That rendering is fake FYI. As mentioned above, it’s not directly connected and is attached to/in place of the current East Wing. I’ll look for the one I saw yesterday. ETA: The White House as posted renderings. Hadn’t seen the exterior ones before. The last image gives the best perspective of it compared to the main White House. It does look like there’s more than a covered walkway connecting the two but it’s still set off from the main structure. www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/2025/07/the-white-house-announces-white-house-ballroom-construction-to-begin/This is… interesting wording. “The project will begin in September 2025, and it is expected to be completed long before the end of President Trump’s term.”

As others have said, you don’t spend $200M on an addition to a house you plan to leave in three years.

That is disgusting!! Way too big to be sitting there blocking the WH from 360 views... You probably should have done a little research before making that comment. 🙄🙄🙄 Typical.

No more tents. Trump and donor funded… and it will be enjoyed by administrations to come. I think it’s a fantastic idea. I also think that if biden had done it, you all would’ve been tripping over yourselves saying how great it was.

HCR speculates that it seems Trump isn’t planning to go anywhere if he wants to build this big ballroom “with donor money.” I posted this very same thing on Facebook and got the response: "Good" from a Trumper. They are all in on Trump being a dictator.

Just like Mexico paid for the wall! To screen 650 people plus outside staff they will have to start at least a day ahead and staff etc might have to spend the night..?? Think of that many people wandering around the on the WH lawn that close to the WH. How will anyone be sure that they have all left by morning. Oh and will they have to build new kitchens to accommodate the necessary kitchen staff?? Oh and 650 using bathrooms....?? A whole new sewer system.... Did you have the same concerns when Biden hosted a state dinner for the president of Kenya that had 500 guests plus numerous entertainers? Did President Biden also have a new ballroom built for that state dinner? No? Then why would anyone have the same concerns?

And, if it was a beautiful piece of architecture that the American people weren't on the hook to pay for, we'd appreciate that no matter who built it. Because unlike your Trump cult, we are able to divide the deed from the party. You were pretty quiet in that Epstein thread, BTW, which didn't go unnoticed. Nothing to see there, huh? 🤣

He is old, so maybe he is tired, but all of his faculties are in tact. You cannot say the same about trump. At all. Second of all, even if that was true, what does that have to do with my comment about the ballroom? There is absolutely no correlation between the two statements. Maybe it is you who doesn't know what is going on? You do seem a little bit unraveled. Not unlike pedo trump. He is absolutely unraveling and it is a glorious sight to see!

What planet do you even live on? Have you even watched the last couple of "speeches" he babbled in the last few weeks? And FYI, if you think that HE wrote a book, you need your head examined. I know that you are spewing the liberal talking point but even you have to know that biden faculties are all FAR from "intact" and haven't been for the last 4 years. OMG!!! what does that have to do with my comment about the ballroomDid President Biden also have a new ballroom built for that state dinner? No? Then why would anyone have the same concerns? Let me explain it to you in terms that are easier for you to understand. biden wouldn't have had a new ballroom built for that state dinner because he was so mentally incompetent that he couldn't even find his way off stage and had no idea of what was going on during at least the last 2-3 years of his administration. Notice I didn't say presidency, because his handlers ran the country for him because he was too mentally incompetent to run the country himself. So my point is, he wouldn't have had the mental capacity to even suggest proposing a ballroom because he had no idea what was going on around him. Does that help?

I wouldn’t obsess over this crap either with all that is going on, but I am because I am interested in what Trump is saying and his thoughts and comments. Isn’t that what I am supposed to do/how I am supposed to be with my President? I am actually watching and paying attention to HIM actually say these words…not the media but Trump. 🤷🏻♀️ So AGAIN this has absolutely nothing to do with the media…it is me sucking it up and listening and trying to determine answers from Trump. How is that wrong, stupid, or a trigger? I thought it was what I was supposed to do and the sign of a patriotic American? And I now have plenty of time to listen to his rantings as my job, where I have worked for 23 years, has been eliminated. First time in my 61 years, since I was about 7 and had to work at the family business (other than a year abroad as an exchange student) that I have not worked/had a job. It feels so strange but what do you do. It is the golden age of America, I am told, so I am waiting. But now I have a lot of time to pay attention so I will make sure to keep you updated on all these great little nuggets that Trump is saying to keep you in the loop and in the know since you are so busy and I obviously have some time on my hands. 😆 🤣🤣

A congressman in Nebraska stood up at a town hall the other night and told his constituents that he voted to cut SNAP and Medicaid because "the US doesn't have unlimited money." But we've got ballroom money, apparently. (Don't fool yourself that Trump and/or his donors are going to pay - we the taxpayers will get handed this bill, just as we're paying the tariffs and we paid for the wall.)

To slightly change the subject, about a week an ago Trump mentioned that his father was born in Germany. What an ignoramus. So smart and you don’t know that your own father was born in the Bronx, which never was part of Germany.

Thank you. It certainly could be worse. I feel badly for the others (my dept of 6 was of 77 this round) because it is detrimental for so many of them and their families. I would retire early if I could figure out a good insurance option and I have no debt, except for a very small amount on my car that I did to just try and keep my credit scores robust. 😆. So actually for the first time I am going to try and take the rest of the summer and enjoy it and stick my head in the sand about work and insurance and pretend it is just a vacation.

The GOP has lost all credibility with regard to being fiscally conservative. They can all go pound sand.
