I didn’t yet have a ton of holiday stamps, lol— that I should tuck any Christmas-themed stamps in the basement because they would likely only be used during part of the year. But years later, no other holiday stamps made it downstairs, and I’d found a way to organize them up here in a section of their own. Now the only ones missing were those basement-dwellers …and now we’d shifted so many things around down there that they were lost.🤦♀️
Cut to last week, and while we were decluttering down there, my daughter was the real MVP. I asked her to keep an eye out for them along with me, and she found them within the first couple of hours. They included individual giant-sized red rubber candy cane & mitten stamps from Unity Stamp Co, very versatile for both Christmas and winter, so I am quite glad to welcome them back into the fold.😊

Used only once I am missing the white paint pen recommended by Michym. I can't for the life of me find it in my craftroom.

Me. I am the missing item in my scrapbook room. Its been too busy to get in there to play. Sad trombone -- I hope you get some playtime soon! There are two stamps that have vanished (over the last two years or so) -- a small flower center from a set I don't really like from a big C&CD event and the one sentiment I used frequently from a set I bought on sale a couple years ago. I would resell/donate/rehome both sets if I could find the missing piece. I would give up and do so anyway, but sense that the second the set was out of the house the missing piece would mischievously show up!

My clear T-square is always lost. It has a special place when I put it away, but it seems to disappear in stacks of paper. I even put washi tape on the back so it has some color. It will turn up, but I may order another.

My friend lost her whole bin of stamps several years ago. I scrapbooked a few weeks ago and could only find a few of the CM circle cutting templates, not the whole set. Probably the first time I have used them in awhile but where the other ones are, who knows.

Usually if I can’t find something I know I own I can find it in one of my ongoing projects boxes. Typically I only keep project specific supplies in there. General tools and supplies are supposed to go back where they belong when I pack up the project box. But if I purchased a general supply specifically for a single project I’ll often store it in the project box, like a die or embellishment pack. Months later I’ll remember I own it but not remember the details. It’s happened often enough that’s one of the first places I check now.
Recently, I randomly discovered an errant sentiments shadow die in the wrong pocket and looked through all of my stamps and couldn’t find the corresponding stamp and I have zero idea what it belongs to. But typing this out reminded me that I have an image with all of the sentiments from that collection so I can concentrate on specific pockets. Talking this through was helpful, thanks!

Nothing ATM. I'm a creatively-challenged, indecisive, & S-L-O-W scrapper, so I always "clean" as I go as a stall tactic for time to consider choices in the next step of my layout process which also reduces the chance of misplacing tools/supplies.

The dedicated scrap area itself is missing!
I'm finally starting to get back into scrapbooking a bit again, but man, it would be so much easier of I could do what I used to do and leave everything I'm working on out on a desk, and play with it for a few minutes here and there, as time and inspiration allow.

I know I have a set of cat stamps that came with a magazine. This is an 8.5x11 set, so not something easily misplaced. I know exactly where the dog stamp set that came with it is, just cannot find the cats. I am thinking it got slid into one of my various storage totes of paper collections and is just waiting for me to dig it out someday. I have so much paper and so it is difficult to get to all of it in the closet at the moment.
When I am in my cardmaking modes (couple days a week), I am constantly losing my acrylic block for my stamps. That thing often slides under a small stack of paper or something, no matter how neat and organized my work surface is at the time.

I ended up reprinting my missing photos… today I’m missing my corner rounder. I’m thinking it fell off the back of my desk into DS Lego tubs but I’m too lazy to go digging right now.

The cap for my glue. My cat likes to play with my stuff so I always have something or other missing. He knocks things off the table and then bats them all over the house. I'm always finding odd things in weird places. If I did a good job cleaning up after myself it wouldn't happen as much. Or I could lock him in another room while I scrap, but then where would the sport be in that? Part of the challenge of scrapbooking sometimes is trying to work on a layout while he is standing on it.
Also, my problem is often that I have too much stuff. I know I have just the right paper/embellishment for a layout but I can't remember where it is.

apparently the little tin I keep album post extenders in. I primarily use 3-ring albums but I did use post-bound 8x8 for a couple of projects -the last two of which are being finished up now - DD18's high school album and her Girl Scout album and can I find the extenders? absolutely not.
I've added them to today's shopping list...which means they should show up tomorrow once the new ones are installed

He’d come up and lay down over both of my hands on the desk while I wascrafting. He’d totally relax, often purring. The brat He’d do it so often that we buried him laying on a piece of cardstock. Orange, naturally, as he was colored just like a Turkish Van.
